I hired Dana for a surprise engagement photoshoot. We agreed upon a price 495 for the photoshoot. A little higher than others, but I was fine with it since I wanted to capture the moment. We went through the photoshoot and the pictures turned out good. I saw the pictures on her website and asked Dana for a digital copy of them. She then told me that the digital photos were not included and that only 9-10 prints were given to me. Our contract did not specifically say that digital images were not included. Dana responded that I should have asked more questions in the beginning. I felt that was unfair but I still wanted the images - so I asked how much additional they were. She quoted me an additional $595 for the photos totalling to $1,090 before taxes. Personally, I could not justify paying more for the digital images than the entire photoshoot. In the end, I felt I was taken advantage of. In my opinion, all the work has been completed - and it would have cost Dana little to nothing to release the photos just to satisfy a customer. read more

Dana and her assistant did an amazing job photographing our outdoor wedding and reception at Cambria Pines Lodge. We didn't know any local photographers so we did a ton of research before choosing Blessed Beyond Belief photography. Ultimately, since most of the photographers were in the same ballpark when it came to cost, we picked Dana because we loved her work on her website and we're so glad we did. We are absolutely delighted with the 400 finished digital photos she provided us...getting the full rights to the final digital prints is part of her standard wedding package so that we can make whatever hard copy prints we want (at Costco). We had a great time getting to know her during the free engagement photo session (which also included our kids) and we ended up buying a few of those photos as well since they came out so great! Let me first start off by saying thank you Dana for being the most professional and fun photographer to work with. Just 5 days ago I had the honor of proposing to the love of my life in Napa, Ca. When planning this surprise proposal I reached out to the one photographer that I could remember. Dana had take photos of our family for my Mom's 60th birthday a few years ago. Just so y'all know I hate taking photos (sorry dana its true), but let me be the first to tell you she makes getting your photos taken and extraordinary event. Well I missed my cue a bit in the moment and after I was a little on the bummed side thinking that I ruined everything. well almost everything because she said "YES", but in the back of my mind I was kicking myself for not following the easiest instructions anyone could ever give you. Today I received the link to my photos and once I was able to wipe the tears from my eyes I just had to come onto yelp and review my experience. Dana has taken pictures on our wedding day and most recently she did a commercial shoot for me. She is warm and extremely friendly which makes you feel so comfortable and makes for fabulous pictures! I chose Dana because #1 I loved the name of her business #2 when I visited her website and read her profile I just knew she would be the perfect photographer for my Grandson's Senior Portrait Session. She bonded instantly with my Grandson and made him feel so at ease during his photo session. There were no fake smiles among the 35-40 shots she took of him. She had great ideas on photo settings and when he wanted to stand on a rock in the middle of the creek she was a little aprehensive but I gave the go ahead so we could get a few of the shots he wanted. Dana of Blessed Beyond Belief and her assistant did the photography for our wedding in the summer of 2015. Not only did she take time and care to get to know us and our preferences, but was a pleasure to work with at every stage. She got loads of perfectly framed candid shots, as well as excellent posed shots, as the situation called for. After the wedding picking our favorites out of the many hundreds was really, really tough since there were so many good pictures. We were already expecting something great from her, but we were literally flabbergasted when we got the actual wedding album. It was so much better than our expectations that we just sat there for an hour leafing back and forth through the album. I'm not even sure where to start my review as there are so many amazing things that came from Blessed Beyond Belief and Dana. Dana photographed our daughter's wedding last June. She could not have been more helpful, more positive or more engaging with the happy couple. Because they didn't have a long lead time before the wedding, Dana made a special trip out to meet them and take some pictures 'just to make them comfortable with me', so that their first meeting would not be on their wedding day (they live out of town). She also scoped out some wonderful sites on our property that we never would have thought of using. This brought us some fabulous pictures that we weren't expecting. On the wedding day, Dana and her assistant arrived early and spent lots of time throughout the morning, taking candid shots of the family, candid and posed shots of the wedding party, the bride and groom getting ready, and various shots of pre-wedding activities. During the wedding, we never saw her and she was never conspicuously in the way. We did know we would get some good reception pictures as she and her assistant floated amongst our guests. But I think more than anything was the true surprise when we saw the first proofs of the event. My husband and I had never seen our daughter look happier. Dana just captured pure joy on her face, our son in law's face, and truly, we were beyond words. The albums took some time as the happy couple weren't in a rush to choose their photos, but the end result was spectacular. Funny thing was, we compared OUR old wedding album to their new one and the difference was so obvious. We had many posed, 'smiling couple' and 'wedding party' pictures. But Dana's pictures were truly pure life and joy. I cannot recommend Dana enough for her photographer's EYE, her thoughtfulness, her thoroughness and her professionalism.
