Was trying to book with the owner he said "fuck off" the most unprofessional place, do not work with them...

So I went in to set up appt and tell them what I was looking for....the only 1 in there didn't seem to give to shits about what I was asken and was very short and rude with me.....I have 11 tattoos and all from there....Jim is the best but was not there to make appt with.....I will continue to look for a place that is clean well lite and wants my business!!! Damn shame that after 23 yrs of goen here I'm now looking for a BETTER spot!!! read more

I've gotten two tattoos here, both done by Jes. Both were hurried, drawn up last minute (despite ample advance notice), and the quality really sucks. The lines are different depths, uneven, and the drawings were literally something I felt could have been copied out of a coloring book. Every other time I've been in there, with friends and such, the other artists were quite rude, particularly Jon. I stood at the front desk for about ten minutes without a mere acknowledgement. I decided to pass, and drive to a bigger city, and pay more, for quality service and art work. read more

My mom called today to get a price and told them she wanted a infinity symbol with two hearts and was told they shy away from doing infinity symbols because they are over done. This is my moms first tattoo and was very upset they turned her down. Shes the type of person who keeps coming back if she likes what you do. They lost out on alot of business today with her and ne i will not be going there to get my tattoo either. read more

I've had several tattoos here, by Jim. I'm really happy with everything I've gotten. Most of what he's done on me are custom pieces, drawn by him with a little input from me. He's nailed it every time. If you're getting tattooed anywhere in Point, Rapids, Marshfield, Wausau, or the like, there's no where else I'd recommend. I'm very heavily tattooed, and have been tattooed all over the Midwest and beyond. Trust my experience on this, go see Jim, Jon, Nate, or Mike; you won't be disappointed with what you end up with. read more

Fantastic! This is not the place to go for a tattoo that everyone has...these guys don't use "flash" everything is drawn and created by the artists..comfortable and clean Mike does awesome job. Couldn't be happier. read more

Rude. For some reason these people don't see you as a customer and they are a business, but your are peasants that's are lucky to be around them.... Their egos here are horrid. Worst customer service I have ever seen and I think since Jes has left there is little talent left in this shop. read more

they may not enjoy giving a stupid/mindless yin yang or Chinese infinity symbol, but if you want actual art and want something skillfully done this is your place. If you don't go to Blackwater or Rib Mt you shouldn't even get it done in this town. read more

Jim is the best! More than once he's taken a poorly done tattoo that I've hated for years and turned it into something I'm really happy with. He's also done several new tattoos that have turned out great. I've been getting tattooed for 15 years by artists as far away as Long Beach and Austin, and if I'm getting tattooed locally I'm not going to anyone else. read more

Went in there to get information, and the guy with gauges was very rude. Asked a simple question, and he had a snotty answer. Would rather drive to go somewhere else. read more

My wife and I went in to get her a nose piercing after finding them on the internet. After the ZERO behind the counter was annoyed of our presence long enough to ask what we wanted. We said we would like a piercing. He says "we don't do piercings" told him their website says Blackwater tatoo AND Body Piercing and he just stared stupidly. Asked if he could recommend somewhere else and he said he doesn't get out much. Total mindless idiot. Wouldn't go there ever again. read more

Jon LaFave is a complete jerk, and the other guys don't seem much better. I went to Blackwater to make an appointment to get some work done by Jon. In the nastiest, rudest tone possible, he said, "Not to sound rude, but don't wear patchouli the next time you come in here." He then proceeded to tell me that he would have a headache for the rest of the day and the other guys would too. The best part...I wasn't even wearing any patchouli. I left without saying a word, and no one said a word to me. I hope the headache I caused him was agonizing. I have never been treated so poorly by someone I was trying to give my money to. I will NEVER go to or recommend Blackwater Tattoo. read more

Artist, LOL... NO, as someone else had commented, drawings out of a coloring book! No imagination, not willing to assist, no talent, bedside manner is horrid and far overpriced, they couldn't pay me to give me another tattoo! Stay away! read more
