Its not one of those churches where it seems like you hear the same thing over and over. There seems to be a childlike exploration of the attributes of God that lead to understanding not only more about Him, but ones identity as a son or daughter of God. Good leadership, and excellent child care as well. I cant think of a time my wife or I didn't leave encouraged, as if the one who was teaching knew everything about us.

Faith Church is non denominational and I find the lack of doctrine nice. Teaching is based upon the Word of God (Bible)and Jesus as a relationship. I find the message by Pastor Josh Cossey important in my life, he consistently gives you points that engage your heart and mind all week, makes you hunt for answers in the Bible and yeah, sometimes question yourself. The worship music is great IMHO, mostly recent songs but then a old classic gospel sneaks in. Don't sit in front of me, I'm a terrible singer. Faith Church has a nice age diversity but it's a young church, about 45% children under 18. They have a great children's program. I have to admit that I teach a 5th and 6th grade boys group but I'm not an employee. This is a new location for Faith Church, moving from NW Highway and Council Road. Give it a try.

If you're looking for a place to…read moreblend "high church" (serious cathedral action, big organ, robes, formatted services) with "neighborhood church" (wear what you feel; little old ladies being sweet; a "come as you are" attitude, both in appearance and lifestyle), then this is your place. If you're looking for a church that does acoustic jams, camp-style sing-alongs, and hipster references...you can find that here, but in Sunday School or Wednesday night classes (Presbyterians call it "Kirk Night"; "Kirk" being the Scottish term for church. See? Being a Presbyterian makes you an honorary Scot, which gives you the right to wear tartan, have bagpipes at every special event, and make the claim that "If it's not Scottish, it's CRAP!" But I digress...). You'll find a real cross-section of folks here: across ages, incomes, races, lifestyles and beliefs. That's a good thing, but sometimes bubbles pop and splatters happen while the melting pot is cooking. The big thing is that these people are committed to the ideas that God loves us; God loved us first; God loves us regardless; and we should work everyday to share that love with everyone in everything we do.
