This is a screen capture of a movie of the blinds closing. The one on the right was 1/2 slower the the other 2. They are perfectly in sync.

My wife and I recently purchased 3 new room-darkening motorized shades for our bedroom. We could not be happier with every step of the process. From the start, the collaboration was friendly, professional and we received excellent advise from everyone at the Columbia, MD Blinds to Go store. The measurements were handled in-house. The representative arrived on time and all measurements were accurately taken. No problems with fitment. The installation technician who arrived a few weeks later was courteous, skilled, professional and worked with us to ensure that our new shades operated perfectly before he left. Programming the Automate shades was a breeze and they work flawlessly. The Pulse 2 Automate app is excellent and the seamless integration of the new motorized shades with the Apple Home app make using the shades using Siri and/or preprogrammed "scenes" effortless. I big thank you to everyone at the Columbia, MD Blinds-To-Go store. You all were a pleasure to work with before, during and after the sale/installation. The quality and functionality of the shades are excellent. You will be our one-stop shop for all of our future window dressing. Thank you. Bruce

Fantastic community -- highly recommend!…read more I've lived in this complex for a while now, and it's easily the best apartment experience I've ever had. The facilities are first-rate -- a great fitness center, beautiful pool, game room, and modern, well-kept apartments. The security gives me real peace of mind, and everything is always clean and well-maintained. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the people. Sean, the property manager, is approachable, friendly, and genuinely cares about the residents. The office staff are always helpful, the cleaning crew does a great job, and the maintenance team is outstanding -- quick to respond, skilled, and some of the nicest people you'll meet (which isn't something you can say about every complex!). They also go above and beyond to create a sense of community with fun resident events -- from free breakfasts and barbecues to pet-friendly gatherings with treats and photo ops. It's those little touches that make it feel like home. If you're looking for a safe, friendly, and well-managed place to live, this is it.

The refused to answer basic questions, had forms for every thing, no timely follow-up on service requests, and overall the quality of the place had worn off. The management company is useless and given to retaliation against the building residents. Avoid this place at all costs.

I am a current resident at Lakehouse and a happy one. From perfect amenities to the friendly staff,…read moreI would recommend this place over other apartments in the area. The location is very strategic: in the middle of Columbia Town Center but away from the main road so you wouldn't hear noises. I get free coffee from the lobby every day, and it is the highlight of my day. The Concierge lady, Sherri, is very reliable and friendly. Oh, did I mention they have many significant events every month and complimentary yoga classes twice a month? Not forgetting they have a free EV car chargers for those with EV cars.

I'm going to say right now - Lakehouse is such a pleasure to live at (it's pretty new at just under…read morea year old). The rest of my review is below - My girlfriend and I looked at apartments in April of 2018 with the plan of moving in to wherever we selected near the beginning of June. We visited Lakehouse and several other apartments in the region. We made the "mistake" of visiting Lakehouse first which sort of soured us on everything after... HOWEVER - this wasn't necessarily a bad thing. The rent here is a bit on the higher side - but Lakehouse is classified as luxury for a reason. The staff are all INCREDIBLY friendly and fast to respond to special requests and maintenance tickets. We had a few things (very minor) that needed fixing or adjustment when we first moved in, and we never had to wait more than one business day for the maintenance folks to resolve issues. Further, the concierge/front desk is even willing to deliver packages to our apartment if you will not be home in time to fetch your packages on your own. We have a weekly HelloFresh delivery that they even unpack and load into our fridge for us! The building is pet friendly ($40 pet rent per pet). We had a few issues with a neighbors dog barking for hours on end but that has calmed down significantly. The staff was quick to get back to us and has always been willing to work on any issues that pop up. Your rent doesn't include utilities - but you only pay $6 per month for trash services (disposal rooms are easy to find and well lit). You pay utilities (both Comcast and Verizon are available for telecom). Electricity is through BGE and through our first month the prices have been affordable. We have laundry machines in our apartment and they are energy star rated - the washer is a bit compact and can't handle that much laundry - but that's the trade-off for saving space and water. Parking is INCLUDED in your rent and the parking garage has ABUNDANT parking (I'm not exaggerating). The garage feels very safe ( I regularly leave radio equipment (for my volunteer gig) in my car and it has not been broken into)). Security guards watch the garage overnight as well. You have control over your climate control as well which is very nice - the balconies are spacious and enough to fit chairs/small table on them. I will definitely reiterate that the major draw here is the staff - they are so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. I hope Bozzuto has no plans to give the building to another management company. There are frequent resident events as well. The rooftop pool is a huge plus - it's never super crowded either. The staff also tends to remember resident names. If you're looking to move to Columbia (easy to reach route 29) you should definitely visit/tour Lakehouse.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!…read more I called and scheduled a cleaning for move out. I requested a top to bottom cleaning specifying that the carpets and vents be cleaned and that the entire house be dusted. I was assured that they did everything. My wife called me after they left and said we needed to "finish cleaning." I asked her how that was possible since we had just paid 600 dollars and she said that the glass wasn't cleaned the baseboards were not cleaned and the carpets were not vacuumed. I called and told the company this and they agreed to send people out to rectify the situation. When I say I had to stand over them like little kids and point out things to clean I am not exaggerating. I pulled down the blinds they had pulled up instead of cleaning and dust fell into my face. The baseboards still had dog hair all over them the vent covers had not been touched, the windowsills and the window glass had not been done. This is AFTER they came back and told me they were almost done. I had to point to EVERYTHING! I had to go back to the same vents in the upstairs room and at the top of the stairs 4 times and then stand there while the guy did it. The final walk through of the buyers was an hour after the "cleaners" left. When we met them at settlement they stated that their conditions had not been met and that we had clearly not had anyone in to clean. I cant say I blame them because I would have thought the same thing. I had to pay a thousand extra dollars to the buyers because they refused to sign because of the terrible cleaning job that was done. Some details that I observed for myself: 1) When I asked them to clean the closet baseboards they wiped them off and didn't vacuum the carpet that the dust fell onto. 2) those carpets (or any) had not been vacuumed to begin with 3) The vents that were wiped off after 4 requests to have them cleaned left several dirt/hairballs that were just left on the floor. 4) The only cleaner that I saw used was window cleaner. For everything 5) After pointing out the cupboard in the bathroom had not been done (there were red vitamins of some sort in it) They threw the vitamins in the toilet and didn't flush it, in addition, they didn't actually clean inside the cabinet. It was still covered in dust. 6) They had to be shown the top of the refrigerator was covered in dust. 7) They had to be shown the windowsills several times. The above is just what I noticed while I was there the second time. I honestly don't know what was cleaned the first time. But, I can say, that if I were a buyer I would not have believed that I hired a professional cleaning company either. Last but not least when I called after the settlement Instead of an apology I got arguments. I told him I wasn't looking for anything but wanted to let him know that I was not pleased. He then hung up on me. Save your money and hire someone, ANYONE ELSE!!! I can or stress this enough!!

This Property Is a Legal and Ethical Disaster--Avoid at All Costs…read moreIf I could rate this place zero stars, I would--and even that would feel generous. The property management, especially Jamie, is an ongoing nightmare. She behaves as if she's above the law, disregards her own policies, and treats residents with hostility and suspicion. Her unprofessionalism is only matched by her blatant dishonesty. She made false accusations without evidence, directly confronted residents with bizarre claims (such as accusing me of stealing signs), and routinely exhibited behavior unbecoming of anyone in customer service--let alone a property manager. Bait-and-switch tactics are used here regularly. On move-in day, our upgraded unit was swapped for a subpar apartment that wasn't even ready. We were promised a professionally cleaned and fumigated space--instead, we were greeted with sticky appliances, cabinets covered in grime, an unhooked dryer triggering smoke alarms, and mold. The carpets, which management claimed were brand new, were later blamed for "excessive wear" and we were charged for them upon moving out--after only a year. Let's talk about fees and shady charges: We were double charged for renters insurance, hit with unexplained fees like a "UBI setup fee," and found out the property was under a class-action lawsuit for illegally charging utility fees--specifically for water when no individual meters even existed. When questioned about any of this, Jamie dismissed concerns, avoided accountability, and, in an incredibly inappropriate move, asked where I work and then openly mocked my job in management. To be clear: if Jamie worked under me, she wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes. This is a toxic work environment too--employees are visibly afraid of her. She allows her aggressive, uncontrolled dog to roam the leasing office, creating a threatening atmosphere. Residents are terrified to speak up because they've seen neighbors evicted with no notice, their belongings dumped on the street. Even basic maintenance is a joke. We had to beg for a drywall anchor to secure a dangerously loose sliding door lock--on a ground-floor unit, no less, which posed a real safety risk, especially for children. In short: this place is not just mismanaged, it's hostile, exploitative, and potentially dangerous. Living here was one of the most stressful experiences I've ever had. If you value your money, mental health, and legal rights--look elsewhere.
