    Lychee martini
    Samantha B.

Came here while visiting the area on a bachelorette trip! This place was recommended to us and I'm happy we stopped by. The place itself is very intimate with low lighting and lounge areas with game available (including a Ouija board if you're 'bout it!!!). Our server was super friendly and fun. She was just a perfect vibe for our celebration. I ordered a lychee martini and the glass it came in was so..... unique. I guess it was to keep the drink chilled but it was strange to pick up the glass with no stem. Either way the drink was delish. I would recommend the spot to anyone visiting the area wanting a different or more intimate experience!

    A speakeasy

I was pretty excited to check out this speakeasy, since I don't believe I've ever been to one. My drink was delicious and our server was very nice, but It took quite some time to put my order in. Otherwise, a nice place and relaxing experience.

What a find! Who knew Leavenworth had a speakeasy! Our drinks were ridiculously good.

The coolest speakeasy you will find in town! Super low-key in the dark alleyway. You will have to follow GPS to find it. But great service, the people here really know how to make a cocktail! I didn't have the opportunity to try the food, but the menu looked amazing. This is a great spot to end the night and will be a new tradition for us. Great night cap/ high end cocktail night!

A speakeasy in Leavenworth?! This MUST be new! My wife and I have been coming to Leavenworth every Christmas for upwards of six years, and although we rarely find ourselves poking around in the basement of this particular building, my curiosity (exacerbated by my forgetfulness as to what was actually down here) led to our discovery of Blind Tigress, an hour before it opened, and we vowed to return later that evening to check it out. And we did! And let me tell you...yup, it's a speakeasy! Despite not requiring a secret password for entry, or having a camouflaged door (although there easily could be another, hidden entry, somewhere else nearby), it has all the necessary hallmarks of a good watering hole: sultry aesthetic; craft cocktails; attractive clientele. One of the few pure drinking spots in town, and hidden *just enough* from the swarming masses above (many of whom are burdened with children, preventing their entrance to this elite establishment) to prevent it from being overwhelmed and requiring a wait list: our party of four was seated immediately, having done the smart thing and leaving the kids back in our hotel rooms! Praising and drawing attention to Blind Tigress is a bit of a double-edged sword, since I want them to be successful, but I don't want everyone to know about it, leaving it as one of a handful of refuges tucked away from the general public *just* out of sight, so that us regulars and experts have at least one sanctuary in which we can find serenity and succor, even during the busiest time of the year in Leavenworth. If you happed to stumble upon it as we did, enjoy it to the fullest, but as with any refuge worth protecting, remember the wizened words of Gandalf the Grey: "Keep it secret. Keep it safe."

Very friendly staff. The vibe is nice with a jazz feel too. The bartender was super knowledgeable and helpful. I got the grapefruit gimlet. I really recommend coming in and checking the place out.

We weren't ready to call it a night, but the restaurants were all closed. It made for a very quiet street by the lit trees. It was kind of magical. Anyways we went to one of the bars that was open but it was not at all what we were looking for. Loud, sticky, and crowded. We left. Then we looked on yelp for another option and at that moment we were walking right by the very place I was reading about on Yelp. The signs were so inviting and charming. We followed them inside to the next sign. We ended up inside a "speakeasy" and there was a cool red glow inside. The ambiance was just what we were looking for. Little alcoves with people tucked inside and friendly couches with stacks of games for the playing. We plopped down on a couch and ordered a couple of cocktails. I had the Oaxacan old fashioned and it was so smooth I'm still thinking about it. Hubs ordered something with gin by accident (not his favorite) but it wasn't bad. It was the perfect ending to a lovely day in Leavenworth. I only wish I had found it the night before.

Inside, the bartender continues it with a level of passive aggression that makes it clear customers aren't exactly valued here. As a 53-year-old man, I've been around long enough to know when an environment isn't worth my time, so I chose to walk out rather than deal with the hostility. As I was leaving, the bouncer actually laughed, which only reinforced the impression that this kind of behavior is not only accepted, but encouraged. It's frustrating, because situations like this are often exactly why businesses struggle. When staff treat customers poorly, it directly impacts whether people stay, spend money, or ever come back. All while the owner is home wondering why nobody ever comes Respect and basic professionalism go a long way, and unfortunately, that was completely missing here. For Leavenworth there are much better places, so don't even bother with this place. Not worth the time

Granted, it's only been here for a year and a half, but that goes to show that you can't take anything for granted in this charming little town! Ours, although brief, was a wonderful experience. Initially hesitant to enter, as we had a full squad of kids with us, including two babies in a double-stroller, and two pre-teens, but we were welcomed in anyway, and assured that minors were allowed. My wife and I were introduced to the (extensive) menu of champagnes available, selected one that catered to our individual tastes, and were both impressed with our selections: a dry white, and a rosé (whose names I have shamefully forgotten, but I don't think you can go wrong with any choice here). The ambiance within is gorgeous; our server - phenomenal, knowledgeable and welcoming; and the view of the Christmas lights on Front Street is pretty darn good. This would be an excellent place to get away from the crowd during the Christmas Tree lighting event, watching from just across the street, warm and toasty (and a little toasted!), and without being crushed by the crowds. Our previous favorite hidey-hole for watching the festivities (The Loft) may have a competitor in future years, especially since we can't bring the kids up there! Seating is limited though (or it would be, during peak busy season), so get their early to snag a spot! Our Leavenworth trip happened to coincide with one of the worst storms (& flooding) that the region has seen in a long time, so the entire town was sparsely populated with tourists, meaning we were the only ones at the House of Champagne at the time. Probably a good thing for us, with so many kids in tow; I wouldn't want to haul all of them in when it was busy and annoy the other patrons, but seeing Leavenworth that empty, two weeks before Christmas, can't be good for the local economy. As things bounce back, keep that in mind, and be sure to look out for stellar local places like this which, as I said before, can be easy to miss, even for us regulars. House of Champagne is exactly the kind of place you want to see thrive in a town like Leavenworth, so take my advice: don't miss it!

We made sure to close our tab so that our tip will go to her before she left. She answered all our questions and if she wasn't sure, she made sure to get the answer elsewhere for us. There was a football game that didn't start for another hour so we asked if we could play pool. She let us know that the projector would need to be put up but said to play pool anyways and she'll see what night staff would do. So we did. We were finishing up our last game and went back to our seats. My bf asked the new servers if they could play the sound of the game and he just flat out said "no". I then asked a different server if we could pull down the projector like it was earlier with the sound, and he looked at me straight in the eye and said "no" and walked away. There was no conversation. I would have appreciated it if we were given a reason as why it wasn't possible when they were doing it the entire day. After our original server left, we were not checked on at least once. The only time we got their attention was when we had to waive them down and asked for a beer. When we finished that, we left it on the table to see if they would notice. I started a timer too. The bartender or server was playing poker too which I didn't understand considering it was pretty busy. My bf who plays poker noticed one of the dealers wasn't dealing top card during the game so be cautious playing the card game here. At this point, with the timer still going, we were not checked on for 20 min. We're closing out and leaving to different bar.
