Kyle far exceeded my husband's and my expectations in wedding photography! We were looking for a photographer who we could trust would provide us with a quality experience and photographs, but that would also let us feel like ourselves throughout our wedding day and wedding planning. We found Kyle from a combination of Yelp reviews and experience from one of my bridesmaids (who also had Kyle as a photographer!) From the first meeting when we were learning more about Kyle's photography, we were blown away by his professionalism and the level of care and detail that he expressed when discussing his work. We opted to include a second photographer as well, Kyle included his associate Kai. Our decision to include a second photographer and to opt for a decent amount of hours was one of the best decisions we made in planning and really made our wedding day ours - we did not feel rushed by the timeline whatsoever, and were able to enjoy the day exactly as we had planned, with the photography there to complement and capture the day. Leading up to the wedding, Kyle was instrumental in creating the perfect photography timeline for us. On the day of, Kyle and Kai seriously made our wedding even more amazing than it already was. Kyle is a seriously talented photographer. The pictures here on Yelp don't do his skills justice (photos are too small). If you are even slightly considering hiring him as your photographer, check out his website. Those pictures are what sealed the deal for us. We liked how he maintained a perfect balance of both realistic and artistic style - exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. And we're happy to say that's exactly what we got from him! We hired Kyle for both our engagement session and wedding (plus assistant) and both events produced such wonderful photos - pictures and styles we've never had of us! He and his assistant captured so many moments that we missed throughout the day. Not to mention, he took pictures of everything I had requested beforehand (even the little details I forgot about the day of). My only photography regret is not giving him enough time on our wedding day to take even more pictures of our guests. We were at least 30min late in taking pictures (totally our fault) which is really a huge chunk of prime pre-ceremony photography time. So give yourself enough buffer folks! We contacted Kyle after a minor disaster with our previous engagement pictures with another photographer (They were lost from the memory card). We were hesitant going in because our previous experience had been tough, but Kyle handled it wonderfully. He explained that he used two memory cards so that they backed up each other and that he had never lost any photos. Kyle was also able to get us the photos very quickly so we could use them on our wedding website and send out the Save-the-Dates just in time. We met out at Sauvie Island and Kyle spent the afternoon taking pictures in many different locations all over the island. He even went out a day before and scouted out locations for pictures. What a guy! The pictures are amazing! They are artsy, but still classic. They are fun, but still romantic. They are truly beautiful and something we will always treasure.
