I never heard anything and when I finally called for the third time, they said the part was in, but they were scheduling now three weeks out. Mind you this was November and I had no heat source in my apartment. Three weeks later they came out and replaced the part and left. I came back a few hours later and my apartment was filled with the smell of gas. With my two animals locked inside the home. I immediately called them and turned the gas off and requested that they come out right away. They came out that day, but told me next time I needed to contact the gas company not them.. It turns out that they didn't check for leaks before they left after putting in the new part and there were several leaks in the new part that they had replaced. Their work vehicle also hit and damaged my vehicle in the parking lot and they denied responsibility. I highly do not recommend letting these people into your home and trusting them to service you correctly and be honest.

I learned here after the misdiagnosed part that I had to pay for, that it could be something else that costs double of the original quote. I'll never get an appliance repaired again. It's far cheaper and LESS STRESSFUL to either find something similar on Craigslist for about the same amount of money or buy new if you can afford it. Just don't bother getting an appliance repaired unless you absolutely must. If this is the case I'd recommend the only appliance store in town (on Owens Street) before some independent outfit who's not able to get a good deal should you need to replace instead of repair. I really wanted to recommend John and Absolute Comfort but unfortunately I cannot. Around September…read moreof 2018 we had John do a complete install; this included a forced air furnace, ducting, and a gas line. This was a completely new install, prior to this our house only had in-wall electric heaters. We received at least 5 quotes and everybody was within $500 of each other. Besides the difference in the brand of units people would install, John was the only who called me back eager to work. On top of being eager to work he was very personable and Absolute Comfort was a local small business. Our quote was approximately $7500 for the complete install. John got right to work. The install took about a week and things looked great initially when he was done. A couple days after he was finished my furnace starts throwing a code signifying that the heat exchanger is over heating and locked us out. Called John (he was a little hard to get a hold of but it was the busy season) and he said we should replace the sensor but would have to wait for the sensor to arrive. We were going to be gone when he said he would replace it. I gave him a key to let himself in. We came back from our trip and he had not fixed the unit. We had to wait a few more days. Not a big deal but he should have let us known that he was unable to fix it when he told us. Sensor was finally replaced. Furnace still acted a little funny but straightened out. This past week we had company and I turned our thermostat up to 68° Mind you we keep our house at 65°. With the extra load on the furnace it threw the same code. The furnace would not run more than 10 minutes without the heat exchanger over heating. Called John, left a message and he still has not called me back. Instead of this being the furnace I began to look closely at his install and started to notice a number of flaws with it. I scoured through the manual and found several things. First off, the intake for the furnace was mounted in the wrong spot. I can over look that, but he didn't notice it when he replaced the sensor or when he initially installed the unit. Second, I looked at the vents and noticed 3 of them had major air leaks letting a large portion of my hot air into the attic. Third, the main air duct (which is solid sheet metal) did not have the seams sealed. Normally you would use duct sealant or even tape at the minimum. Fourth, some of the flexible ducts are at such a sharp angle they are restricting airflow into the room (kind of like kinking a hose). The ducts should have been hung with metal strapping to prevent sharp turns. Lastly, the thermostat is in a bad spot. That area of the house only warms up if the master bedroom is open. The misplacment of the intake and sharp turns in the ducting are what I believe caused the over heating of the heat exchanger. I can overlook some of these flaws, but John was nowhere to be found when I needed him. I don't spend $7500 for a halfway done job that I need to correct myself. I paid that much so I would have a warranty, quality install, and customer service. Absolute Comfort has failed on all 3 points. They may be good for simple repairs, but for expensive installs, look elsewhere folks.

It took a few days to get the quote but then he completed the job within a week. That timeframe worked for us since we had not moved in and had other repairs being made. After the job was finished Kolby came out and explained what he did and showed us how to work the shut off valve. He was easy to work with and completed the job as promised. I would use Basin Plumbing for other plumbing jobs.

His work has suffered drastically over the years. I would not recommend him to anyone. He is not reliable nor continuing the wonderful, consistent, honest quality of work that Bob built our reputation on and which Bob taught him from start to finish (when he came to us with no skills whatsoever). He is not RHEEM or RUUD qualified or trained and his installation skills which he did not participate much while with us are sadly lacking. He has no installation know how, doesn't understand the technical aspects and his guesses have been disastrous. After he was sent out to find his own way he came back to ask Bob to teach him how to do an installation. He has neglected many of the legal aspects such as getting the necessary licenses, electrical, plumbing, boiler or continuing education necessary to complete any even simple installation. He has built his business on our reputation and sweat without doing the work necessary to guarantee that what he does is right and legal and to treat the customers he took from us with the respect that they deserve. When you care more about making money than about doing the job that the customers deserve for calling you in the first place, you are doing everyone a great disservice. We have been here for 42 years because Bob cares more about his reputation than about how much money he can make. Dwayne unfortunately has forgotten what made the business he tells people he bought and didn't, so successful with such faithful customers that we have. While we wished him well in his endeavors upon his leaving, we also are hoping that he takes some classes and takes his business seriously with more than taking money for retirement in mind. We still wish him well and hope that he takes stock to remember what Bob taught him.
