*** update previous review*** I finally connected with Monique who said she would offer me $150 "from her side" because their finance department supposedly wouldn't approve any compensation because they WON the case. Yet she still required my credit card, clearly indicating this wasn't coming from her personally. She also admitted that she could have offered compensation that started at 5%, increasing to 10%, 15%, and even 20% up to over $600 till I was satisfied, but only if I didn't dispute with my cc. That's unethical. I was transparent about being overseas caring for my elderly mother, and told them I'd resolve it when I returned. Instead, I was met with resistance, unclear communication, and a company more concerned about protecting commission than delivering a quality customer experience. If you value transparency, fairness, or basic professionalism, stay far away. I've emailed customer service as suggested by Kim in response to my previous review to resolve the issue which I have done. Let's see if they contact me and do the right thing or prove this is their standard response window dressing without any intention of taking care of their customers. I ordered some blinds from a less expensive company, For this one room I wanted to see if I paid more at blinds-to-go if there would be a drastic improvement and it turned out that they actually were much worse. The valance for one of the blinds was too short, even though they came to measure beforehand. They did come back to replace it but that took another 3 weeks. The bottom of the blinds look unfinished with hanging threads throughout. I was promised a partial refund which was a lie - it never materialized. read more

We had a very underwhelming experience with Joy at the showroom this week. We had an idea of what we wanted, but were limited by the large size of our window. We chose some materials to get pricing, she gave us the wrong price first, about $80 less than the actual price. Then she didn't know the prices of the electric remote, guessing at the price without being sure. We had very little confidence of the product based on her presentation and conduct. She never introduced herself to us, and I had to ask for her business card upon leaving. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Buyer beware. Ordered house full of solar shades 7/2. Website advertised solar shades on sale AND buy one get one half off anniversary sale. Was told that was an error (yet it was on their website for weeks before and weeks after). They offered 10% off. At this point I had waited for samples to arrive and needed shades so I sucked it up and ordered them even though they had deceptive advertising. The phone rep was courteous and apologetic so I just dealt with it. 2-3 weeks later shades started arriving. Packaging was hideous- packed in boxes 6-10" too long with no padding for the extra space and shade only in a clear sleeve. Needless to say majority were busted and inoperable. They sent replacement ones after I sent photos and videos. Another 2-3 weeks replacement ones arrived. Packed same way with a wrap of bubble wrap around shade, in too big of box and no padding to fill space. Busted and not working, shades not even centered on the roller. I sent video opening every box and explained if they used proper sized boxes and padding the shades may make in working condition. Asked for refund as it had been over a month and I still have no window coverings for my home. That was denied I was promised the third batch would be perfect, management was overseeing. Third batch arrived now nearly 6 weeks after my order. Guess what, still not centered, still broken, still inoperable and packed poorly in boxes too big. I called a few days and asked for manager and was denied to speak with them. Was promised calls back that never happened. Thankfully even though rep promised to fix and call me back the same day a few days later after being denied to speak with rep they did email that they refunded me. Amount was not correct but after a couple emails they did resolve. This business is not ethical by advertising pricing and sales that do not exist. They are not competent to produce and pack shades to ship. Maybe store experience is different, but if you don't live near their store and they have to ship I would look elsewhere. read more

Ordering seemed to go well. When blinds were delivered the valances for my double hung windows were split instead of one long piece. I had to pay hundreds of dollars more for this. The installation was bumpy as well. Took 3 visits to get things to an acceptable level (several of the blinds were lopsided and had to be repaired). Once the new valances came in there were a few that were too wide even though they were professionally measured for installation inside the window frame. I was disappointed and told the manager/owner so. I put blinds on 35 windows in my new house. There should have been some compensation for my inconvenience. Customer service/satisfaction ended once the balance was paid in full. Would use Blinds to Go at another location in the future if need be. read more

Today was our third time visiting Blinds to Go in Lakewood to place an order and we were not disappointed! We were greeted immediately at the door by our Design Consultant Vinny Ballaccomo. Vinny could not have been any friendlier or more helpful. He looked up our previous purchases and we were able to reference just what we wanted to order. He waited patiently while my husband and I coordinated our calendars and figured out a good date and time for a measurement appointment. My estimate went up $500 (15%) after they measured my house and the measurements were exactly the same as my estimate. The manager Waqar told me "I have no idea why this happened, the system just tells us the price". It took 5 weeks to get that answer from him after the estimate. I sure wish I didn't even have to leave one star. Worst experience EVER with a company. Initial appt. with my designer went fine. Ordered blinds to be delivered and installed in a few weeks. Fast forward two weeks. Blinds were installed off center, 3 for my sunroom doors were cut too narrow, 5 were missing was told they were on back order. I found out almost a month later that they were never ordered. 4 were the wrong color, a color I never approved or even wanted. I was promised an upgrade or refund. I considered the upgrade but chose the refund after I could not get any answers as to what the upgrade would be. I was promised the refund for over a week, was told that it was processed. Never received the refund, all calls, texts, and emails were ignored by my designer Kristin. I put in a dispute with my bank and left a bad note on the survey they provided me. I was contacted by Kristin's manager, Edy, and was told she was going to help me. For a week or so she told me she would get back to me, she didn't. She was always to busy even after telling me she was available to help me. So many excuses since day one. She also seemed to not want to have an contact via text or email, only phone. I wonder if that's because she didn't want anything in writing. Needless to say my dispute with my bank is continuing and I expect to get my money back very soon. DO NOT USE THE LAKEWOOD, NJ STORE, OR THEIR SHOP AT HOME. JUST DON'T USE THIS COMPANY PERIOD!!! I had all vertical blinds installed throughout the whole house. Their installers DO NOT work for Blinds to Go. The installers are a third party. Their installers are not professional's. They have no idea what they are doing. There are so many holes in the walls from them putting the verticals in the wrong spot and having to redo them. So now I have to have a painter come to repair walls and paint, all out of my own pocket. They think because they gave me a two hundred dollar compensation, that everything is okay. The painters charge is WAY MORE then that. I know the company makes alot of money off of consumers. They should have compensated me half of my whole bill for all the damage. Best part, half the blinds in my home don't work. They have enough money to hire their own installers and not hire these third party installers that don't care. I will never recommend this company. Below in the pictures you will see the two different colors of paint. A thin piece of the wall was ripped off by the installer and the yellowish color was the old paint. read more

I was formerly a huge fan of Blinds to Go and for more than a decade, I completed my entire house with all types of beautifully made shades, high quality silhouettes, linen fabric panel tracks and black out (honeycomb) shades. I even referred Blinds to Go enthusiastically to my family and friends. I am sad to say that this is not the same company; product quality has dropped, and most neutral fabrics are simply not available. I feared that what I selected as an alternative might be inferior both in quality and value. I concluded that was a justifiable concern I must however commend my home consultant/ Kristin who was my designer/rep and quite knowledgeable/ supportive but unfortunately is out on leave. So, just prior to her leaving, an order was placed in Mid-August for two motorized shades for my master bedroom; their arrival exceeded a 6 week "rush" deadline by 4 weeks; I had also placed another larger order in mid Sept. for a slider and 7 windows. The company conceded when I called that they should have delegated and followed up on my pending order- to assure business continuity/ and customer service given my rep was on leave.(; customer service has proven to be severely lacking. Production turnaround times are nine plus weeks for even non-fabric vinyl polyester etc.); I had to resort to tracking my order and self-scheduling; the 800 number disconnects after 15 minutes of waiting and results in a fruitless exercise. This company is not the same due to supply chain, hiring issues, and inflation contributing to their deteriorating value proposition. the installer texted me the day before my appt. that he couldn't locate the shades. So, in addition to self-scheduling, now I had to waste more time to track the shades. I called the Lakewood store and a lovely service rep, wanted to help; this was followed up with another manager's call and installation was delayed to Nov 1. Once both shades were installed, the very cordial installer and I denoted that both black out shades still let light in from the sides and could have been better measured. The installer proceeded to set up the remote, but he ineptly programmed it. When I asked for a manual before the installer left that day, he replied that I should look it up on '"UTUBE". REALLY, and especially given the consideration of waiting all this time and the costly of motorization. No offer to provide a URL - just hit the search engines. It wasn't until hours later that I discovered that my shades were "stuck mid-way". Exhaustion at this point further compounded my frustration when I discovered that there is NO online tutorial for my remote series! Considering the cost of these shades and the ongoing levels of exasperation, I called the store and angrily expressed much of the above and requested a full refund on not just this order but my entire order as I can no longer entrust my business to Blinds to Go any further. A Credo is more than just words. I was promised that day that my complaint would be escalated to senior management for resolution. At this writing 6 days later, they are still stuck mid-way down the window and paper shades are taped to the bottom half of the shade to insure privacy. No FOLLOW UP yet which means either management was not apprised of the situation, or that they do not care! Note that I still have a slider and seven windows on backorder, (including 5 that are motorized). I have no reason to put any faith in a lifetime guarantee when this business can't even commit to any follow up on a very legitimate and reasonable customer service request generated 5 +days earlier. Imagine not receiving a a call back even with the threat of a large cancellation looming! So, if you are planning on doing business with Blinds to Go, you should assess the time that I have personally taken to mitigate you from the risk and angst that I have undertaken not mention that ongoing disappointment as a (former loyal) customer due to failed service levels. read more

The blinds were produced in a couple of days and are beautiful and high quality. We will get all our window dressings at Blinds to Go. I ordered faux wood blinds from Blinds to Go. The blinds were installed in my house and were covered in dirt and a sediment. I still don't understand why the installer would have left them like that and I have still not gotten any satisfaction from the Lakewood store. I have called and e-mailed them and sent photos. Went to the Lakewood location Saturday 3/4/17 with very bad guess of what sizes we needed for 3 windows. Doug gave me an estimate and we made an appointment for Wednesday for Mike W to come out and measure. We were way off but the estimate didn't do up too much. $60 total. I got a call within an hour to confirm my measurements and order, to which I changed my mind on one color. I got a call on Friday that the blinds were done. Called the installer and he came on Monday. 9 days total from my walking in with my guesstimate. Great salespeople, very helpful and installer was quick. read more

I placed my order over the phone with Tresor Shumusho and all went well. When the blinds arrived we had to use washers to extend out the bracket so the blind would fit because the blinds are 1 inch shorter then they said they would be. The valance does not fit either. When I called to complain he continually says that we measured wrong & even though the email I confirmed said 38 3/4 but the blind is only 37 3/4. It looks silly. We were told that blinds need to be measured by professional installer. If something does not fit right, they will be replaced by Blinds To Go. They gave us the list of installers. "Graig's Installation Services" measured our windows. Blinds do not fit. The store refuses to change them. They told us we need to prove to installer that they do not fit and installer will need to pay for the new blinds. This is not what we were told when we bought blinds.
