Bleu Bite Catering was the absolute cornerstone of our wedding: Bend, OR was a destination wedding for my husband and I, and I knew that I had come across the right company when one of their previous clients returned my reference call... from her vacation in Hawaii. I couldn't believe she was calling me from the beach on Oahu, which to me was as glowing a recommendation as I could imagine. Cerstin and her team were so ready to work with us to create a menu that worked for us - we ended up doing heavy appetizers and a dessert bar to accommodate our more casual, fun reception. I loved how full-service Bleu Bite was: they took care of all of the place settings, glasses, silverware, and tables that we needed for the event. Having Bleu Bite do the pre-party set-up and tear down was also a complete no brainer: they worked with my wedding coordinator to get the place looking great before our guests arrived, and cleaned everything up to the venue's satisfaction, and on time. For a destination bride and groom, we couldn't have asked for more. In fact, we had a number of glasses break throughout the night, and the Bleu Bite team was very quick to help us clean up and get everything under control. The food was delicious, and set up in a very attractive manner. We also LOVED that Bleu Bite was so flexible with their alcohol policy. We loved being able to buy our own wines, liquor, and beer for our guests. Bleu Bite was incredibly professional and responsive, and each and every single server was so friendly on the day of our wedding - we felt like we were being entertained by family. The bartender was fantastic, and kept the drinks flowing all night and kept things fun. If we were to ever throw a large party in Bend, we already know who we'd come back to. Had the great pleasure of attending Theatre in the Park last night. Got the VIP tickets for our group (and I quote) " join us for appetizers and drinks with the purchase of a VIP ticket. " Sounded great. Got in line for drinks, I don't know if the two young ladies working the bar were with the catering company but they were fast, lovely and helpful. Very nice. Then went to have an appetizer.... None were there but apparently dinner was offered. There was one folding table with food on it. Chicken breast in what looked to be herby water, somewhat German potato salad and bread. The chicken was unappealing whilst floating around waiting to be rescued. It was floating because it was so dry. The potato salad looked lovely except ALL the potatoes I ate were undercooked. Hard and crunchy is not how I like my potato salad. So I ate bread. It was fine. I'm guessing the staff hadn't done this before since there were no plates though after a thorough search, some were found and no napkins. One bite of chicken (ugh), several of potato (just making sure that all the potatoes were in fact undercooked) and two slices of bread (since I needed Something to eat). I've been to several events catered by Bleu and each time I've had a similar experience. In the future, I'm going to stop going to charity auctions and live theater, etc if they are involved . read more

Bleu Bite was an absolutely phenomenal company to work with. We hired them to cater our wedding reception. In the planning process they were super flexible and easy to work with. They helped us put together an incredible menu that we would've thought was way out of our budget. We so appreciated the quality of their ingredients and Eco friendly options that come standard. They were very accommodating when it came to our special dietary requests as well. On the day of our wedding we were evacuated due to a wildfire and instead of packing up and getting the heck out of there, in the midst of the evacuation the on-site coordinator for blue bite calmly asked, "where would you like us to go?". And without hesitation they packed everything up and drove to the backup location and set it all up as if it was planned to go that way. By the time my new husband and I showed up the food was ready but not overcooked and everything went on as planned. We had a delicious dinner and incredible service. The team pitched in as if they were apart of our friends and family. So glad we chose them to cater the wedding and can't thank them enough for everything they did to make our wedding reception happen. read more

The rain that poured during our event was somewhat expected, in spite of the rain and a very unexpected forty five minute power outage, our caterer "Bleu Bite Catering" kept our customers happy with outstanding service, a friendly smile and the willingness to accommodate, as we managed to get through the start of our event with no power. "This is the first time I ever witnessed customers wanting and taking photo's of the food and of them standing next to the food..." Customers were "Wow'ed", by the buffet table set-up and the attention to detail that made the food a big hit and helped augment our, Duck Store Grand Opening festivities. Absolutely amazing!! Bleu Bite catered our wedding this November, and it simply could not have been better. The food was stellar. We opted for an all appetizer menu and a dessert buffet. For the appetizers, we asked if they could turn some of our favorite entrees into bite-sized morsels... and boy did they deliver!! The tiny little Cuban sandwiches, poutine potato skins, and Cajun shrimp on polenta were so delicious. So were all the other appetizers they created. They also filled an entire beautifully decorated table with creative antipasto offerings: 3-cheese torta, bacon-wrapped figs, stuffed Peppadew & salami skewers, delicious veggies, and on and on. All of our appetizers were passed, and Bleu Bite's servers were super friendly and attentive and kept the tables clean. I can't go without mentioning the dessert buffet. The make-your-own s'mores were a huge hit with kids and adults. And the homemade brownies, cookies, and bars were delectable and cooked to gooey perfection. I started a yelp account simply to review Bleu Bite. 5 stars simply is not enough for this amazing woman led company!!! The team is so fabulous and although Cerstin is not at every event, she makes sure her team is flawless! We recently had our wedding at our home in Tumalo. It was pouring rain, hailing and although there were some bumps trying to get the catering team set up and out of the unexpected rain, they were cheerful and helpful to me the entire time. They were so adaptable and calm that I didn't freak out. They brought us over food during photos so we didn't miss out on our amazing appetizers and not only that plated up a bride and groom plate with a full spread of everything we had on the menu and put it in our fridge for that night. We definitely were not a couple that missed out on eating at our own wedding! Our menu was so delicious, they worked with our budget and we didn't feel like we missed out on anything. We are still getting comments 2 weeks later on how amazing our food was! I will be using them for every event from now on! read more

Wow! So good!! Instead of having my employee Christmas Party at a restaurant this year, I decided to host at my home and have Bleu Bite cater it. Food was delicious! It was so easy! They came in, set up, brought EVERYTHING I could possibly need to serve my guests, and were so helpful and professional. As we sat down to eat, I began to hear "sighs" about how good the food was. It was truly an enjoyable experience - and we didn't have to try to over talk a crowd at a restaurant! I will do this again and again and again..... Clean up was easy as well - I left their chafing dishes, etc out on my porch the next morning and Bleu Bite came and picked everything up. No fuss for me - but really a first class meal for my party! Bleu Bite did a fantastic job at our wedding! Not only was the food REALLY DELICIOUS, but the staff at our wedding were organized, friendly, and very thoughtful. For example, they made sure to create an appetizer plate for us knowing we might not have time to try them, and adjusted really well when our ceremony had to be delayed by 45 min. I have been to several functions where they catered, one of them was my daughters wedding! We needed to find a caterer across the country for a reheasal dinner to be held at a private residence in a place we had never seen! I went to an auction at my granddaughters school a few weeks ago that was catered by this company. Everything was so good,and carried off so well. The food was served family style, and all the platters were carried to the tables at the same time so that everyone had hot food in front of them at the same time.
