Lunch special available during the weekends. Perfect curry flavor
    Maria A.

We were pleasantly surprised on how good the food was, especially the pad see ew. Only a few chefs can cook a decent pad see ew -- fresh noodle, perfect seasoning and you can taste the smokiness.

Was staying at resort where food was pretty bland so wanted to eat Asian full of flavor meal! Loved this pad see ew - my favorite dish in Asian cuisine. Also glad we decided to get side of veggies and extra chicken skewers because the portion was on a smaller side. The skewers were different sizes and were sour but the texture was good. Although the portion was small I liked the flavors and pad see ew was delicious and not too much msg. Will order again when I'm in the area. Not many options in Bend by the way.

Settled in a neighborhood shopping area we came across JIA Asain Street Kitchen. This place is well designed and we loved the little plants, moon and upside down umbrella lighting. Luckily we had placed a reservation in advance and we're able to get seated immediately. The booth we were sat in felt like the table was a bit higher than normal, but that is literally the worst thing I could say about the place. We can crunchy rolls, fried oysters, pad thai and green curry, all were great but the flavor in the curry was by far my favorite.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! You have to try this place if you love Asian food. The ambiance is awesome with 90's music playing and super cool decor inside. They have an upstairs area too with a Ms. PacMan and Mortal Kombat arcade games. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food and cocktails that you get here. We started with the crispy spring rolls and the crab Rangoon. The spring rolls were super crunchy and delicious and the crab Rangoon was the best we have ever had. We got the Pad Thai, spicy pork noodles, and Saigon Bowl. All were amazing and the spicy pork noodles was everyone's favorite! The service was friendly and attentive. You have to try this place! They also have patio seating in the front.

I love this spot! The food is amazing. Service is wonderful. I love having them in my neighborhood!

It's was an early lunch. I arrived with a friend of mine and we both enjoyed drinks and various appetizers. I did enjoy the poke and the fried shrimp. The pork baos that came out appeared vibrant and flavorful. The deep fried oysters though, not my favorite. I know I can earlier in the day, but perhaps I may visit at a later time in the day to enjoy the atmosphere and the ambiance. This restaurant is tucked in the back of a shopping center and appears the locals come to hang out here frequently. Service wise the wait staff were very attentive.

First time at Jia and we came in for dinner with the family. I had made reservations, but were not truly needed on a quiet Wednesday night. The menu had a variety of dishes and we ordered family style so that we could try many dishes. We chose the crab Rangoon (we all agreed they were the best in Bend!), chicken pad Thai (5+/5), garlic green beans (5+/5), and a marinated lemongrass chicken plate with rice and a salad (4.5/5). Everything was freshly prepared, hot and deliciously seasoned. All of the dishes tasted fresh with quality ingredients. We also had to try the mango passionfruit crepe for dessert and it was loved by the whole family. It was so light and flavorful! Service was kind and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful all around. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the experience at Jia. We would definitely return!

This place is beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. We ordered clay pot noodles with shrimp, glass noodles, and lard. They also have Thai beer on top, Singha.

JIA is 20 minutes outside of downtown Bend but is well worth the drive. The menu is innovative, and they offer some truly craft cocktails. We tried the Long Island Sunrise and the Tokyo by Night, both of which were unique, and the Kuhn Craig which was more like a traditional margarita and the least exciting of the 3. We ordered the food family style so we could all try multiple things: - Crispy rolls appetizer - Spicy eggplant with tofu - Saigon bowl - Vietnamese chicken plate Highly recommend all 3 main courses. The chicken was so tender and well flavored it was hard to stop eating it. Three dishes was more than enough for 3 people, and we probably could have gotten by with two. Can't wait to return!

One of our best/favorite meals from our time in Bend was at Jia - it was a perfect combination of delicious food, cute decor, and especially great service. My friends and I ordered: - Crispy rolls appetizer - Spicy eggplant with tofu - Saigon bowl - Vietnamese chicken plate Drinks were delicious AND pretty, and the food was just very satisfyingly flavorful. My favorite was the spicy eggplant, which was so good. We truly wish we were hungry enough for dessert! Reservation was easy to get, and really can't say enough about how nice and attentive the staff were. Very much recommend!

Follow the alley. Trust me…read more You know those places you stumble into and immediately think, "Yep...this is my kind of spot"? That was San Simón for me. At first, walking down the alley in downtown Bend, I honestly was not sure what we were about to find. Then we started seeing little fire pit pods, heated huts, glowing candles, and people tucked away having cocktails. It instantly felt cool without trying too hard. Walking into San Simón felt like stepping into some funky speakeasy hidden in plain sight. Dark lighting, moody atmosphere, David Bowie playing in the background, wild artwork on the walls that makes you stop and stare for a second. Just a great vibe all around. The kind of place where you sit down and immediately relax into the evening. The cocktails were excellent. Not overdone, not syrupy, just really balanced and well made. One of our favorites was the "Some Positive Feedback," which came with this sugar rim that looked awesome and added just enough sweetness without overpowering the drink. Bright citrus flavor, refreshing, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Then we asked the bartender if they could just make us something off the cuff. We said vodka, lemon and lime forward, not too sweet, maybe a little spice. They absolutely nailed it. Crisp, refreshing, layered citrus flavor with just enough heat on the back end to keep it interesting. Honestly one of those cocktails where everybody at the table takes a sip and immediately goes, "Oh wow." As a bourbon guy, I was also pleasantly surprised with the whiskey selection. The bartender recommended Stafford's Reserve, an Oregon bourbon, and I am glad I listened. Smooth, approachable, a little sweet up front with some spice on the finish. Easy sipping bourbon that fit the whole vibe of the place perfectly. What really made the night though was the staff. Everybody was friendly in that genuine way where you feel welcomed instead of "served." By the end of the night it honestly felt like we had been there before, even though it was our first visit. The outdoor setup deserves some love too. Bend cooled down at night, but the fire pits and heaters kept everything comfortable. We could have easily stayed another couple hours just hanging out. Pricing felt fair for the quality of drinks and atmosphere. This is not a dive bar pretending to be fancy. It is a genuinely cool cocktail spot that knows exactly what it is. If you are in Bend and enjoy craft cocktails, bourbon, cool music, quirky atmosphere, and places with personality, go find San Simón. Half the fun is finding it tucked down the alley in the first place.

Let's just start out with the atmosphere.... This place is just covered in craft store plants and Amazon decorations. No character nothing special. Now I could've gotten past that if the drinks were OK. I didn't have super high hopes, but I was very excited to find a Tiki Bar in Bend while I was traveling for work. So I started out with just a classic Mai Tai after looking over the menu and being pretty disappointed that it's just the most basic "tiki" drinks in existence. The Mai Tai was flat out awful, and I mean AWFUL. It tasted like water mixed with lime juice. No alcohol taste in anyway, and not even a drip of Orgeat taste. It is so bad that it upset me, and it's completely clear like water. I did decide to stay cause I needed a break from the long week of work, but I just went straight to rum straight. I could've overlooked this, if there was even any slight conversation at the bar with the bartenders, but they had no interest in talking to the people that were there, three of the people at the bar were employees, and the entire time was just them talking together about how much they don't like rum or even the drinks on the menu. Wild. Past that they were talking about how they store their juices, and that they don't date label them in any way or throw them out after a certain amount of days, they just come in and taste them to see if they've gone bad. Get the f*** out of here.... A quick Google search will show you that most citrus juices start to oxidize within the hour, and orange and pineapple are not far behind...
