With spacious sections, affordable bottle packages and the best DJ with the tunes you are sure to have an amazing time! I loved the music selection with a mix of hip hop, reggae, reggaeton and afro beats which kept me dancing all night. Their kitchen is also open all night with a selection of bar bites. I just had dinner so I wasn't all that hungry and only ordered some wings. Blend Lounge offers a pretty good experience overall. One of my best friends decided to celebrate her birthday @ BlendLounge on Dec 10th. I'm not sure how easy or hard it was to book a table as she did that on her own. We showed upon a little before 11:30pm and got in with no issues. It was about 5 of us and we all RSVP'd using their eventbrite link, which states all ladies free before 11:30pm. The establishment is quite modern - colored lights, a garden wall photo-op, and plush seating. Although its a large room, it was there were tables and section in almost every area, I didn't see the dance floor. We were immediately catered too upon arrival, but we received a terrible section. We were seated by the bar, right next to the bathroom and a speaker, which was behind a short wall/section. It looked like our section was an afterthought to take advantage of the empty space. We didn't complain but I wish they had given us a heads up that the entire section wasn't for us, we were technically only offered half the section. This became inconvenient when they split the section and offered it to another group. The couch seating only allowed 3 people to sit comfortably, if separating the tables. It was 5 people in my group, including me. 4 of us squished up on the couch, while I grabbed a stool/partition to sit on. One of the staff asked me to get up off the small stool so they could partition the tables. I simply responded "Well, where am I going to sit?" and she walked away with no response. Another staff ended up bringing a new partition. The group came over and it was so packed and uncomfortable. I guess the staff realized this and gave the group some options but eventually, they were moved. Another group ended up coming towards the end and it worked better since the party was in full swing and many of us were not sitting anymore. In addition to spacing, location was an issue. We were sitting next to the bathroom. Aside from the constant door opening, there was a line eventually and people would come over and boldly sit in our section, as if we weren't there and paid for our section. Very annoying. They need to work on that. Moving alone, the atmosphere was pretty good. The DJ played a great mix of hip-hop, R&B (including some 90s classics), dancehall, and soca. We were up and moving for most of the night. The crowd is a mix of maybe mid-20s all the way up to late 30s, so a nice variety. Dress code doesn't seem to be enforced, so I would take it lightly. I saw girls in winter boots and body suits, so take that as a guide lol. Staff are nice for the most part. They came over to our table with lights and sparklers to wish my friend a happy birthday; a very great touch for the occasion. We did not order from the bar as we had a bottle package - 2 bottles of alcohol, 1 bottle of champagne, and an appetizer. The 2 bottles of alcohol are specific to options they provide, anything not listed is an upcharge. We ended up paying the upcharge as the option we wanted wasn't available. The appetizers feature basic bar food. We opted for buffalo wings. I don't think they prepare them on the premises. They were kind of cold, but tasted alright. We also ordered hookah but I did not try it. Now, I just wanted to circle back to the layout of this place. Again, its a large room with multiple sections. My friend wanted to get on a dance floor and mingle a bit. When we walked thru the crowd trying to find the dance floor we realized, there was no dance floor. It's just tables and sections all around. People were hugging the wall, some empty space by the bar, and the walkway/area between the entrance and the section area, but there really isn't a place to dance. You're confined to dancing in your section or the empty space by the bar. Now I get that it's a lounge, but it gave more of a club vibe, so I was surprised that there wasn't an actual open dance floor. It seemed that perhaps what is or what has been the dance floor was the space where the free standing bar tables were. I'm guessing that's a way to get people to purchase sections (?) Overall, we had a good time. If I could give 3.5 stars I would. The highlights were the music and lively crowd, but the seating and location issues were unappealing. If I can give this place a one star I would... very unprofessional... paid a $100 dollar deposit for a section on a Saturday and literally two days before the event I get a call saying that they have a standing section... wtf is a standing section I'm paying money out my pocket to get a section for me and my girls so we can dance and sit when we went... it was the inconvenience for me because not only was it a last minute cancellation I had to go back and forth with my driver because he charged me extra for an inconvenience fee because we had to change the location of the event... very unprofessional... Came here for a brunch party and it was dope. See the flyer in the pics. The bartenders and hookah staff were especially great. The service they provided was on point. The bartenders were accommodating when taking orders. We ordered food and several items ended up running out, but the bartender comped us with beverages. The hookah staff changed the coals numerous times to keep the hookah going. Some places charge a $5 fee to change the coals. I appreciate good service, but especially appreciate it when things are not going exactly right. I feel like the food situation was something that could of easily turned me away if it wasn't handled properly. Check this spot out, in addition to everything else it was a beautiful venue, it's new so everything is new. The bathrooms were also clean which is a plus lol. I thought I would like it but I don't. I went this past Saturday and contemplated on making this review. The ambiance is beautiful I can give them that. Now the service is mediocre tbh. I came here with my cousin, she was invited to celebrate someone's birthday with them. The person had paid $1100 for a section & the space was limited. First I texted the number provided on their Instagram page asking about a cover charge and was told it was $20, and I didn't have an issue with that. What I did have an issue with was that they only took cash as a payment with such an "upscale lounge" I would thought they would've had other payment options. So the leaves me having to use their atm....their atm fee is freaking $3.99 to take cash out. Then you know banks charge a fee for using a non bank atm...so chase charged me $3.00. So basically I paid $7 just to get cash out. Now here this goes....we order drinks and was told we had to spend the minimum of $25 to use our debit card...like wtf why not have that printed out in big words at the entrance and etc? Oh because it's illegal to charge someone extra or telling them that they have to spend a high amount to use their debit card. I had Don Julio and cranberry and I only tasted the cranberry juice....I didn't even get a buzz and my cousin had Henny and it was more like Christian brothers smh. We decided to order hookah and they hookahs were broken smh. The entire section ordered a few hookahs and we all had the same problem. They literally charged us to have them running back and forth to bring us "rubber" to "fix" the broken hookahs smh. Overall, they need to get their priorities straight and stop being so money hungry. Blend blend blend, sigh* great place to hear soca and reggae, very cute space, & security was so friendly and professional. My group of 7 had a standing table. Obviously you need to make frequent purchases to keep the table. That is exactly what we did, ordered hookah drinks, we were tipping the bartenders keeping the momentum flowing. The night goes on and my two black male friends we denied entry because this place is choosy. On top of that I guess a group of ppl were coming in and needed table space. Rather then the bottle girl coming up and asking us if we were done or needed anything else, this woman ran up on the table with a buss boy and started packing us up WITH THE NEW GROUP OF PEOPLE STANDING BESIDE US WATCHING OUR FULL CUPS OF LIQUOR BEING TAKEN AWAY! How embarrassing! On top of that the woman whispered to one of my friends you gotta go. That was it, no explanation no thank you for spending all your money nothing. I just feel like the proper thing to do would have been to say hey we need the table are you guys done? Unprofessional at its finest. I mean the vibes was good but we stood outside for almost two hours it says y'all open at 10 but apparently not till 1030 then the officers decided they wanted to come have an inspection so we were all standing outside in the cold and rain didn't go inside till 1130 then get inside and the door guy try to charge my bf when we were told everyone in all black was free then he let him through. And not once did our server or anyone come to check on us or ask if we needed anything we didn't get our food till like 2 am after asking so many times. When arriving to the lounge I get searched and one of the security guards take my taser and says you can't have this so I said no problem thinking he was only going to hold it till I leave. He tells me he couldn't give it back to me at all because it's against the law to have one and that he is also a cop and he technically doesn't have to give it back to me but if I'm willing to pay a fee of $20 he will give it back. I'm thinking he is joking with me but sure enough he wasn't. Came out the club because I literally had to stand if I didn't purchase a bottle and was told that couldn't be standing near the bar because we would be blocking whoever comes in so couldn't even put my drinks down anywhere. Came here tonight for the first time to shoot a show scene & everyone was really nice. The DJ had the music bumping & the drinks were really good. We were really low-key as to not draw attention & make the footage look organic. It worked! A special thanks to the bottle service lady - she was so sweet & really took care of us. So I reserved a table here three weeks prior to my birthday. I got an email confirmation notifying me that the table was reserved. They left a number for me to call in the email, no one answered! I got to the establishment ON my birthday and they had no table for me! They told me whoever was in charge of reservations "quit" and screwed everyone over. I had to end up changing my package deal because they had no balloons or cake that came w. The package! I also had over 25 people with me squeezed in one little area. Also the flyer says a mixture of different music but the DJ literally played soca music ALL NIGHT. I will add, The place is nice inside and the hookah girl and bartender was extremely nice.
