Crowns look great, but what's underneath doesn't…read more After their initial root canal and crown (done wrong), I ended up with a year-long infection that eventually required an apicoectomy and then a full root canal redo by an endodontist -- who was shocked they had let it go so long (more than a year) and hadn't caught, on imaging, that the entire root canal seal had failed and was leaking. Right after the crowns were placed more than a year ago, I called them in urgent pain -- but they didn't answer for a full week because of "phone issues." In desperation, I went to a 24/7 dentist who misdiagnosed me. When they finally answered the next day, I went back because they knew my case and I didn't want to risk losing my new crowns. They loaded me with antibiotics, did the apicoectomy, and gave me a free bottle of "fairy dust" mouthwash, assuring me that time would help. It didn't. They could have caught this much earlier with proper imaging like an MRI and a timely referral to an endodontist. Instead, it was delay after delay, unnecessary procedures, and more pain than I should have endured. I will not be returning. I paid a lot of money for a nice crown with a hole in it.

After doing research on YouTube, I've discovered that I'd like to go with dentures for 3 reasons: 1) It's a non-invasive solution to fill in my missing teeth, without grinding down my existing healthy teeth. 2) Cavities can form underneath caps, which may result in a loss of the tooth. 3) Price.

I also asked how often children gets panoramic x-ray the doctor said about every 5 years ( assistant said every 3 to 5 years) then I asked if they had requested dental records to see last time it was done since my children are new to them( their first visit) they said NO! this is so unacceptable! what if the other dentist got this done recently; Bluffdale dental did not care enough to know this information to protect my children against unnecessary radiation exposure which can be harmful to their health. Not a sincere apology or any effort to understand the client's point of view. I am devastated. As far as the visit went my children were very impressed with how well the staff treated them.

After hearing many horror stories about getting dental work done in Mexico and experiencing poor communication with my dentist in Mexico, who came highly rated, I decided it was worth the cost to have it done at home. That way I could have open communication throughout the entire process, and that is exactly what I got, to say the least. From day one I was taken such good care of by the office manager, Dr. Locke, and the ceramist, Jessica Love. Both Jessica and Dr. Locke are perfectionists, and that's exactly what you want when you are getting a new smile! I loved their attention to detail. I knew I wanted my smile to look natural, and they delivered. The whole experience was so comfortable for me. It's such a unique thing to have the ceramist right there in house to make real-time adjustments and assessments, rather than waiting to send out to a lab. I was able to help design my teeth with Jessica exactly how I wanted them, and I love them so much! At each appointment I was met with a weighted blanket, exfoliating lip treatments (and good music!), which I think were just nice little touches that added up to make the overall experience very calming, luxurious and positive for me. This is saying a lot, because I typically have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Locke is the best at administering the numbing shot, better than any other dentist I've ever been to. I grind my teeth. I usually just get sealants every few years and it's fine. This place convinced…read moreme to get a night guard. The dentist said a hard one would be best so my teeth don't move since I wouldn't be able to wear a retainer with it. I paid for it. He said it was risk free bc if I didn't like it I could try something else. Well, it was extremely painful. I thought maybe I just needed to get used to it. I couldn't sleep bc it hurt so bad. I tried wearing it for an hour during the day and over time I got acclimated but then had insane rebound pain when I took it off. I went back to complain and the dentist said there's no way they made any mistakes with it and it must be my fault. Maybe my teeth moved because my retainer isn't in good condition. I asked if my teeth could really move that much in 2 weeks. He admitted that no, they couldn't. He seemed upset but finally allowed me to get a soft night guard. Turns out in my sleep I think a soft night guard is chewing gum! I woke up so sore I couldn't eat solid food that day. Did I go back and tell them? Heck no! I don't need to not be believed another time. Good for them, they got to keep my money. Definitely never going back.
