I have been getting my blinds from Blinds To Go for years from various locations in the area. The reason that Blind To Go is my "to go" place for my home decorating needs because I like their selections and they always try to keep up to the newest offering in the market. Price wise of course is one of the reason. We did some price comparison with a few other window covering providers both independent, big box or even internet, Blinds To Go pricing always been the most competitive. And of course able to view the exact products, trying out the mechanic and see the exact colour also make my shopping experience much better. The staff here is always really knowledgeable and patience with helpful recommendations. I had Cheena Cottrell as my designer and this is the second time I have requested her for blind and Roman shade installation. She is professional and very knowledgeable. She has a real gift with colors, and understands how the home has to flow together. She is very thorough and explains everything and all the choices. 5 stars for sure. read more

Update from my last post: This is what happened after a year of installation. The entire blinds and metal bar fell on my tenant's shoulder and eye!!! The guy who installed this was so sloppy and unprofessional - I should have sent a complaint, but decided not to as I had already gone through so much issues from the day I stepped into that store...this is just unacceptable. read more

The worst shopping experience of my life. The first was terrible but I chalked it up to bad luck and gave them another try. The store is understaffed and they rush you. The joke is that the installers are all independent contractors. The store only wants to make the sale and doesn't care if you ever get the blind up. The installers don't show (I took two different days off work neither of which did Keith show up), they don't return calls and it's brutal. Utterly and horrifically brutal. This was our 2nd time (and 2nd house) using blinds to go (and this particular location). Both times, we had excellent in-store and installation service, and the blinds were ready very quickly. We just got the most basic type of blinds, but they served us very well. Furthermore, when one of our blinds broke off just as we preparing to sell our house (which 6 years after we had purchased the blinds), "Blinds to Go" gave us the part to fix it for free, and it was really easy for us to fix ourselves! The gentleman who installed the blinds (associated with blinds to go) was absolutely awesome! (His name is Peter Kuryliw). He was punctual, quick, efficient, and very neat. It was obvious that he was very experienced and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that the blinds we ordered this time ended up looking off-white rather than white. The salesperson did tell us that the metal blinds would look more off-white than the plastic blinds, but we didn't realize how it would look until after they were installed. Outside of this, we have had excellent experiences with "Blinds to Go," and would highly recommend this store to anybody. read more

Worst experience of my life . I had my blinds installed on the 4th of April . The installer that came was named Aaron . He had measured wrong on my solarium blinds but put them up anyway . In the process of doing so broke one of my collector's plates - broke an ornament that I had - and never even offered to pay for them . He left in such a hurry that he never even gave me time to check out the blinds . The following day I phoned my in home consultant and told him the blinds were not wide enough . From then on I have been waiting for another installer by the name of Robert to come to do a new measurement and to bring new tracks . I am told every day by my consultant that Robert is coming - and until now has never showed . It is now the 21st . of April . The installers are very bad at what they do - they do not even return calls . Will never shop there again - very bad service . read more

This location surprised me. I was served very quickly, and the sales associate was patient with me, answering all of my questions and providing various quotes to me. When I decided on the blinds I wanted, I was shocked that they were ready for pick up as soon as they were (about a couple of days). When I was installing the blinds myself, I realized the cords were too long (they were touching the floor). I quickly called the store and they told me to bring back the blinds. I thought that I would have to wait for the blinds to be sent back to the manufacturer, but I was surprised when the staff advised me that they would be able to fix the problem immediately in-store! I was very impressed with the service, friendliness, and overall professionalism with the staff and store. If the cords were not too long, this would have been a 5 star experience. Regardless, I would definitely refer family and friends to this location. read more

Less than thrilled when one of the two blinds I ordered had a manufacturing error. The pattern in the fabric on the valance went the wrong way - a mistake that could have been easily caught with a little quality assurance check, wouldn't you think? of course, this necessitated two more trips to the store, and a delay of several days. read more

I would not purchase from Blinds to Go in the future. For a store that specializes in only blinds, they should be able to do a much better job of advising customers on installation or at least provide appropriate templates. I have installed blinds many times and this is the first time I have run into problems. I am also unhappy with the way the mechanism works, very noisy and chatters, does not run smoothly. read more
