After a recent trip to Canada, I've been kind of super obsessed with some Canadian brands and want to hoard some more - there was one designer (Sunja Link) that I really fell in love with, but her new pieces are always out of stock or sold out completely within days! Still Life came to the rescue when they had a certain item in a different color that I was eyeing on, so I snagged it. They were also having some great sales, so I was able to purchase a winter jacket (OSC) as well! I also love that you can count on the fact that the pieces that you receive will be of high quality and made extremely well. I loved the super great deals, the semi-quick shipping (there was a little snafu in terms of getting the package to me, but I just need to request a signature authorization the next time), the careful shipment/packaging, as well as the great customer service follow-up (a representative actually reached out see if I received my order and if everything was of perfect quality!). After an…read moreafternoon shopping and not finding anything, I walked into this shop and I was very hopeful because everything looked really cute from the get-go. I was looking to buy a few new items. I am also very cognizant that we are in a global pandemic and I have been sanitizing my hands and wearing a mask consistently. I do have an autoimmune issue, so I am aware. I am not the type of person who ignores public health mandates, but I was just so excited to be in this store I didn't see the hand sanitizer to the right as I walked in. AS soon as I started looking, like maybe I had been in the shop for about 5 seconds, this lady storms over to me and loudly demands I use the sanitizer. It was just so abrupt and really rude and embarrassing, I couldn't even respond. Her tone was so off-putting and made me feel like I was absolute trash. I worked in boutiques in New York for years in my 20s and waited tables as a college student and as a graduate student. I never spoke to people like this. Ever. It was clear to me by her really abrasive attitude that I didn't belong in that store so I sanitized my hands and left literally in tears.

I think there is something for everyone because my sisters and I are all completely different people, but we were able to find something for each of us. The owner is also a sweet lady who loves to help and obviously has great fashion sense. I can't wait to come back here with my sisters so we can shop up a storm at this fantastic place.

I found another clothing store I loved, but had terrible staff that were not helpful so I really appreciated how this place was staffed. They had lots of other cute stuff I almost got but I'm picky about fabrics and prefer natural stuff or used since I'm very eco-friendly and don't like adding to the micro plastic pollution to our landfills and waters.

The gentleman working was happy to give feedback and picked out some nice pieces while speaking about the quality of items they bring in. Most of the items are either made local or sweatshop free in the USA. This is the kind of quality I want to spend money on and is generally a deciding factor when I make any purchase. I also wanted to speak about the simplicity of the decor and layout of the shop. Great merchandising as it really draws the eye in. They also sell some quality accessories including footwear, bags, ties and sunglasses. We will certainly be back when we visit the island again.

There were shoes and boots along one wall next to shelves with hats, many styles of hats. Plenty of dresses, skirts, jeans, t-shirts and I could keep going.
