DeAngela and her team were an answered prayer for me and my family. As a black woman, I was so nervous to have my second child here in WA while my husband was on deployment and no family here. DeAngela came through and reassured me she will be there every step of the way and she did just that. From our first phone call, to the moments leading up to birth, to the long but beautiful birth experience, to the intricate parts of postpartum and beyond, DeAngela was and still is a beacon of light that I lean on for support and encouragement. Whenever I had moments of giving up or becoming overwhelmed, DeAngela and Kirsten were right there to speak life into me and let me know that I'm not in this alone, made sure I had a plan and pulled from resources I didn't realize I already had. It can be hard sometimes to ask for help but these ladies reassured me that it's okay to ask for help. As the saying goes, "It takes a village..." well I consider DeAngela and Kirsten part of my village now and truly grateful God allowed us to cross paths. The work you ladies are doing; the time and energy you pour into your clients are unmatched. You all helped to make a difficult season in my life, one that I am so blessed to experience.
