So I had an absolute emergency... Booked an appointment here a couple days ago but had to cancel at the last minute due to a major gealth issue that involved an emergency trip to the Dr. I do understand the concept about the loss of production with schedule changes, cancellations etc. But health takes precedence over hair! Also, what was interesting was when I made the appointment three days ago they had numerous openings... as in more than two or three per day! So I called and left a voicemail before 6 AM about cxllg today. I never heard back from anyone until 15 minutes after my appointment time was to have taken place. The voicemail message I left included saying I want to reschedule. So as I'm pulling into the Dr parking lot, I return their call as I assumed they were calling to reschedule me. But no. Brittany fumbled over even checking her messages! Initially, I was told in no uncertain terms by Brittany, the receptionist, that the deposit I paid would need to be paid again because I gave less than 24 hours notice for the appointment cancellation. Well, I wasn't just canceling, I wanted to reschedule. Then Brittany did say she would check with the stylist to see if they would need another "deposit" in order to rebook me. Bad business. There is a difference between flat out cancelling vs having an emergency and wanting to reschedule. However, I won't be rescheduling. So they lost a customer! I was looking to start a new relationship in the area with someone that I could trust my hair to for not only this holiday season, but through the next few years. Updating my review because we had a very different (worse) experience this time. Took my 6 year old daughter for a hair cut for the first time in about 6 months. She had hair almost down to her waist. We asked for around 3 inches to be chopped off, and the girl proceeded to wash and cut my daughter's hair. After cutting the first section, my daughter asked for it to be shorter. The girl then started hacking away at the hair and didn't seem to be splitting sections in any way. My daughter then said she didn't want it blow dried so we paid and walked out. The next morning, my daughter woke up and I started brushing her hair and noticed it looked a little crooked. When I wet it, I realized it wasn't a little crooked, it was completely off-balance. The right is way higher than the left, the underside layers are longer than the top layers (mind you, we didn't ask for any layers) and the entire job looked like a 3 year old took scissors to her hair. I'll be returning to ask for it to be fixed, but I will never book an appointment here again. read more

Instructions provided; don't get it wet for two day. Perfect. Nope not perfect. Day 3 and no color. Went with another friend who experienced the exact same thing - after being scammed into buying products to keep the color. Both girls were truly disappointed. I honestly feel cheated- brought my daughter in for a cut the other day. Her hair is way too long and difficult for her to manage- wanted something more medium length with some light layers. She came out looking basically the same as she went in- hair too long with no layers. Basically ended up being a waste of $60 for a very expensive hair wash/blow dry. Here it is the next day and I still can't believe what happened yesterday. I reached out to Bleu Salons amazing stylist Danielle to talk about a very much needed dramatic change to my hair for my birthday. The problem was I wasn't at all sure what I wanted to do, I just knew I wanted exotic colors and something unique. Here's where another amazing artist stepped in! Cory was more than excited to be apart of the birthday surprise. And this was truly a surprise, as I left all decisions about my hair to Danielle and Cory. Now usually a stylist might not like to hear "just do something different" but this two amazing ladies stepped up to the challenge and made an amazing experience that got the entire salon invested and ending with some very happy tears. They covered the mirror and quickly got to work preparing my hair for the fun colors going in. Danielle and Cory were so gentle with me and very warm and welcoming ladies. I have bad social anxiety and not once did I feel uncomfortable. Danielle could double as a masseuse with how she washes your hair. Cory and Danielle both are quick and thorough with color application. When those ladies dropped the cover off the mirror I couldn't help but cry with joy over the artwork they created, the entire salon was in awe. I was new to the area and should have done better research on this salon. I went in for a consultation for new extensions. I meet with the stylist and told her exactly what I DID NOT WANT. I wanted to cover the grey on the crown roots, I wanted the color that I currently had, maybe brighten it up a bit. I did not want beaded, tape, sew in, clip or tape in extensions, I have tried them all and they do not work for me. So she convinced me that I should do hand tied extensions, never heard of them and I kept saying I don't like sewed in, and it not like that right? nope, she said. So she orders the hair and and I prepay and schedule for 2 weeks out. When I get there, I look at these platinum wefts and I am like " that is grey with purple, and in a strip". I tell her this cant be the right hair as I want my grey covered, not added. She says that she will tone it, I should have left, but I already paid the $300 for the hair alone. So she colors me and I feel bad that I don't think she is listening to me. So, then the install starts and guess what?? It is a sew in, call it what you want, it is sewn in and horrible. I leave, in tears. I call the next day and say that I want to come in have the hair removed and my money back for the hair. I have blonde on the top and a grey, purple weft of nasty on the bottom. I am so embarrassed with how I look. It isn't even blended in, you can clearly see where the extensions are. I am told to come back and she will fix the color next week. So I wait, keep it braided and look ugly. I go in and after several applications of a toner, I leave and still it looks like my hair got spray painted with a water gun of different shades of color. I tell her I don't like it, and leave. I call again a few days later and tell her to please take the hair out, it is defective and looks like a rats nest all the time, certainly not $300 hair. She takes it out, says she will contact the distributor and order new hair. I don't want to go through this again and you lied to me. I was so clear that I did not want a sew in and I told you this so many times, I love to wear my hair up and in braids and I cant to that with a weft sew in! Yes, I could have paid for new hair and done this whole crazy process again, but I choose not to. I called and told you to please just refund the cost of the hair, since you you have in in order to show the distributor, and you say that is not going to happen. My option is to again do something I told you that I did not want and deal with it, since it is what you like and what you have in your hair. The color never matched, the wefts were grey, I do have some of the before and after of what was done to the hair. I would not recommend this place at all and will make sure that everyone that I meet knows what she did to my hair and how you made sure I felt even worse about myself when I walked out then I did when I walked in. read more

My wife and I have been going to Bleu Salon for about a year since moving to Bloomingdale. We always get master stylists and service was relatively good and more convienent than driving to our old salon in Brandon (Divine Designs). On 07/08/2015 I wanted to get a haircut before our vacation to the Dominican Republic, but when calling there was no master stylist and recommended a new stylist. I was hesitant at first but the concierge girl assured me she was great with men haircuts. Needless to say, I went to the appointment and was not satisfied with my haircut. I went back the next day and spoke with the owner (Mike) and requested my $23 back and he said he could not do that and only try to fix it. That being said, fixing it would require them to cut my hair shorter which would not work for me. I have very fine and light hair and the shorter you cut, the more my scalp is exposed and I did not want the hot sun of Dominican Republic beating down on my scalp (I have had melenoma skin cancer). I confirmed with the owner that this was his business policy and willing to lose two clients for life and he said yes. To me, I dont are about the $23,nor need it, but more about the principle and treatment of the consumer. As a territory manager for a multi-billion dollar organization I was blown away by his response, so here is simple math for the owner (If he reads these). My haircut: $30 (master) x 13 per year = $390 My wife: $70 (master) x 7 = $490 Yearly total: $880 Yearly total x lifetime (50 years) = $44,000 I guess it makes sense for their business not to refund $23 than to keep a customer for life. On a side note, my wife really enjoyed getting her haircut by Breanne and now unfortunatley it will be taking tip money out of her pocket. Kinds regards. read more

They fixed a horrendous haircut I had at another salon and are going to continue to treat me while I heal from said haircut. Part of their prescription includes wine, and that helps. On the spur of the moment I decided on a weekday to go get my hair done. I was sick of the darker color I had died it and wanted something lighter and needed a cut. I was told the person I was getting was good (think her name was Erica, but could be wrong) so I went to try it out. I had chocolate brown hair and wanted blonder. After a color consultation she strongly recommended that I don't do all over blonde as it would fry my hair (which I made certain I didn't want my hair very damaged after this ordeal). So we stripped it with a non harsh stripper they call color correction to see if it would lift off the color. It did. It took off that chocolate brown and brought me back to my natural color a light brown with red undertones. I mentioned that I had reddish tones and it was visible. Anyways after that she said partial highlights..and I specified I didn't want anything streaky looking (which I find highlights tend to)...anyways, did I mention I spent a lot of time at the salon that day? So I sat under the dryer for a while while it did its work. She said it turned out quite orange and she would have to use toner on it. So she did. In the salon I wasn't particularly happy about the turn out..didn't feel too off from my natural color and I definitely had definitive lines of lighter and dark. I shelled out $160 without tip (she was nice and did what she could as her experience but too new to this I think). Anyways, in the sunlight it looked a bit better but it still had some orange/copperness to it. Right at the beginning of the strands there was copper and then it would like to blonde. Anyways between the copper look at the scalp area, the streakiness, and the fact that my hair is definitely much dryer and feels more damaged..I will not be returning. I now have to go elsewhere to pay more money to fix the copper and hopefully help repair my hair (which was certainly not this damaged when I went in to begin with). read more

I got a terrible haircut last week that is nothing like the picture and I mentioned I didn't like having to curl and style my hair I need to pull it back for work. I also have a wide face and mentioned I didn't want a round bob and it looks like this but with choppy layers on one side that are jagged. The cut I got is uneven with random long pieces and the layers don't blend at all they look choppy. I am devastated after spending $50 just on a wet cut and seeing positive reviews, I am embarrassed to leave my house but it's already too short so I'm nervous about trying to fix it. On top of it I was trying to do a hair donation and they should have told me highlights would be rejected and I would have never cut so much off, when I called days later they hadn't sent my hair in yet and said they were sending it to Pantene which stopped taking hair 4 years ago, I requested it to go to a children's charity that didn't specifically say they didn't take highlighted hair. I don't even trust them to donate it after this confusion which is why I said I wanted to send it in and they convinced me they would do that. I'm so upset and I told them I wasn't happy when I called that it was choppy and they didn't offer to fix it or discount it, I am so upset, this is the worst cut I have ever had. read more

I came here with the free coupon I got in the mailer for a haircut. They were able to get me in the very next day. I walked in and the salon was beautifully decorated with very comfortable seating. They offered drinks right away. I was taken back by Liz. She listened to what kind of haircut I wanted to come up with a game plan. Asked if my head was tender just to know how gentle she needed to be with brushing. She used very high quality products for my shampoo and gave me a wonderful relaxing head massage! I've been here 2 or 3 times and I always leave so so satisfied!!! Even though I get a different stylist each time, they always listen to me and get it exactly right. A bit pricey but I think so worth with the work they do and getting it perfectly right every single time.
