    I have advocated as positive as I can for Bottini while not lowering my score for them, however…read moreyesterday this weekend was not necessary. As a customer I am on a fixed payment plan and locked in pricing, I agree to delivery on their schedule using their forecasting tool that tells them what my tank should read. It has never been accurate, in fact as of this weekend it was off by 25%. Now this is important as you get close to needing fuel. It they have me higher then I will run out if I trust their forecasting, but I can upgrade for $150 to a digital that they can monitor in real time. This has led me to have many conversations, especially when doing a contract. I make sure it is okay to call in a request and not go by fate of the oil gods. It is never an issue. They even have a spot in the app that you can do that for that reason. EVERY time, someone tells me I do not need a delivery. Every time, I have to call and explain - this is what my gauge reads. I know you service a huge client base. I am sending an awareness message as at times it can take a week or more to get on a delivery schedule. Oh, okay. Saturday, I was told my tank is not as low as I said. Excuse me? I'm looking at it. Well, what changed? Perhaps the 20 degree temperatures and single to teen overnight lows? The month prior we were 30/40 degree days and 20 overnights. Maybe I am using more hot water? Who cares. You don't need a delivery as you should only use 10 gallons a day. Well, if you need us to deliver this week or keep calling we can remove you from fixed pricing and terminate your contract. We cannot just add you to our delivery as emergent as there are people who need oil more! No one asked to be added to todays cycle or even this weeks. I sent a request indicated the tank level which is an option. You determine when to place me into rotation knowing that your forecast is incorrect. That's not how it works. We can charge you full price. Manager, Dana was no more helpful - coming out the gates very smug unless that's her speaking tone always to which, yikes. Basically I can deliver on Thursday or she can cancel your contract. This being my option because when an agent threatens to cancel my fixed pricing or contract, I asked to speak to a supervisor. Dana went on to tell me I abuse the system by calling in a request and that they never fill my tank completely and that I waste their time when drivers could be servicing those in need. It didn't matter I was told I should call when the tank is at 3/8 to 1/4 to let them know to get me adjusted in the schedule. It doesn't matter that they are given the precise level and can determine where I should fit in the delivery schedule. It also doesn't matter that this is only a winter issue and in the summer they use their forecast and have delivered a few times when my tank was more than 50%. Manager Kelly was more helpful and notated my account that I can call in and that they can determine when to schedule as I have never demanded a deliver within a day, I am merely saying I need one with the next weeks. I was told that more home owners should be like me and give an appropriate heads up as they no rally get people without oil in emergency. If that's the case, then why did everyone before argue me? Between being threatened to be cancelled, having a driver tell me that they would not deliver because my drive way a sheet of ice in which I sent real time pictures and there was one area of wet slush on a 40 degree day, and a propane tank that was leaking for a week before I was taken seriously that my tank smelled and something was wrong, a technician charging me to turn a screw that my wife said I could handle later but it's not a problem he was in the radiator but conveniently forgot to mention if he turned the screw 1/8 of a turn and then back this was a full service charge - I think it's time for management to really listen to their customer experience.

    Have been a Bottini propane heat customer since 2006. They've allowed my tanks to run empty at…read moreleast twice despite the fact that I am on an autofill plan and have a CC on file to charge. This can be a dangerous problem in winter (frozen pipes). I am now currently almost empty again and it's going down to -1F tonight. This despite paying for an annual contract with them (Gremlin device) to monitor the tank levels wirelessly (so they know when they are low). Still, they let me nearly run empty. I called their customer service twice today but no one picked up (even on the emergency line where I waited on hold for over 10 min twice and never spoke to a person). I will call them at 8am tomorrow morning and demand immediate fuel delivery and an explanation. This will be my last winter with Bottini, I've had it.

I interviewed several companies, Anderson, Pella and more. Upon meeting John, one of the owners, I immediately felt conformable. There was no high pressure, never ending talking like the other companies did. He took me through product choices, the various price points and made great suggestions! The unique thing with this company, they are working with the best window companies in the business. Anderson, Bella, Harvey, others. They have access to all those lines. I found that refreshing. When you talk to Anderson sales people, they're selling you only Anderson windows With Windows Solutions Plus, they are suggesting the best line and the best quality for your specific home. I selected Harvey Windows, top vinyl line, based on John's suggestion and the price point. Deposit given, order was placed. Withing 6 weeks , I received notice the windows are ready for install and we booked an install, a few weeks out. The install was Thurs ( 1/24/24) The installers were great. They arrived exactly on time, Spoke well, understandable and polite. They first spent time lining the home with drop cloth , covering near by furnture with plastic. It made me comfortable that they respected my property. Then, the removal of the old windows. Very little noise and very little dust or debris. After that came the install of the windows. It was seamless, everything fit perfectly. Then, the trim work and finish trim. This is where I feel high quality carpenters are needed for a good install The team at Window Solution Plus, has great carpentry skills. The trim work both inside and outside look terrific. Spot on. The next stage was cleanup. It wasn't a 15 minute rush job. Instead, it was a well executed professional job, lasting over 1 hour. Vacuuming, dusting inside. Actually washing certain areas of the floor. Then the coup de grace, they go around the property near the outside of windows and pick-up debris by hand, then vacuum. When they leave , the inside and outside is perfect. Like they were never in my home My wife and I couldn't be more happy with our windows and this company I will hire them again in the near future and highly recommend you do the same. You will be happy you did !

Marigold Home was a glaring exception. If you buy something in the shop, with a price tag on it, you'll be fine. But if you get into any ordering with them, WATCH OUT! I attempted to buy Hunter Douglas window treatments from them. I'd bought them for our apartment in Brooklyn and was very happy with the entire experience. The experience with Marigold Home was completely different. Most businesses, when you're placing a special order, will write up a quote, detailing what you're purchasing and how much you'll pay for it. Not Marigold. They don't want to give you that because they say people might take that and go elsewhere for a better price. It was my mistake for not stopping right there. I allowed myself to be gullible and believe they were an honest business. After they took my deposit and placed the order, only then, and only after I requested it three more times, was I given a printed quote. Even then, it wasn't as detailed as what I'd gotten from the dealer in Brooklyn (L.W.P. Home Products) before they'd asked for any money from me. Just to assure myself Marigold's price was somewhere in the ball park (because it had seemed so expensive right from the start), I submitted a request to LWP, without telling them I'd already had a quote, because I didn't want LWP to give me a competitive quote, just the usual quote they would give. They did so right away, and it was literally HALF the price Marigold was charging. (I called LWP then and told them what was going on. They said they could arrange a local installer to do the installation. If only I'd called them first, I'd never have had to have this awful experience!!!! But of course it was too late by then, as I'd already been fleeced of my deposit.) Most, if not all, Hunter Douglas dealerships give discounts off the "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price." Not Marigold. Not only don't they give any discount, they also add exorbitant installation costs ($400 for approximately one hour's work) and "freight" charges (around $200) that I wasn't charged for by the other dealer. In the end, I was so disgusted with Marigold that I didn't take the shades. I paid the deposit, which covered their costs with Hunter Douglas, their "freight," Maria's time in coming to my house to measure my 7 small windows (four of which were all the same size anyway), and left enough over for Maria and her husband to have several expensive dinners out. That was about $1500., but it would have cost me another $1500. to have the shades. It was a painful and expensive lesson in being gullible, but I will never make that mistake again. I will eventually deal with the shades the way I have in the past, by going to Home Depot and ordering shades which I will install myself. Unfortunately. There are other local dealerships for Hunter Douglas - and whatever other products Marigold Home carries - and I strongly suggest you check around before ordering anything from Marigold.
