We used Kellie Good for the first time last year. The experience was fine. This tax year we have had several questions. I have tried contacting her through phone and the client portal on her website. She doesn't get back to us and the one time I was able to speak to her, she asked me to call her back in two weeks while she researched our question. That was in October. It is now December and I haven't heard from her. We will be finding a new accountant. read more

I called over a week ago asking if they were still taking clients. Kelli scoffed "business or personal" to which I responded personal and that I was concerned about filing this year due to probate & estate taxes. She took my email and said I would have to fax over my paperwork to "evaluate my situation" in a very dismissive tone. I never received an email and after being spoken to the way she did, I wouldn't do business with them if I received an email now. read more

After meeting Kellie, I decided to make a change and asked her to prepare my taxes this year. I first met Kellie with Blackstone Accounting when I looking for an accounting job on the island. She placed an excellent ad on behalf of the client to find a person with some accounting experience. She knew exactly what the client needed and articulated it to me, the interviewee. Through our conversation I knew what kind of work was expected of the person who took the position. She was able to see that I was a good fit for the client. I took the job mainly because she was a consultant for the company and I knew I could have a knowledgable sounding board. Otherwise, I would have expected to feel overwhelmed with the amount of accounting clean up that needed to be done. She is very capable and confident about her work and responds is a quick manner. Whenever I or the owner have questions, her answers are concise and easy to understand. In the 2 months that I have been on the job, I could see all the work she had done already to set up a wonderful new accounting system for the client. And she found me who could continue on with that work and help maintain it. She meets with the client weekly and listens to their needs and she implements what she can immediately and follows up with items that require more research. I have noticed that many people think that if you know how to use a computer, then you can do accounting.... that is so not true! If you just think accounting is data entry, you are very mistaken. Without years of studying the principles of accounting you will only end up with a big mess. Use a company like Blackstone for your accounting needs. You will save years of issues, stress, money... heartburn... believe me. Consultants like her are worth it. read more

Kellie is a calm, competent accountant. I had a couple of bad experiences with previous accountants overlooking important information. In 2010, while working as a Business Analyst for ADP, Kellie became a Certified Payroll Professional. In 2013, she began her Master's program with Hawaii Pacific University, working to obtain her Master's degree in Business Administration.

We chose to get our 2016 taxes done at Jackson Hewitt in Easley, SC (operated by Core Financial…read moreResources) at the end of March because of a recent move/multi-state filing and wanted professional tax help. On June 19, 2017 we got a letter from the state saying there was a problem and that we owed over $500 in taxes (which was collected per W-2). I called the phone number on the front of our tax packet which connected us to a Core Financial Resources office in Anderson, SC. I spoke with Bridgett Bennett. She told me to go ahead and email a copy of the letter for her to look over and then she would make an appointment to help us. I emailed the letter to her. The next day, I emailed her asking if she got the letter. She said yes and promised she would call me "tomorrow". The next day I called her after not hearing from her. She said she would call me the next day. We waited a week and never got a call. Not knowing what else to do, I called the national Jackson Hewitt number. They opened a case for me and promised someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. The following day, Dave Patterson of Core Financial Resources (Partner) in Seneca, SC called me. He insisted I drive nearly an hour to drop off my letter because he doesn't have email. I then asked if we could make an appointment with someone specific since we were driving so far and he said no one could research our problem while we waited. I explained my issue with Bridgett blowing me off for a week already since he said both locations were connected. He didn't care. He didn't even sound like he wanted to help us, more like he was forced to help due to my call to the national line. We drove 50 minutes to see Dave today (6/26/17). Our expectation was we would sit down, look at the letter from the state, Dave would call the phone number on the letter to see what they are looking for and then fax the required paperwork to the state to resolve our issue (which has been our experience in the past with other tax preparers). Instead, he said we needed to call and mail in any required paperwork and figure it out on our own. We said we thought by paying to have Jackson Hewitt prepare our taxes that also meant we would get representation from them, if there were any problems. Dave said our issue wasn't a "preparer issue" so he didn't have to help us. He was smiling the entire time that he was being rude to us and offered zero customer service. We were clearly upset and stated that we would likely not use Jackson Hewitt again. Dave said "good, I've already removed you from our system". Obviously, no effort was made at all to fix this situation or to retain us as future Jackson Hewitt customers.

After MANY unanswered phone calls and emails we were able to speak with Ms Stamey. When questioned why the extension her response was that she simply didn't feel like completing it as it looked complicated. Keep in mind, another partner completed our 2023 return. Incredibly unprofessional. Run, don't walk, to any other tax preparer.

If you want an accountant who actually cares, hire Kellie. I have been yanked around by accountants many times over the years who were irresponsible and did not care about my business. I am now getting the service I need. Kellie is extremely attentive and adaptive to my really complicated business structure. Kellie not only cares about her work, you can tell she enjoys it. A total waste of time…read more.. I dropped my tax paperwork off at this establishment on March 1, 2022. By this writing on April 5 they have yet to return any of the three phone messages that I left with the receptionist or the two voicemails. I gave them one more try to call me back by the end of the day or I would be taking my business elsewhere.... and still no response. I made sure that they had my contact information correct as well. The poor receptionist seems to be stuck in the middle. Suddenly when I went to retrieve my paperwork to start searching for a new tax accountant, they indicated they had questions and needed more information.
