That is unheard of the industry. Most are 60 minutes, with 90 being the max if you are lucky. Most others are also on a tight schedule and clock watch. Laurie does not. She schedules clients far enough apart that you get the full time and maybe even a little extra if you have a real problem area to address. Her sessions are long because she uses a variety of modalities and incorporates a lot of Thai yoga stretching into her work for your whole body with emphasis on any trouble areas you discuss or are discovered during the session. Laurie also places emphasis on the whole being. She wants to get to know her clients and sooth your mind as well as your body. I have been going for massage therapy for 35 years. I have never found anyone better. Even at fancy spas, I am so spoiled now that I always am left wanting more. I think 60 minutes is too short and most therapists lose interest before the rare 90 minute session is over. Laurie is different. Luckily she had a slot in her schedule and fit me in same day. She is easy to talk to. Not too woo-woo. Down to earth, understands basic health and medicine that other massage therapists are sometimes clueless to. She is strong and goes deep without being a bull in a china shop - she is very smooth in her movements. Her office is clean, organized, and had a relaxed vibe. It was quiet too, which I really appreciate as many places I've gone to lately are really loud with thin walls. Plus, I love that it does not have smelly candles or potpourri.
