The day of the ceremony, he helped us add structure to our pre-ceremony process by nailing down clear portrait timelines for each of us. I adore these photos, but as his third birthday approached, my heart was searching for something different. He's not a "sit and smile" kinda boy. He's wild and colorful.. a rainbow that injects creativity into my life. His personality is hard to put into words, but I can SEE it, and I wanted someone to capture *that*. Kelly was the photographer who captured his rainbow blur. Before she arrived, she already had a vision in her head.. a couple of times, I heard her talking through the ideas she had thoughtfully written down. I'm curious as to when those ideas entered her mind.. I dunno! But that's the beauty.. she's clearly inspired by her own lens and life, and she injects that perspective into her fine art photo sessions. She has a plan and a vision, and you just know you're in the hand of an artist. During the session, my son would not sit still. But that's ok, there wasn't any pressure for him to do so.
