I have gone here off and on over the last several years. I have tried different stylists, too. I…read morethink Ryan is fantastic and I would recommend him. Him only. I recently went and was given a one color treatment with a haircut. I do have longer hair, so I know it may be a pain to color. No highlights, just a color. When she put the color on, she painted half my forehead and temples and I had to wipe it off. She seemed to not notice the hair color on half of my face as well as my hair. That is such a pet peave of mine. The color looks great; the hair cut is fine. I do love the setting of the old renovated house; however, I could hear all the mundane employee conversations from their break room as it drifted up the stairs to our area. No one said anything bad, but I don't think you want to gossip about anything if the acoustics are sensitive in your building like that. Or maybe shut the door to your breakroom. Here is the problem. I went to pay and was charged $97. I tipped her 15% even though my forehead was stained brown as well as my hair. I left the salon, only to get a phone call 15 minutes later from the receptionist saying she had made a mistake on my bill. I was thinking, that's fun - it was cheaper!?!??! Oh no. They UNDERCHARGED ME. It was really $112. So can I give them my credit card number or stop by and pay more money? Are you kidding me? I thought it was a joke. I am not a customer who doesn't help out service people, and I didn't want her shorted a tip. Even though she had put dye on my face, it truly wasn't the end of the world. But the receptionist who rang me up incorrectly - you called ME to tell me to come fix YOUR problem? It's not like I just paid you $40 for a $112 service. I thought long and hard about it. My husband and I were business owners - what if the owner didn't know, how can they fix it if they don't know, etc. I figured, you know what? It isn't about the money, it's the way it was handled. I feel that was unprofessional to turn around and approach me about their mistake. I came back the next day with $20. I asked to speak to the owner. I told her I had a problem with the phone call I received. I wanted her to have the benefit of the doubt just in case her employee did something that she was unaware of. Oh no. She proceeded to tell me SHE told the receptionist to call me and tell me the error. She then wanted me to look at the receipt to see why the error was made. I am not your employee - that's YOUR problem why it was screwed up. NOT MINE. I will pay the money - but do you understand my problem is with your poor handling of service, and has NOTHING to do with the money. She then wanted me to see how not only did the receptionist mess up the bill, but she felt the stylist hadn't entered the info correctly. "I have been getting on these girls on how to fill out a slip properly." Again. This is not my problem, it is yours. If you undercharged for a service, by $15, really - you'd rather lose all of my business, and anyone I can tell, as opposed to sucking it up and realizing it was YOUR service mistake, and not mine. I think this was one of the most ludicrous business decisions I have seen. You would rather get me to give you $15 as opposed to "making it right." It isn't about the money. It's $15 for cripe's sake. But thank God you called me to tell me about how I need to fix your issue. I would NEVER go there ever again.

I received a call 4 hours before my scheduled appointment time telling me that she had quoted me the wrong price. If I wanted to keep the appointment, they were going to charge me a different price than what she consulted and quoted me for; double! A couple months ago we took a client who is autistic to Fantastic Sam's for a haircut, and she did…read morean awful job. Unfortunately, we did not catch her name at that time. Today we decided to take the same client back in for a haircut and chose a stylist online. I left a note saying we had a terrible experience last visit but want to give them another chance. I let them know ahead of time that the client was autistic and that he needed a haircut. Unfortunately, when we came in today it was the same stylist as last time. The other stylist was already cutting someone else's hair, and she was the only one available. W gave it another shot anyways... what a mistake that was. She left an entire chunk of hair by his right ear, and it is very uneven. I wish I could share a photo of how awful it looks. I called to speak with a manager but was told she is out of town. I gave my info and said why I was calling. The stylist (Tawny) then said "Oh, that was me" I expressed that I was not satisfied with what she did to his hair, and it needed to be fixed. She said she was sorry but being that he was autistic and kept turning his head it made her job difficult. We have taken this client here SEVERAL times in the past and every stylist was so great with him and did a fantastic job. Tawny states she has been doing hair for 40 years but with 2 bad haircuts I'm not so sure if this is true. You would think in 40 years, she would have had other clients come in with a disability...The least she could have done was ask the other stylist for help or offer for us to come back and fix the spots she missed. I would also like to add that we told her that the stylists use a clipper on him. Instead of her listening to us, she chose to use a scissors on his ENTIRE head. (For those of you that understand autism, it's very difficult to keep them sitting in a chair for a long period of time. Patience is very thin.) When I brought this up to her on the phone, she said no one mentioned anything about a clipper. (I was not going to argue with her at this point because in her eyes, she did no wrong and had an excuse for everything) She said she would be giving the message to her manager, I said thank you, I then heard her set the phone down and say something snotty to I'm assuming the other stylist and then hung up the phone. Nothing like being polite when hanging up. Very poor customer service. I can see why she had a full open schedule online when I went to book yesterday. Please save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else or book with anyone but Tawny. I'm not so sure she will actually give the message to the manager so I will be calling back until I reach the manager. We should not be getting charged for this awful service.
