IF they could not come out promptly, they should have been courteous enough when I called for an appointment to be openly truthful about it so that I could contact someone else instead of making me wait three days with no contact when they had no intention of showing up for my repairs. As I'm working at home I hear a BOOM and sounded like air shooting out. Lo and behold he tried to "fix" the ground wire while there was still power going to it. Once the tech came back inside he did not speak a WORD about the boom that just happened outside, just kinda crept past me to walk back out to his truck. Once he walked back into my house I had asked him if the boom was a good or a bad boom... and he responds with "well it was bad, your compressor just exploded. Your gonna need a whole new compressor or a new unit." and shrugged it off. Decided to get a ladder and go up into my attic (to double check he didn't mess something with my heater up) to come back down and tell me that he will have the office do some research on new compressors and units. Before leaving he proceeded to tell me that even though my AC didnt work, I had heat and if he didn't realize we live in GA. I don't need the heat. ‍ after all this the "tech" had left my house and left me with a broken AC and said "hey you have heat!" ... Once I had finally received a call from the office the lady I spoke with she gave me a huge attitude... I had tried explaining that one of their techs just left me without AC (who wouldn't be mad?) but she didn't wanna hear it because the tech had a whole different story for her. Next day, we had opened our breaker door to find the labels for the AC torn off and the breaker for the broken AC was still ON! The "company" wouldnt even help us with THEIR f*ck up they told us to pound some sand and deal with it. Will never EVER call this company for anything again. I typically buy these Caps from a larger supplier in Savannah for a little over $20. And you can find them on the internet for under $15. So when the technician quoted me $45 I was a little shocked. It had been about six months since the last time I purchased one, leaving me unsure of what the current price is. After checking with other suppliers I realized they overcharged me by over +$20. Which is close to double the cost. I understand supply and demand. But this was not peak season. No sense in price gouging a random customer who walks through your door. During the inspection, the thermostat was set to 72 degrees, but the system was reading 66 degrees. The inspector stated that the unit appeared to be stuck in AC mode and advised that it was an ongoing issue, not something that would suddenly occur overnight. The sellers arranged for their HVAC company to come out, and their technician reported that there was nothing wrong with the system. Based on that information, we proceeded with closing. Two days after closing, we noticed the same issue again--the thermostat was set to 74 degrees, but the system was reading 68 degrees. We contacted the same HVAC company. When I called, the receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive. She stated that all technicians were busy and they would come out "whenever they could." I calmly explained that we were home all day and simply needed the system checked due to inaccurate readings. A technician arrived on February 2nd around 1:00 PM and immediately identified the problem: a valve was sticking in AC mode, causing inaccurate temperature readings. The total repair cost was $1,095. This confirmed exactly what our home inspector had originally found. The technician even stated that this was not a new issue and had developed over time. I called the company back to explain that their first technician missed the problem, despite it being clearly identified by both the inspector and their second technician. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the receptionist stated there was no supervisor available. I also addressed her rude behavior from the previous call. She dismissed my concerns, blamed the sellers, and refused to take any accountability--even though the sellers had done their part by hiring this company. When I informed her that this matter may need to be escalated to a lawyer for documentation purposes, I asked for her name. She responded defensively, stated she had worked there for 26 years, and said she "wasn't going anywhere." I clarified that I only needed her name for documentation. She then hung up on me and sent subsequent calls straight to voicemail. This company needs to seriously reevaluate who they place as the first point of contact for customers. The receptionist was unprofessional, rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help resolve an issue that resulted from their own technician failing to properly diagnose the problem. Poor customer service like this reflects badly on the entire company
