The dinner buffet had a nice tossed salad, focaccia and butter, pasta in a cheesy red sauce, haricots vert, chicken in an artichoke and onion sauce with melted mozzarella cheese on top, and roast beef au jus with great horseradish!

This all changed on the 22nd of December because they hosted an incredible market there that day. The name of it escapes me, but it was a creepy Christmas extravaganza! Right up my alley. I had so much fun talking to and buying from the vendors and spent way too much on presents for loved ones. It was two floors, but the elevator was easily accessible, which is a nice touch for us disabled folks. The upstairs was just as lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful and didn't appear to hate their jobs, which counts for something. The smiled as I got my drink at the bar, they smiled when I was on the first floor and needed to throw something out, and they even smiled as I walked in. They all do a great job there, especially with the place so clean and decorated for the holidays. I had so much fun here. I shopped. I drank. Heck, I even sat with Krampus. Merry Creepmas. 5 stars

The Bingo is cheap and the firemen who work Bingo are adorable and super super friendly. They often have chowder you can purchase and proceeds go to the Hall. The snack bar has tons of yummy options! Two high schools, multiple elementary schools, lots of great neighborhoods, plenty of parks, great shopping nearby and easy access to the highway (400) for easy commuting to other places. For a small(ish) town, West Seneca has a lot to offer. The town center area has a newly remodeled library (which even has a coffee shop in it), the pool is beautiful and the town park has a bandshell and other public spaces like baseball diamonds. There are locally owned and chain restaurants and of course, Southgate Plaza which has a variety of retail stores. And a creek that runs through town as well. It is a great place to live and a great place to visit.

Update: Also known as West Snickers because so many people around here have a Candy Bar diet. And Pizza. And wings. And definitely Candy bars. West Seneca is definitely one of the rougher areas of Buffalo in my opinion and I've had a lot of attitude from people who live around here and have never really felt too welcome or safe on the streets around here either. Definitely a low-income area and has some kind of attitude and a lot of racial tension here as well. You'd think low-income people of various races would want to stick together. Empathize. Have each other's back. Strength in numbers. Not so much. Someone has us well controlled and fighting against each other, don't they. They also have some of the best pizza you'll ever eat, so if there is a good reason to come down here it's the pizza and some of the other food as well. Not so much great ethnic food, but some wonderful Pizza and wings for sure. Snow down here can get pretty bad and that's one of the things I'm not big on. And the police are absolutely awful - pulling you over for just a couple miles over the limit and telling you that you did all kinds of things that you didn't do. Now here's the original review: West Seneca is super awesome. I would give it a 5 out of 5 except that I've had a few bad experiences with the locals here and so have a few of my friends. But there are good and bad experiences and attitudes everywhere so I don't hold any grudges. I find that people from the East are more optimistic, whereas I find the "West Cynical." I come to West Seneca all the time because of the fantastic food. Whether it's Abbott Hots, or my fave Pizza and Wings ON EARTH at Imperial on Abbott, or the best real Mexican food ON EARTH at Valle Of Mexico on South Park (which may technically be in SoBu, but who's counting?)... it's replete with resplendent revelations. And like J-Woww once said after a long night of partying, "Where's Snooki's Car?"

I called to ask if they host events, which they do and stopped in at the bar. You have to be "buzzed" in and the bartender allows you through the door. You can feel the eyes move to you as you walk in. There's definitely a regular crowd here. I can't imagine they get many outsiders. I got a tour of the hall. I was shocked at how massive it was. You could host an event here for hundreds of people. Tables and chairs as far as the eye can see. A nice big beautiful bar to boot. Unfortunately it's a little too big and expensive for a stag. Its $300 to rent the hall ($100 down) and you have to pay in full for beer & liquor (it's very cheap to begin with). They're having a meat & gun raffle the upcoming weekends. After my tour I had a few drinks at the regular bar which is a separate building connected to the hall. If you've never had the chance to drink at a post its an experience unlike any other. Beer is $2. Everyone says hello and goodbye to patrons as they come and go. Very old school. I was shocked to read an article in the Buffalo News that this location is going up for sale due to lack of membership interest. This place is open on WED, THUR & FRI. Wednesday is wing and shrimp night. The hall can be reserved on the weekends.

One of, if not THE best library in the Erie County system…read more Clean, super friendly staff, and very well stocked. And its picturesque when the sun shines into the children's area. The Toddler Time sessions with Ms. Laurie are super fun and will help you get to naptime. There's no registration necessary like some of the other local libraries. And beyond books and media they have many computers, toys and a scavenger hunt for little folks.

It's actually none of those places. Although it's all Buffalo honestly, but don't tell anyone easily triggered that I said that, their little minds may explode. It's this little tiny place called Blasdell with an excellent pizza place (the one in the mall named Matayo's, and also Blasdell Pizza, and Bella Pizza too), close to another amazing pizza (Imperial), and a wonderful Souvlaki place that's actually the best in the region (Apollo), and probably the country. It's a little bit poor but then so is your mother which is why she runs that business on the weekends. I have to give it 5 stars just for the insane food that such a tiny little village has.
