The place was much smaller than expected and pretty pricey, but the kids still had a good time. It's definitely geared more toward toddlers, with two small slides, a larger pool for older kids and a surf machine that opened up every other hour for the kids which i was surprised didn't stay open all day, and two play areas for the little ones. For adults, there's a swim-up bar and a hot tub, which were nice touches. We ordered a whole pizza for $18.99 it was pretty good and came out in about 10 minutes. The snack bar offered a good variety of reasonably priced options. Admission felt expensive at $30 per person for ages 3 and up. Since we stayed at the attached hotel, we got a $10 discount, making it $20 per person. Still, for a family, it adds up quickly. The arcade was smaller than it looked online and a bit underwhelming. The games used up a lot of points, and the prize selection was pretty limited. As for the drinks at the swim up bar , we paid $19 for a piña colada and a Marsburst, but they were weak sugary with barely any alcohol.Overall, it's a decent spot for locals looking for a quick day out with young kids. But for families like ours who drove three hours to get there, it didn't quite feel worth the trip. read more

Fun atmosphere, bad security. I went with my mom to a party we were invited to, and we had much fun. The service was nice, kind workers, and also fun themes as well. The pools were great and very interactive and fun. Though, in the hot tub and alcohol bar, there were kids actively jumping in and using it as a swimming pool, with CLEAR signs saying "No children under 18 should enter, even with adult supervision." On top of that, there were parents bringing their babies into the hot tub, which is a SAFTEY RISK! It made myself and my mom very uncomfortable and I complained twice, but really, there was little supervision around the hot tub, so no one could actively watch and supervise who is going in. Other than that issue, I think this is a pretty nice indoor waterpark. Slides and lazy rivers were fun! read more

Both times I've been the experience has been irritating and underwhelming. The commercials fake advertise the number of slides. Overpriced $25 for 3 and up and $13 just to sit! Can't bring your own water in. Pretty pricey for a family to experience. read more

Very OVER-RATED, OVER-HYPED, UNDER-WHELMING, DISSAPOINTING and EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!!! VERY limited window to enjoy the features. Despite having digital proof of tickets, a processing through a line(s) for checking tickets and getting wristband FOR ENTRY, which could have been performed at the door of the water room, for which there were only 2 people servicing, an OVERLY IRRITATING and totally unnecessary WAIT was incurred that further diminished the already short window available by over an hour. The wave feature was not running continuously and was sporadic and LIMITED unnecessarily. Snack Bar prices were on the pricey end for what the fare consisted of, and any kind of outside food, snacks, and drinks are also prohibited. Most inexpensive food item on the menu was a hot dog at a $7 price tag...totally an intended price gouge to the CAPTIVE customer crowd. For a water environment the air conditioning was far cooler inside than it should have been. I was cold throughout my time there, even without participating in any wetting activity (just watching the grandkids). This is one of those OVERLY EXPENSIVE and UN-REWARDING experiences that causes immediate regret that solidifies and justifies its place in the toilet for a rating...I would have gotten more "BANG for the BUCK" by getting a root canal, watching paint dry or checking my eyelids for cracks and light leaks. NOTE: The only reason I have selected a star in the graphical representation of a rating is because selecting a star is required to post a review and there were no stars in the negative end of the spectrum, or else it would have been in the extreme. I never leave reviews but i was so disappointed with the birthday party service after spending so much money . There was no birthday host help you could never find anyone ! Wr talking to the front desk workers no one knew anything ! There soda machine wasnt working so we had to wait forever for them to fond bottles of lemonade! The pizza was so gross! Went in to just look around and asked if that was ok and was told by the front deck it was ok but when we went to go into the water park area we were jumped on by 2 other people that said we had to sign a waver which would have been fine if that's what we were told. but we were just looking around to see if it was worth coming to with out grandkids the older man setting in a chair started the attack about the waver. I can see there is no customer service here. Not sure if we will come back. It is always sad to be treated like this when you're from out of town and what to treat your grandkids to something you think might be fun for them and you get treated like this. New water park in Goddard surrounding Wichita area. Watch for deals because it can get expensive if you come on a whim. I guess it is a new place, so they gonna charge more. Surfing area is cool. Drink is weak but inexpensive. Happening place so prepare to be patience. Staff was unfriendly when you tried to ask questions. If you have kids, they will definitely love it. It is nice to be winter and still have an indoor water park. read more

I had a birthday party for my son and daughter on June 25th at Blast Off Bay. If you are planning to do the same you might want to read this review first. Pros Blast Off Bay is ideal for children 10 and under with slides of various heights, a surf machine, lazy river, splash pad features, swim pool, etc. 16 children came to this party and they all loved it. Parents had fun to and it was helpful that it's in a relatively small area and no pool is deeper than 3 1/2 feet. Although it's not mentioned on the website they gave all the children a gift bag to take home with toys in it. The kids enjoyed the arcade, which although small seemed generous in awarding tickets. Every child got enough to get some small toy with them. The pIzza's and soda were delivered promptly They let us store the gift bags, presents and left over cake behind the counter while we were in the water park. Cons I did the party invites online as requested and each one showed that the invitation was successfully sent. Fortunately about four days later someone asked me if I ever sent them. I checked on line and it showed none had even been viewed. I asked around and no one had received an invite. I called Blast Off Bay and was told everything was fine. I pointed out that it showed no one had even viewed the invite but the employee I talked to couldn't care less. I had to send out my own invitations. Imagine if no one showed up to this expensive party because they never received an invitation. Three days before the party, the party planner got the invitations sent. Way too late. Although you are told you can bring decorations and games for the party they won't let you in the room until precisely your time even though no one was in the room ahead of us. We actually got to the room ten minutes after our time as there was a delay. The room was supposed to hold 40 people. We had 24 including adults and only the 16 children could sit down as there was barely enough room for them to sit down. The adults were squished up against the wall. The room was so small and the time was so short there wasn't anyway we could play the party game I planned or decorate. The party is for 10 people but you can add extra guests for $25 each. However, you won't get arcade cards for them. You have to buy those cards separately for ten dollars each. Nor will you get more pizza, you'll need to pay $14 a piece for them. Any adult who goes in the water park area must pay $25 even if they are in street clothes and are only there to help keep an eye on the kids. A locker cost $15 but it does have in and out privileges. The surf machine was turned off by the time we entered the water park and wasn't scheduled to be turned on again until 15 minutes before the party ended despite our time in the water park being two hours long. I had specifically asked about it when planning the party and they assured me it was a free add on. The woman in charge was unsympathetic to my complaint about it although I took care to speak softly and politely to her. I suggested they post the hours it's available on the website so parties can be planned accordingly but she said it all depends on the conditions that day so there are no set hours. Several other of the Moms joIned me in encouraging her to turn it on a little sooner so she turned it on 15 minutes earlier so our kids could enjoy it for the last 30 minutes of the party. Conclusion - I might have a birthday party there again but I'll never buy a party package again. I don't want to publicly how much that party cost me. You can buy pizza in the water park, arcade tickets and entrance to the pool for less than the party package. Also saving yourself hauling everything up and down the stairs and being squished in an uncomfortably small room that violates occupancy codes. However, the kid really loved the arcade and water park. read more

The wave machine was broke and no one told us before we paid. The bar was closed. We paid 2 times to get in so the kids could do the wave ride and big slide. The wave ride closed for maintenance. Told me 1 kid was not 42 inches tall. So she could not fo the slide. Plus I had to pay to get in just to watch the kids. Not worth it. read more

Kids had a great time, not the best at keeping the surfing wave open and not the best costumer service. Water is dirty to say the least. But it was super fun for the kids, so we will be coming back. read more

Young Family had a blast but all 3 of us got very sick since our visit here over the weekend, all of us had identical sysmptoms of vommiting and diahrea. Curious if anyone else was there sunday aug 18th 2024 and had this happen. Also they closed all of a sudden at 5pm though hours were clearly posted for 7pm. I would tolerate this for the during the week rates but not the weekend rates. Sickness was similar to tanginikas issue 2 years ago at the splash pad. read more

We had a wonderful time at Blast Off Bay. I was especially impressed with the lifeguards at the Surf pool. They were patient with beginners, conscientious about safety, and actively involved in teaching guests how to use the boogie board. I'm also thankful that supervisors confronted a mostly topless woman. (Every one saw every bit of her nipples.) Staff treated her with dignity and grace even though she had not behaved with either. I wish the water was a bit warmer, but that's the only thing I can think of to suggest, The place felt clean and welcoming and LOTS of FUN!! read more

This is a brand new gym, which has its benefits, and the water park is amazing for kiddos. Otherwise, the staff is unhelpful, and you might as well be talking to robots. The water park pricing is almost a scam. I rationalized pricing...if you're swimming/playing. They do have a lot to offer. My husband and I came to work out and take turns working out while our 11-year-old plays. We don't feel comfortable leaving him alone as most parents wouldn't and they charged us nearly $20 per adult to "observe"..even after I told the girl at the desk that one of us would be working out while the other was watching our little boy. Along with that I had water, as one does when working out, in which they had to confiscate anytime we entered the water park doors. Even if when I forgot my key tag to check in the gym and literally took 20 seconds to retrieve. There are plenty of other locations and other ways my child can swim. I will not be coming back to this location due to the greediness of the gym and lack of common sense. read more

For the price charged per person I expected everything advertised on the website to be operating, especially since the weekday hours are extremely limited! It was very disappointing that either the slides were open or the surf machine...one or the other but not both at the same time. The staff was super rude! At a quarter til closing time they walked around and said it's time to leave. So, for $30/person not only did we get 1/2 of the experience, we got less than half of the customer service. I'd rather drive to GWL and enjoy our time instead of having a poor experience like that! And, don't even think about bringing in your own water, that's not allowed. We were not happy with our experience. We got there a little after 2 o clock, by time we got settled, my oldest son wanted to go ride on the slides. As soon as he walked over there, they were closing them and said they were opening up the surfing. They said the slides would open back up in an hour. An hour later, the slides were still closed with no sign of opening back up anytime soon. My younger son also cut his head (pretty badly) on the slide and the life guards seemed unconcerned and were in no rush to help us or get us a first aid kit. He came walking up to me blood dripping down his face and no lifeguard even noticed this. He got blood on the ground and no one even worried about getting that cleaned up when we left. We had to take him home and at that time the slides were finally opening back up. So we were there 2 hours and my oldest didn't get to ride the slides at all and that is the only reason he wanted to go. No where in any of the advertising does it say that when one is open the other is closed. They really need to let people know and put it on a schedule so people can plan trips accordingly. Spent alot of money just to have the main attraction for us not running. read more
