Savory Roots checked all the boxes for us. They offer food and bar at a reasonable price, and with competitive pricing it seemed to others in the general area. Before fully committing to them, they offered group tastings and gave us a rough estimate of what everything we desired would cost. After the group tasting we were able to better fine tooth what we wanted on our special day by having a private tasting. The way they have both of these tastings set up is very organized, and the private tasting is just you and who you invite. The cost to do the tastings is well worth it even if you weren't looking to find a caterer! (Lol) Throughout the months leading to our wedding, various members of SR kept in touch with us via email/their website board. The constant communication we had with them was what mattered the most to us. Not all of our vendors had great communication, so it was nice SR, our largest expense, kept in touch. They made everything less stressful for us and it was just great. Day of the wedding everything went flawlessly. Other than the excitement of getting married, I only had 2 worries. I worried about it raining (ceremony ended just moments before the skies opened up), and everyone enjoying the food and drink. The service staff were excellent, while we (bride and groom) and wedding party took pictures, they were bringing us appetizers and ensuring we were taking care of while our guests enjoyed everything elsewhere during cocktail hour. Staff constantly checked on us during dinner and made sure we were happy with everything. All service staff were excellent and just can't say more about how great they were. My main interaction with SR the day of was actually with Stephanie, who bartended for our wedding. She was an all star. I never saw a line at the bar, but everyone had a drink on hand. She was fast, and she made our signature drinks spectacularly. If you like gin and want a signature drink, she makes a mean gimlet! She always had one waiting for me when I was just nearby. I honestly can't say enough good things about Savory Roots. If I needed to use them again for any type of catering event, I definitely would. Everything went perfectly, food was great, drinks were perfect and staff just were top tier. Thank you from both of us for making our special day truly something to remember. I recently attended a wedding at Legacy Lane Weddings in Brooksville. It was an absolutely stunning…read moresetting for someone's big day. The wedding ceremony took place outside under a large tree. The tree is located to the left of the White House, a large plantation style home, that serves as the "Bridal House." This house includes a pool and is large enough to accommodate the bride and her bridesmaids as they prepare for the event. After the ceremony we moved to a pavilion (called The Legacy Pavilion). Here we listened to music and ate some food while pictures of the wedding party and family were taken. The pavilion was beautifully decorated and shaded (despite the four thirty wedding time, it was still pretty hot out). The reception took place in the property's carriage house. It was once a six-stable barn which has been transformed into an air-conditioned reception space. It had vaulted ceilings and easily housed all the people that attended. The space had plenty of room for guest tables, a dessert location, a photo booth, a bride, groom and bridesmaid seating area, food setup, bar and dance floor. The venue included valet parking, which made finding a place to park your car a non issue. It also had some outdoor games (corn hole) that one could play while waiting for pictures to be taken. The property, according to the bride, also includes lots of on site cabins that family members and wedding guests could stay in. I didn't venture back to that part of the property so I can neither confirm nor deny these cabins. Legacy Lane Weddings in Brooksville was an incredible place for a wedding. If you get the privilege of attending a wedding here, you will not be disappointed.
