To start with, the Flowers looked old. I called him and he said that's how they're supposed to look. And that he got them straight from the farm. We spent over $250 for this arrangement. It was a gift from my husband for my birthday. I was also not impressed with how long they lasted and with customer service. RUDE HOSTILE OWNER!! I'm still shakin up and just floored by what just happened to me! I pulled into this florist and was immediately told to leave! I parked in the designating parking space for this florist, and the owner comes flying out telling me to move that I can't park there! I looked around in confusion realizing he was talking to me. I didn't see any sign saying that you can't park there. It actually says to park in that specific space. I old him I only parked there according to the sign. He told me that it's only for the florist... I told him I'm here for the florist.. he said well in that case please come in What?? He didn't even ask to begin with... Just came out raging for me to move. I will find another florist! Completely insane and frankly a very scary experience. read more

Recently had to have flowers delivered to a friend in Florida. Since I am in NY, I relied heavily on the Yelp reviews to pick a local florist there. I decided on this florist and couldn't have been happier. The owner was helpful and polite. He made a beautiful rose bouquet and my friend couldn't have been happier. She sent me a pic, but even she admitted the picture didn't do them justice! The roses were lush, vibrant and most importantly fragrant! So many today have no scent at all. When I needed flowers sent last minute to a funeral in Bal Harbour, Fl, I called Blake Roses. The deceased's daughter called teary eyed exclaiming how beautiful and over the top the flowers were. They used them under the picture of the deceased. I had originally ordered generic flowers from Teleflora but they called last minute to tell me they couldn't deliver on time. Blake Roses saved the day and I ended up with a much better arrangement for the same price. I just told them what colors I liked and how much I wanted to spend and every one of my in-laws were impressed. read more

This is my first yelp review - I hate to complain about places and usually give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but I needed to review this place. DO NOT GO HERE. I live in NY and wanted to send my mom flowers for Mother's Day. I ordered a bouquet for $120 and requested that a couple of peonies be included. I was told i would have to pay $140 if I wanted peonies. (To be clear it was $144 total as they charged $15 for delivery 3 blocks away + tax) After a short discussion they agreed to switch other flowers around to accommodate for the price of peonies. I was told I would be sent a picture of the bouquet before delivery. The flowers arrived at my moms apartment the day before Mother's Day (requested for Mother's Day). No picture was sent to me for confirmation as was discussed. The bouquet consisted of 7 peonies and a small amount of greens. Half the peonies were fully opened, and there were no other flowers included. When I called the business to question the delivery - they mentioned that each peony is $12 - which would mean the bouquet should have been $84. When I mentioned that half the peonies were fully opened, I was yelled at by the owner and told that I don't know anything about flowers and this is what happens when they are put in water. I've ordered peonies many times and this is not normal for fresh flowers. He had no explanation for the $40 extra that I was charged. My mom sent me a picture of the peonies the next day and all of the greenery was wilted. The flowers were all fully opened and looked like they were about to die. Now I know why they were sent a day earlier than requested. This place will steal your money. I have never had a worse experience with a florist or any small business for that matter. Again, do yourselves a favor and do not go here. I would give zero stars if that was an option. read more

We contacted Blake Roses on the day before Mother's Day after our previous order with another company (FTD) when to crap. They were able to complete our order exactly as requested and delivered the next day (Mother's Day), promptly. The ordering process was hectic, but I'm sure that weekend is nuts for Florists. They provided quick resolution to a very annoying problem (which was not even theirs to begin with), and most importantly, my mom was blown away by the arrangement they sent. I review this place four stars because they're extremely overpriced. I came in today to purchase three Paeonias. Prior to coming in I had called several other florist and only a few carried this flower. This place happen to only carry them in white while the others had them in pink. So I figured, I'll get some here and the others in pink elsewhere. When I walked in, I told the staff I was the one that called about the flowers and that I wanted to spend about $30 and if he would be able to make a nice arrangement with that budget. He snickered and said, when you called I thought you were going to buy all my Paeonias. I told him I wanted to get them in variety of colors along with my plan to buy some here and the others at the other spot. So I literally got 3 flowers for $30. Feeling ripped off I figured maybe these are expensive flowers- Well, get this. I'm at the other spot now and they have the same exact flower for $3.50 each while I paid $10 for the same flowers. In white and in pink. They got me this time but will never get my business again in the future. This is life I suppose . read more

I called over a dozen other florists in the area, and practically begged them to make an exception to it being the end of the day and even asked the people I was talking to if they would personally make the delivery after their shift. Nobody was willing to help me, so I just kept calling around. I found Blake Roses and they saved the day! They created a stunning, modern arrangement (no cheap baby breath or traditional/tacky arrangements) and had it delivered to my friend's hotel room that very night. Our daughter were married in Miami in the name of White Street in Sterling . The hall I will speak separately . We booked flower shop named Linda from Black roses. The flowers were unique never seen before such arrangements on the tables , The flowers were all white color combination with flowers , Roses, Tulip, Orchids, The flowers were tall vases and Special Topics nickel , and was also special and scornful rectangular glass were scattered on the tables . The ceremony was beautiful beautifully appointed . The entrance hall was magnificent and full of flowers. I would like to thank Linda from Black roses for the wonderful work you have done for us heartily . I called last week to have Mother's Day flowers delivered. The individual asked how much I wanted to spend and I told him $200. He said he would do something really spactacular for $200. Saturday when I realized that the flowers had not been delivered it was 7pm. I called and the person that answered asked me if he could call me back, I said yes. He never called back. Sunday morning I called Blake Roses and was told that they had tried to deliver but that the drivers GPS would not show my address. Having lived here (about 5 miles from Blake's) for many years, no one has EVER had their GPS not register my address. I suspect that I was lied to. The person then told me that he would have them sent right over as soon as the driver returned. When the flowers were not delivered by 1pm I called back and was told they were out for delivery but that they had 500 deliveries to make and the person hung up on me. The flowers were delivered today at four o'clock. There were two dozen pink roses stuck in a very ugly vase and the roses looked as though they were left overs. To top it off, they charged my credit card $283.00!!!! This was my first and last time using this florist, but my advice is to NEVER, EVER use Blake Roses!!!!! read more
