Swing Buffalo hosts events at Uki Hall quite frequently and we love it. The hall is reasonably price for rentals. The staff is so friendly and pleasant to work with. The bar area is comfortable. And the front room has additional tables as well as a pool table. Plus the bathrooms are consistently clean. The back hall is a fantastic space. Great floor for dancing. It's got a stage. The lighting is nice. You have tables or not. It has a separate entrance if needed. So it's great for pretty much any kind of event you'd want a hall for. Of course, I haven't even mentioned the food yet. You do need to make sure you eat some of Pani H.'s food. We're talking some of the best pierogis in Buffalo. My favorite thing is this beer, sauerkraut, bean salad that is so good. Uki Hall is a private club so you do need a member sponsor to go. But give them a call. They love sponsoring people. La Divina (the new authentic taco place on Delaware) gives me an extra reason to come down here, plus one of my BFFs works here, so I'm here usually once a week. It's a lovely, leafy suburb. It loses a point because the cops are really intense, and will pull you over for any given thing, especially at night. It's honestly a real nervous hassle driving through here because of all the police stops, and it's such a safe area that I feel it's overkill and unneccessary. It would be nice to see that kind of police presence in high crime areas of WNY, but there simply isn't. Other than that, I'm a huge fan of Kenmore. Other than La Divina, there's good pizza at Mustachio's and a great Salad nearby (Pie O Mine Greens). And also do not miss a burger at Vizzi's while you're up here.

The first shot is a short , left away. A guy comes out, checks your paperwork (so did security),then has u wait til ppl are moving inside. I was taken very fast. They'll call you to a table, take your photo ID, check on the computer to see if you're good to go. Then she / he just jabs the needle ,but u don't feel a thing. Then you go to another seat to wait to make your 2nd appointment. I did that quick & easy. Then, they advise you to stick around for at least 15 minutes , just in case you have some kind of reaction. This was quick, easy & painless . Time for me to go home. =) Oh, all the medical workers and other employees are alllll super nice. You need that for something like this, in case you have a nervous person. These ppl can calm you .

Hello, after trying to deal with a safety concern yesterday, I feel retaliated against by the…read moreofficer who reported to the scene. At the very least, I hope this email serves as documentation that citizens are trying to make the area safer, only to have Kenmore officers retaliate and not address the originating safety concerns. Your dispatchers tell me to call when there's an issue, I call, and then the officer blows up on me, literally asks me to show him how I thought the cars were causing a safety concern. When I tried to show him, I opened my door as the cars were 180* behind me, he slammed it shut and sid you don't ever open your door. He just asked me to show him the cars that were behind me, so I'm dumbfounded by his request. He made it seem like opening the door would get me shot when he asked me to point it out to him. I have 100% of the event on audio/video. I was also worked up and frustrated since he did not care about why he was called to the scene, only to give me a hard time for inquiring. Receiving conflicting info from the dispatcher to the officer and then again from the lieutenant wasn't also a good look IMO. The issue where your officer wanted to pull his gun was related to scenario 4, In the 14 years I have lived on Shepard, the safety issues have only increased. Common scenarios from turning from Shepard, making a left onto Elmwood going towards the 290: The areas that are concerning are: 01.) Bus stop is at the corner (green circle), it's a blind left turn from me (yellow circle) when the bus is parked on the corner. 02.) Then add to this when a delivery is being made at Consumers (red circle), they use both positions shown to unload, the truck(s) back to the dock and block view of oncoming cars on Elmwood. Put both situations together, it's simply not safe to turn off Shepard. Do you not agree the car behind the bus (maroon) is a safety concern for the car (yellow) turning onto Elmwood? I know I pull out blindly hoping not to be T-boned by the (maroon's car, truck or tractor-trailer), all of which who are still traveling at full speed while passing the bus on the right. 03.) Yesterday morning, a construction vehicle (purple circle) was stopped at the stop sign, not doing work, with hazard lights on. My only option was to turn onto Elmwood from the oncoming lane. I called your office, and your dispatcher said these construction crews have been advised on these issues many times, and they will send an officer. So the dispatcher makes my request justified, then the officer and lieutenant say we have to deal with it while construction is going on, and the truck drivers are free to do as they wish. Now add all 3 scenarios together and try to make a left turn, safely. I know I pull out often, blindly hoping not to be T-boned by the maroon car, truck or tractor-trailer, all of which who are still traveling at full speed while passing the bus on the right in scenario 1. 04.) The other issue is on the opposite side of Shepard. Crossing Elmwood from the opposite side of Elmwood, to the side consumers is on, constantly has cars (pink circles) parked near the corner, not allowing 4 cars to pass at the same time. Crossing Elmwood while a car is turning left on Shepard Ave is not possible and is unsafe to try to do so. Now, add a bus to the corner (bottom right, green circle), and you've got multiple safety concerns simultaneously.

Really? Ok. He pointed me to the bank next door to exchange the money and come back to get the money order, which was for $200 CAD. They have great parking here for post office patrons. A few spots for 3 min or less, a few for 15 min or less and then other spots for 2 hours. But those short time spots are what every post office should have. Keeps it moving along. Our neighbours pass mail back and forward as it is put in the wrong box, When you speak to the supervisor, he shruggs his shoulders and makes some excuse which really is of no consequense. This is the main post office I go to. It's 2nd best out of…read morethe 3-4 that I hit up some times. This location (Hertel Avenue) is usually very slow. The employees work as if there's no one in back of the customer,even though the line is almost to the door. Sometimes you'll get a really nice worker who really helps you out & tries to give you advice on how to send something the cheapest way,the fastest way & figure help you out totals of a package,when figuring out how much everything is worth inside the box you're shipping. Others are just rude af ,and make u reopen things,go through it,take crap out & they are just simply bastards. The guy I had today was straight out of "Woodstock" ,listening to some whacky music that does not suit a post office at all. He acted like he was on acid,or just as high as a kite. I felt uncomfortable & all I was doing was buying 2 books of stamps. Lol But,I do have to say,I love the way they have such a huge selection of stamps and all different things from shipping box sizes,to cards,labels,etc.... Such cute stuff.
