This is a great family run shop. Honest not out to take your money and leave you hanging when stuff happens. I brought my Kia in for some work and on the way home something happened like always with these newer cars. They didn't lay blame or try to stick me with another huge bill they just wanted it to be right. They actually paid for part and labor on a sensor that failed right after a different repair. And stayed late on a Friday to do the repair. I have never had a shop do this it's always sorry bust out another thousand. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Never again, you've lost my trust. I brought my car in for a free safety inspection since I just bought the 2012 Toyota. Marty told me it needed a master cylinder for a $1,000 repair and probably an ABS module for another $1,000 repair since the brakes were spongy. He would have to change the master cylinder before he'd know about the ABS unit. What a load of nonsense. I've worked in the collision industry my whole life and know how a car operates. There are multiple ways to diagnose an ABS unit. it would also need $120 wiring work and the differential is seeping fluid but didn't offer a quote to repair that. They changed the one thing it needed, a wheel bearing, but installed a non OEM part without discussing it with me first. Marty called and said it was ready to pick up, but when I went to get it, it wasn't there! He walked around the car park a couple of times, even though I told him it wasn't there. Said "well all cars look alike". (My Toyota looks different than say, an F150). It turns out they'd picked up the wrong car at the alignment place and kept me waiting for 30 minutes while they went to retrieve it without a word of apology. He blamed it on "being a Monday". Wow! What does a Friday bring? The receptionist was very nice and Dustin seemed like a good guy, but the level of professionalism was low and the Diagnosis was a potential money grab. I chose to take the car elsewhere, so the whole experience was quite awful. I ended up having it diagnosed at Toyota, they checked the brakes and laughed at the master cylinder / ABS diagnosis. The only thing wrong with the brakes was the master cylinder was slightly overfilled so I removed some fluid. The brakes are working fine. As mentioned before, never again! read more

Have used this firm 4years now and have never been disappointed. They are professional, prompt and have never been overpriced. I have had some major (brake replaced on on 4 disc wheel), replace timing belt on 6 cylinder engine, and minor jobs like oil changes, battery replacement and headlight bulb replacement. They are always friendly and point out other maintenance issues I could do to keep my Honda Focus running. Now has 160,000 miles on it. Give them a call and, you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm a bit particular about mechanics as I'm a young woman who has dealt with a lot of mechanics screwing me over when they don't know I spent years working in a shop. I pay attention to everything from the waiting room layout to prices and services. I loved my experience at Blairs Ferry Automotive. Their prices were more than fair. I got a tire rotation and oil change on Groupon, and while I was in, they pointed out the old lug nuts and bald tire (a previous mechanic had charged me for two tires, but only replaced one.) They never spoke down to me and gave me a good price on a new tire. They were quick, responsive, and at the end pointed out a few other things that could easily be fixed. When I told them to go ahead and do it, they let me know cheaper and easier ways to fix the parts if I didn't want to go with them replacing them. Additionally, the waiting room was clean and well-stocked. A majority of the clients I saw while there were women, and each were given the same type of treatment. I often leave a shop knowing I won't be back, but this time I left certain I'd recommend this place to others. read more

Extremely fast, honest service, and they were really nice to boot! My truck broke down while moving across the country, I was having trouble with my serpentine belt. The tow driver barely had it off the tow truck and they had it all fixed up! I could hardly believe it, but it started right up and there weren't any issues. Thanks to them I was able to get back on schedule and arrive in my new home city exactly when I was planning on. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I wouldn't even give this place one star, they said my car needed a whole new transmission after I just spent $3,000 to get another one. They unplugged all spark plugs so my car wouldn't even start when I tried taking it home, got it towed and had a second opinion and it was just the battery and a new belt. They wanted me to spend $2,000 more to get it fixed when I got my car fixed for $300 at another place. read more

I've never left a Yelp review before, but I felt compelled to write one here. My brakes started making a noise and I knew I had to take my car Somewhere but I've had bad experiences with mechanics before. I went here after a referral from a friend. I called at 4:30 on a Tuesday and Marty had me bring my car in right away even though they close at 5:30. He called the parts store right in front of me and ordered the "worst case scenario" parts and gave me a quote and price right away. The next day he called me to update the time frame and called me again to let me know the final price and when to come get it. It ended up being about $300 cheaper than he originally quoted and it was done very quickly! I couldn't have had a better experience. read more
