This was such a delightful find. Driving up to visit a few of my fav vegan spots in B'ham, I…read moredecided to change plans and veer east towards Arlington to finish my morning latte & oatmeal (picked up in Everett prior to) in a chill setting. Located on the main drag, walking up to the storefront, the signage was thoughtful and pleasantly detailed. Venturing inside, the whole feel isn't much to brag about (mostly drab, outdated vibes and inexpensive lighting). There are a few spread out pieces of what appears to be 90's era stock contemporary Frasier-esque artwork along the walls to give credit there. Just really no "pulse" and understandably so during global health crisis. The main reason I wanted to jump on here was for their SELECTION. Oh. My. God. I mean, sure, you could find Lara Protein bars at WF, bulk spices at Central Co-op, natural/organic snacks at PCC, multi-purpose natural new-brand-to-me cleaner at Marlene's Market & Deli, No Cow bars at QFC - that's all definitely cool - BUT for a store of this size, in such a dated space and in this small rural town, the sheer selection of goods is really super impressive & truly admirable! Seriously, I was grinning at times like a kid in a candy store - and this tends to happen more-so when you can realize and appreciate certain things. Some lesser-known unique products that stuck out at a glance were D'vash nectars, Pukka Tea milled blends, numerous brands new to me, etc. I was so happy for this unexpected detour. Plus, they're just some of life's most interesting detours, anyway. My curiosity was livid but I managed a small haul for a No Cow lemon meringue bar, squash/veggie/herb pretzels and GloryBee organic date sugar (I'd no idea approx 1/3 of date sugar volume has fiber - rad!). One thing to note was that many items were "expired". Depending on the ingredients, expired items can be 1 of many things: 1) gross, toss out; 2) still edible but perhaps more bland; 3) still edible and wouldn't know the difference. Ask the online community if you want some expiry guidance or call them. Compared to perishables, shelf-stable product "expiry" limits technically can vary wildly from printed dates so just check & learn about them. One older lady was working between the 2 adjacent spaces. She's really quiet and I didn't seek any help during my perusing but at checkout she seemed rather pleasant with a few questions I had and gave me half-off for the expired items. Get your derriere up/down/over here and check it out for yourself with an open-mind to see where your eyes wander and products you learn about. if driving this far from Seattle/etc is discouraging, then just combine the day trip with other local activities/places to visit/try - make it a field trip! *** This review was written during the local COVID-19 Advisory as businesses were limiting operations. I'm not sure what is wrong with your hospital. My father has been there 4 times since November. Two…read moreof the three visits in January 2026 were absolutely terrible. Your quality of care is like a negative one. How can your physician fail to recognize cellulitis? They told my father that the ailment they failed to determine would "resolve in two weeks". Within 24 hours my father was admitted to Providence for four days, put on IV antibiotics and sent home with an additional twelve days of antibiotics. It's hard to believe he was actually seen by a real physician at Cascade. I guess it was a mad rush to treat and street. Dad's February 1st visit involved registration calling me when they figured out dementia patients can't answer questions. She sent me down to the ER. The person who answered the phone told me my father was in ultrasound and I would receive a call from the doctor when the results came back. After three hours of hearing nothing, I finally called the emergency room again only to find out my father had been discharged without one word to me. As I mentioned previously, my father has dementia. He couldn't tell someone where he'd been let alone what was done or a result. When I spoke to memory care the following day, they told me he was returned without any paperwork and they had no idea what was done while he was at the hospital. So, as my review states, you run an awful hospital with terrible physicians and there are now notes in his paperwork at memory care to send him to any other hospital except Cascade in the event of an emergency. You clowns can't even get billing right. Last year rather than run his bill through insurance correctly (apparently you forgot about the Medicare supplement), you sent the bill to collections. And yes, I spoke to the billing department when I received the initial bill. They were just too lazy to correct his insurance and run the bill again and sent it instead to collections for non-payment rather than mail a bill for the adjusted total.

I visited Arlington Acupuncture to see Dr. Kim, based on the outstanding reviews here, and was…read moresurprised (and a bit taken aback) when I arrived for my first appointment and discovered I was to be seen by a different acupuncturist. As it turns out, that acupuncturist, Stephen Semptimphelter (EAMP, LAc) has recently become the primary practitioner at this location, while Dr. Kim, the owner (who treated me one time and is also fantastic), primarily works at his Seattle office, keeping a few hours each week to tend to his Arlington patients. However unsure I was at the start of that first visit, my concerns were immediately eased. Having had both foot and shoulder surgeries several months before, I'd continued to suffer a frozen big toe joint and ongoing pain in my shoulder due to "guarding." My podiatrist had only days before told me, after several visits with my (exceptional) physical therapist, that it was possible the joint had simply recovered to the extent that it would on its own, and that I would either have to live with it or take any of a number of unattractive options in an attempt to free it, none of them guaranteed to work, nor free of risks to the joint. I was stunned and elated when after a single electroacupuncture treatment by Stephen, flexibility in the joint improved, albeit almost imperceptibly. Six visits later and with a lot of work at home to capitalize on every little bit of increased range of motion, I was able to wear some of my regular shoes for the first time since before surgery, 5 months before. Although he treated my shoulder in various ways at different visits, it was one particular visit when chose a different technique and also utilized cupping that changed the game. Coincidentally or not, things began to change that day, up and down for a couple of weeks, nothing but improvement since. I continued PT, and, just as with my foot, I took advantage of the improvement and advanced in strength and flexibility at home, through yoga, stretching, and gentle, careful use of weights. Now, with PT and intensive acupuncture treatment completed, after a year of acute pain before surgery and months of continued pain afterward (although recovery from the surgery itself was almost non-existent -- I hit the jackpot with an orthopedic surgeon as well), I continue to make gains every day. Just this one decision, to give acupuncture a try at this clinic, made all the difference in the world. Beyond my surgery recoveries, along the way I mentioned my case of mild but chronic (3-month) vertigo, for which he prescribed an herbal supplement that (I am not kidding) knocked it out in just a few days. (Even he expected it to possibly take several weeks.) Coincidence, you say? I thought so, too. But then, after maybe 10 days, I missed taking them for a few days and the vertigo returned. A few days of faithful dosing later, it was gone again. When my supply ran out and it took a few days to get back in to buy more, the same pattern repeated. I've since been able to reduce my dose significantly (from 8 per day to just 2) and remain symptom-free. Finally, during one of my last visits, I mentioned in passing that I was losing sleep due to repeat hot flashes. One treatment and for the first time in at least a couple of weeks, not a single one. I've had them off and on since, and haven't been back in for another treatment, so the jury's still out... but with my overall success with Stephen's treatments and recommendations, it's sure getting hard to be skeptical. :) I'd been a volunteer receptionist at a non-profit acupuncture clinic that predominately served seniors, and I'd seen regular treatments literally change lives. I knew it worked, but it had never done much for *me*. I couldn't have been more amazed by this experience -- by Stephen's expertise and my results. The exterior of the building housing the office is pretty unsightly, but the interior is not, and the office itself is attractive and peaceful. (The treatment rooms are so relaxing it's hard to leave!) Acupuncture -- and Chinese Medicine in general -- can gently and effectively treat a *staggering* array of symptoms and (most importantly) their root causes, and improve overall wellness and quality of life. If you're on the fence and suffering, do this for yourself. You'll likely come away wishing, like I had, that you'd done it much sooner.
