This was a mid theater. I'm so used to reclining chair and food trays! This theater didn't not offer any of those luxury items. The chairs should be classified as rocking chairs and not reclining. This is not against the cinema AT ALL it was clean, good seats and good quality movie. My review is the trash customers that sat behind me at July 31 11:10 showing of Spider-Man. They talked through the whole movie doing some kind of mocking the movie act and then half way through the film they started shooting homophobia slurs at others. Yesterday we went to the movies (Blackstone Mall) to see the most over-rated and boring movie of 2026: "Odyssey" with Matt Damon. My husband said afterwards that we won't get those 3 wasted hours back and he is right. I wrote a 1 star review for the imdb and am amazed that the imdb gave this crap 8,5 stars (more than 3.000 glowing reviews). The American movie taste reached an all-time low. Hollywood produces less and less interesting movies. It's all about violence and explosions and noise. I put foam ear plugs in my ears which didn't dampen the noisy film, I ended up putting my fingers on my ears to not destroy my hearing. I complained after "Oppenheimer", "Indiana Jones 5" and the last James Bond movie at the movie theater management in the Blackstone Mall that they play their movies way too loud. They just shrugged their shoulders and blamed it on the distributors who supposedly force them to play movies in such a high decibel. :( :( :( - We used to love to go to the movies, but it's getting harder and harder to catch a good film these days. read more

Expensive, I will start with for a family of three it will run you about 100 for tickets and concessions. Ticket prices are about 15 each for adults and 11 for kids. Pre-election of seats and buying online is preferred. Parking is an absolute nightmare and a lot of peak days and times they are completely full and you should go up to the retail shopping area and walk down. Popcorn is good, well staffed, facility is clean and viewing is good. Leg room on the seats isn't great if you are taller. read more

As theaters go, this one is okay. The seating situation has greatly improved since was last here years ago. By that, the movie chairs were spacious and had cupholders on two dedicated armrests. This is a sensible improvement since the short time between theatrical and digital release means that the experience needs to be better than what people can get at home. This would have been a four-star review, but the sound was way off. Sitting in the middle of Row G in theater 14, the side audio overpowered the front speakers which made the dialog a little harder to suss out, and it was probably around 5db too loud for my taste. It probably should be recalibrated. In any event, there is still something magical about seeing something on the big screen. Remember what COVID took from us. read more

Very open and comfortable place with a great selection of movies and snacks. Very accessible to all, including wheelchair users, and people with hearing or seeing disabilities. I loved the experience! I went to see Moana 2 and it was a good experience. The reclining chairs were super comfortable, the popcorn/food I had was pretty good, and the drinks were great! I feel like the whole movie theater itself is really comfortable and big. I like how outside the theater were these seating areas. The screen was big enough and the theater itself is also big enough. The only thing that was kind of bothering me a tiny bit was the wall in front of the seats, and I totally understand why they would add a wall, but I did have to sit and get up a few times to see what was happening but maybe it's just a me problem! Best choice in the area. Seats are fairly comfortable and rarely too busy. Theaters are in relatively good condition. They offer a modicum of food choices, at very high prices, which is typical of the industry. Tickets as of this writing are $14, and $11 for seniors and children. They offer discounts on Tuesday's and for matinees. Take the escalators (when they work) upstairs and you can walk to the Shoppes at Blackstone, which include several restaurants, numerous stores, and big box stores across the street. read more

I went to see Moana 2 with my family for thanksgiving. The movie itself was amazing, it was a completely sold out theater! With it being sold out and management able to know ahead of time how many people were going to be there for this movie (wicked which is also a big hit). We bought our tickets ahead of time and stood in line to get our drinks and snacks. It was a good $300 night. As we were waiting to get lids for our drinks a young worker girl with a blonde ponytail was putting out the lids. Instead of saying excuse me she came out screaming at everyone saying "it would be easier to do my job if you all just moved the hell out of my way" and things such as telling my mother to "shut up" after she was defending this worker to the crowd. A man had wanted to help out with the chaos and had grabbed a stack of cup lids to hand out to the surrounding children, the worker had then came back to the cart and continued to scream while ripping the cups out of his hand and shoving them back into the cart. Now I understand she may have been overwhelmed but I also have worked in retail for about 6-7 years. Even when people are rude or hectic you NEVER EVER scream and talk down to people while you are at work. especially to a bunch of really young children. On top of that if you know it is the day before thanksgiving and this is the premier of a brand new very popular movie, and you can see that it's sold out ahead of time maybe get better management and hire/train people that can handle working nicely with people. read more

Movie place was a good place to visit, clean and a lot of options for snacks. But the food they had in the corner was the worst, I didn't expect them to microwave everything. Those sliders tasted freezer burned and my spicy chicken patty was just a Tyson's freezer patty doused in some hot sauce. This review is for the X-Plus theatre, which I think we should all be enjoying the luxury of. While this theatre boasts that Lux Level tickets are 21+ and include reserved seating, in-seat food and beverage service....I've yet to experience that. Maybe I'm going at the wrong times but the idea is very similar to that of the Chestnut Hill theatre (that one has waitstaff and a tiny button on your chair to call them over when you're ready). But I digress. I feel like this movie theatre was way better when it was first built. I felt like there was more to do somehow? Now they just have a messy luxe lounge area and random seating for patrons who aren't in a movie. I think they should also expand their munchies menu for those of us who are lactose intolerant or have gluten allergies, just sayin :-) The staff are pretty cool and the bathrooms are ALRIGHT. Like I said, just get tickets for X-Plus and call it a day. You won't be disappointed. Your pockets might be, but the experience will be worth it....You're welcome! read more

It's a nice theater! Better than a lot of them but nothing over the top. Prices are OK, food was fair. Unfortunately for us the food took a very long time to prepare and wasn't prepared as ordered. This is my go-to place for watching movies in New England. I am willing to drive about two hours to watch a movie in their Dolby Atmos Theater - Xplus. It is an immersive experience. I love it. Picture and sound quality are top notch in the Xplus auditorium. The seating is very comfortable, almost too comfortable for me, I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat :) The seats recline in this auditorium and they are big comfy recliners with cup holders. The seats are nice and roomy so it doesn't feel like you are smushed against the person next to you. The staff at this location are very pleasant and welcoming. Even as busy as they get, they are able to muster a smile and greeting and they even attempt to upsell (which I know is part of their job requirement so I don't mind.) The food has always been fresh tasting. Nothing has tasted stale or overcooked or burnt. We have tried the popcorn (of course) and hotdogs and fries and candy....and...well, you get the point. I have tried almost everything. The prices are definitely not cheap, but I understand this is how movie theaters make most of their money. For convenience and a little treat, I don't mind spending more. Important note: I have NEVER smelled burnt popcorn at this location and I credit the staff and management for this feat! Burnt popcorn could cause me to never to return to a theater, which has happened at other movie theater chains. The theaters seem to be clean, swept and not sticky. :) The restrooms I have found to be clean as well - and EASY to find. Don't have to wander too far from the Maine lobby or halls to get to one. There is a dedicated parking lot, immediately to your left as you drive up the driveway to Shoppes at Blackstone, but there is also a shared parking lot just past the first driveway on the left. It is MUCH more hectic in the upper lot. I NEVER park there, unless I am doing some shopping or eating, before/after the show. The Shoppes plaza can get a little nutty during holiday shopping days and also on the weekends, but management plans well for these times with traffic detail to allow for people to come and go from the driveway and parking areas. I am a fan and would highly recommend this location to catch a show...especially in the Xplus auditorium. read more

The bf and I came here since we were traveling to the area for work/pleasure. The Theater itself is great in terms of tons of parking, large space inside and friendly folks at all counters. Where I had an issue: The fact that they serve popcorn that is at least two days old. WTH?!?!? When walking into the building, one thing immediately stood out. Where was that glorious buttery popcorn smell that always drew me in to seeing movies? I noticed that the air smelt like pizza instead (which they serve at another counter). When I approached the counter I noticed that all of the popcorn was already neatly sitting in the popper and it was not turned on. When I asked the young man behind the counter when the popcorn had been popped he had to check and he came back advising that it was popped, "two evenings ago before today". Ewwwwwwww!!!! I didn't even know an establishment could serve you food that was THAT old. Needless to say, we skipped the popcorn for that movie and made our way to our tiny little theater to watch the film. Another point to make is that the inside of the one theater looked like a failed attempt at stadium style seating. There was a small section that had elevated seats and then a whole different half in the front that was super flat. Very strange and potentially annoying if you are stuck in those seats! Given that this is a newer center and has a ton of other shopping going on, they need to step their game up. In a world where even the smallest of theaters can have customized seating, waiters and full dinner/bar menu's, they are a little behind on things. read more

When we go out to see first run movies, this is our first choice. The theaters are always clean, as are the bathrooms. The stadium seat are quite comfortable. in addition to the usual movie theater candy, you can make this a destination stop and have a meal. Choose between pizza or Nathan's Hot Dogs. For dessert they offer Ben & Jerry's. Or if you prefer, they have Chatter's Bar and Grill. We noticed it on our visit today for the first time. We had already eaten so we just took a peek at the menu and the prices seemed reasonable. We may give them a try on our next "date night." I'm deducting a star for today's visit though. They had the foresight to rope off part of the hallway for one of the first run movies but had no one in the area to keep an eye on thing. People were still on both sides of the rope clogging the hallway making it nearly impossible for people wishing to make their way to one of the other theaters. All in all, we still enjoyed our visit today and will continue to frequent this establishment. read more

I can't stand this theater. It's a giant ripoff. They always give me a hard time about my military ID and whether it's valid enough for them. Honestly, it's not like the theater is by a military base and they lose a lot of money due to this discount, they probably do less than 5 military discounts per day and they are absolute nazi's about it... Don't offer the discount if you want to give people a hard time about it.... and let people bring in a fukn cup of coffee. You charge 5 god damn dollars for a cup of reheated Starbucks coffee. read more

It's ok, ya know? It's our area cinema so....I'll take it! LINES aren't ever really bad. I've purchased in-line and on-line, both were smooth and without trouble. We reserved tickets for Star Wars Rogue One and didn't have any problem with parking, entry, or seating (everything moved along quite smoothly). MOVIE MUNCHIES are ....pretty great. Your usual popcorn and candy, but also pretzel bites, cinnamon dough bits, Starbucks (coffee/tea/cocoa), Ben & Jerry's (ice cream ....FRAPPES!), and Famous Famiglia pizza. There's also a bar before you head into the theater, but you can't bring it beyond the lobby so best leave your beer helmet at home :) SEATS are a nice size, nice padding, and allow for rocking motion....I think that these were the original 'nice seats' before they came out with X-Plus. But only one of their theaters (currently) has this feature so your chances of seeing the film you want to see at the time you want to see it while also seated in these insanely comfortable leather recliners are slim. GENERAL cleanliness and staff friendliness points (thanks for your hard work, folks!). read more

I've always had a medicore experience here. Concessions are slightly overpriced and the lines are out the door. We typically purchase food at the theater and have to come an hour early to make sure we don't miss our movie. Attendants are very rude and there was a time when my 9 year old was lost and unable to get assistance from the attendant. She was left crying after using the restrooms and forced to miss a greater part of the movie as the attendant wouldn't allow her back in. I went searching to find her standing scared in tears. Not the best experience. I can't say I'd return here again. Oh and they ask for ID when using your debit card....strange. They never allow me to use my husband's card. Lol read more

Came to see a movie " insidious 2" The theatre was not well kept when we arrived. The mens room had towels and puddles all over the floor near theatre 1. When trying to get a lemonade in bottle just offered a dixie cup sized cup of ice Barely enough to keep a few drops cold. When asked the Manager on duty Friday September 13th 2013 stated if i wanted ice in a cup to" bring my own cup/drink". I truthfully cant believe a manager would state this to me after we dished out $14.00 bucks a pop. The service of the employees is good, but when they make a mistake on your tickets or if you need to talk to someone in charge of parties and gatherings and such, god help you. Ok, so the area was in need of its own theater, driving to Bellingham and Worcester was getting old. Sure it has 14 screens, the nice leather seats in the "de Lux" ones and looks new. Great sound as well. But save your self a ton of aggravation and stay away on Friday and Saturday nights. The parents of Blackstone Valley drop the kids off here, mini vans and all. It ruins the atmosphere of enjoying a movie. Its hard to do with all the tweens running around yelling, and then during the movie using the damn cell phones to tell all their friends they cant get their older brother to buy them booze. Any other time of the week its actually not bad, never too crowded and you can enjoy the movie. The kids also take over the entire Millbury plaza. So just stay away...enough ranting. As far a a movie theater goes, its nice and aside from the normally crazy prices, you can sit and enjoy yourself. Just not on Friday or Saturday. read more

Nice movie theater, all of the halls have comfortable stadium seating. Usually pretty clean. Typical overpriced movie concessions. They also offer overpriced coffee, ice-cream and pizza ($6 for two small coffees). One complaint, which I suppose would only be concerning to some, is that the handicapped access doors never seem to be working. It isn't a huge challenge to find another human being to hold open the door, but it's the principle of the thing. I would rather they didn't have buttons at all than buttons that don't work. They also run out of handicapped parking spaces very quickly, which suggests 1) they need more accessible parking and 2) I'm not the only one who wishes those doors worked. FYI this theater offers some shows in the Director's Hall, which will cost you a little extra in exchange for leather seating and servers. If you search for showtimes online, you often can't tell which times are regular seating and which are Director's Hall. I recommend using the National Amusements website to avoid confusion when you arrive. read more

My girlfriend and I go to this theater quite frequently, and it is a pretty nice theater. The seats are comfortable, and everything is reasonably clean. Bathroom cleanliness varies obviously (except for the one time when the bathroom full of little kids that went in before me had terrible aim. I think they urinated on everything EXCEPT where it is supposed to go...), but for the most part it is pretty clean. Price wise it does seem a little bit more expensive than other theaters I have been to, and the concession prices are insane ($15.50 for two small drinks, and a small popcorn). Typically we do not get concessions when we go because of the high price, but once in a while we just want some popcorn. We have a very hard time justifying the price though. Other than that it is a nice theater. There is a Ben & Jerry's inside, a pizza place, and an entire restaurant as well. This cinema was recently bought out by Showcase, so all the signage for the location of which theater number is which are all taken down right now, so if you forget where the ticket guy told you your theater was, you wander the halls looking for the right location. That is only temporary until they get the signs with the correct branding though. read more

This is my go to theatre. I've seen countless movies here with my best friend and some other kid occasionally The only slight downsides are it gets very busy sometimes (which is expected if it really as good as I say it is). And occasionally the popcorn is not as good as one would hope. read more

I like Blackstone Valley because usually they always have the movie I'm looking for, the seats are reasonably comfortable (I do however like Showcase Cinema seats better), they have a decent food court, and the bathrooms and the entire establishment is clean and well maintained. It's also really nice how they have a small mall upstairs. The only thing I wish they could change is the fact that they serve Pepsi products rather than Coca-Cola products. This is not at all a real issue for me. I just simply will get a water instead. But it certainly would be nicer if they did offer my soda of choice. However, considering that my ego is not as large as most American stomachs, I understand that the world does not revolve around me. read more
