This is a truly authentic French restaurant, from the menu to the atmosphere. The interior has a perfect French vibe--charming, cozy, and full of character. When we arrived, the place was crowded, but we got lucky and snagged a table just five minutes after a group of four paid their bill. Seating is fairly close to neighboring tables, but it was still very comfortable and added to the lively, bistro-style ambiance. The food was excellent across the board--everyone at the table loved their dishes. A special shoutout to the grilled squid, which was sooo good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Our server was amazing as well: friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We ordered the shrimp stuffed avocado with a mango dressing for an appetizer and I could have licked the plate. Two of us had the fish and two had the steak for our main course and they were both amazing. The presentation was very nice and the flavor combo was just what we wanted. The restaurant itself appears to be inspired by a French bistro look so although the food looks very upscale, the decor is more homey and inviting. We sat inside and would have preferred to be on the terrace as it did not have any air conditioning like so many German buildings, and was a bit warm on a summer evening. I recommend trying to request a spot outside if you can. The wine was good, we ordered a bottle of rose', but they were all priced at €20 and above which is very expensive considering you can buy a good bottle in the store for about €5. I guess you're paying for the experience though. The service was friendly and although our food took a while to come out, I expect it's because it was freshly prepared and I'm always ok with that. After appetizers, dinner, a bottle of wine, and two bottles of water, our total was around €140 for four people which I thought was very reasonable. But it was a bit oily. The pork tenderloin main course unfortunately was so tough I couldn't cut through the meat and ended up sending it back. They were very accommodating and fixed it for me (I felt bad because it was pretty late and they were clearly closing the restaurant). The fixed plate was better, but parts were still chewy. Beside the issue with the meat the rest of the plate was way over salted. The place has potential, but not quite there yet. One starter, one main, plus a glass of wine and water came or to be ~45€, which is a lot for over salted food. However well intentioned it may be.
