Karaoke with Tails was a blast! They start 9'ish on Friday and Saturdays, and he brought in a wonderful crowd. The barkeeps were friendly and quick - order at the bar, and they bring to your tables, and at very reasonable prices. Karaoke was our main reason for visiting after a day of enjoying the Cascade Celtic festival, and we were NOT disappointed. Tails has access to every song imaginable, takes care to clean the mics after each singer (ever get COVID from karaoke? We have!), sets up each singer well, has great equipment, fair sequencing of singers and sets the tone for a fun evening. If you are in Leavenworth over a weekend, go visit the Post Office tavern on 9th Street. Whether you sing or not, there are a couple pools tables, a friendly crowd and it will be a great evening! read more

Worst bar in Leavenworth by far. Terrible service, dirty bar and all around a cheap and rude establishment. The bar tenders were not attentive when trying to wave the down for a drink whilst sitting at the bar they would either ignore you or tell you that they are too busy. I wanted to buy pull tabs and after asking the bar tender he told me he was too busy then proceeded to stand there on his phone. A female bartender is who mainly got my drinks an it was a slow and dreadful process. After receiving this kind of service I proceeded to leave a very low tip. Which they are lucky they got one anyway. She then wanted to let me know that she was unhappy with the tip she received which was very disappointing and unprofessional. I visited the Old PO Tavern a few weeks ago during our Leavenworth Road Trip, mostly because it's the only place in town with karaoke and also because I love a good dive bar. It delivered adequately on both levels, with the obligatory bad lighting, outdated seating, grumpy service, and good drinks that generally come with a dive bar, plus a karaoke setup that seemed like an afterthought at best. The place was pretty busy on a Friday night, and we were lucky to find seats near the karaoke, which is held at the very front of the restaurant so if you find a seat in the back (by the pool tables) you're pretty much SOL if you want to watch and/or participate in the singing. Luckily our group of 5 just happened to find a table near the karaoke action and were soon belting out the latest and greatest hits to a rather unenthusiastic crowd. The service at the bar was pretty slow. A few in our group waited longer than others - there seemed to be a definitely preference towards serving locals rather than we tourists. Once they arrived, though, the drinks were good. And they did offer some decent beer taps and also pitchers, which was nice. If you want to sing karaoke in Leavenworth, this is the only game in town as far as I know. Just don't expect a whole lot, and you won't leave disappointed. read more

I came here a few times during visits to Leavenworth. I was leery based on reviews, but since I have worked for the Post Office more than 20 years I felt like I had to try it out. Yeah, at first the service was kind of stinky but after going a few times I think they thought we were local and it got better. It's one of the few places opened late and they have karaoke. Woah. I am so surprised with the bad reviews but maybe we got lucky. We went the 2nd weekend of January when it was still quite busy for the holidays. We didn't do any research just saw they were going to do karaoke. We ended up sharing a table with a nice couple who didn't mind us sitting down. The DJ host does do something quite unique in that when there aren't too many singers signed up he will play some music videos and I thought that was great as it prolongs running out of singers. He was also so nice. The customers in this place were awesome! One woman gave me some Tylenol, another asked me to dance, another asked me to sing with her. We started a dance floor many times. The bar tenders were fine. They were busy so we didn't get incredible service but they were friendly enough. The bouncer was great. He went along with me pretending to be a bouncer and getting people to show me their dance move before they could enter. The whole vibe of this place was awesome! Came here trying to prolong the night drinks and hanging out but was almost derailed coming here after hearing some buzz about it. Couldn't stomach this place. Like a bunch of other reviews, it starts with the doorman, wannabe bouncer. Takes a full minute to look at my ID. If you need glasses or a flashlight maybe do that before your shift. Then starts questioning someone in my party about the address on their ID. Check the picture and the DOB. Do your job. Say less. We get inside. The Karaoke looks like something you'd see in a retirement home. I thought I was bad at karaoke but wow. Maybe it was the sound quality. It didn't even seem like anyone was into it despite it being packed. Counter was lined with people but looked like staff were taking their sweet time, so we didn't even bother. Group of five of us got the heck outta here all within 10 minutes. I like divey bars, but this is more like a garbage dump that someone threw some chairs, slide in a couple of pool tables and (poorly) mounted a TV. I've seen better bars out of somebody's basement. I love going to the PO to play pool and sing karaoke on either Friday's or Saturday's. The place is usually very busy and lively. Best Chef's salad I have had in years. Lots of everything in it and the best part was their ranch dressing, Uncle Dan's I think. We also ordered a cheeseburger which was good as well! Good old fashion RACISM!!!!!! We were apart of a Bachelor party and we decided to come into this establishment on 4/29/2023. Around 9pm or so. This establishment has a touch tunes juke box that you can control with your phone. Every time we purchased a song to play on the juke box it would continue to skip and not play all the way through. We decided to ask one of the employees "cook" why this is happening to only our songs. The cook looked at us, laughed, and proceeded to say "F.CK YOU". "It's skipping because your playing BLACK PEOPLE music". Seems that this place is not for anyone that doesn't look like them or conform to their way of life. This space was way too bright for a tavern. It's like they got LEDs from Costco making this place shine from the inside. We were only in here for a short while before we decided to try somewhere a little bit less bright. This bar is known for its bar fights apparently so don't try to park in front of it. Went here at 9:30 p.m. on a Thursday night, and we looked in through the windows to see how crowded it was. Immediately, a female customer walks up to the window and starts pretending to unbutton her shirt, as to expose herself to me and my male friends. We were not amused. I toss it off, although I found it particularly revolting. We were only trying to go here because most of the other places had already closed. Anyways, the bouncer seemed grumpy and didn't pay any attention to us. As we were about to go in, three drunk guys come out, and basically stood right by us and start to mess around and try to joke with us while I'm trying to look up a menu. Use to go to this place all the time, on our last visit we didn't even make past the front door. The Bouncer is straight out of RoadHouse, and not the good guy Bouncers. Best bar in town! We immediately felt like regulars as we were treated amazingly by every employee there. Shout out to Sharon our bartender for her tremendous service and attention to detail. Saturday night was crowded due to the Cougs game and karaoke afterwards but we still got the royal treatment. I love this place because you never know who you'll meet...we had a doozy of a time here! The big guy at the front door is the rudest person I've ever seen. If I owned this company, I would not have ever have him the first person on my my customers meet, because the waitresses and the bartenders were amazing and so friendly and fun. If it wasn't for other friends already being in there, I would've turned around and left because of the guy at the door. Some of the rudest people I've ever seen serving people. They truly seem annoyed by people coming into their business. Apparently if you're not a local expect sneering looks and slow service, in fact they will look right through you as if you weren't even there. I've been here at least once a year for the last ten or more years and nothing changes. This place sucks! It's a locals only bar. If they don't recognize you then you don't get served. My lady and I went and had a great time playing pool, left for a couple hours and came back. When we came back we ordered one beer each and before we could even have a drink the bartender said my lady has had too much and she took the beer back.
