AAA was sent by my home warranty company, Select Home Warranty, to inspect my AC when it stopped cooling. The technician was in and out quickly, claimed there was an unrepairable freon leak, and said he'd send his report to the warranty company. He never used any leak-detection tools, didn't test system pressures, didn't do a dye or bubble test, and never opened the unit there were no visible signs of a leak at all. Despite this, his report voided my warranty coverage. I called AAA for clarification and never got a call back. I later paid Kennedy Fuel for a second opinion; they found no freon leak, only that the system was old and inefficient. AAA took the service fee, provided no proof, and never followed up. In my opinion, DO NOT use Absolute Air Authority- Heating & Air! They are charging a hidden fee that was never agreed to or in writing, no contract signed, sent a representative to my home to collect payment! NO work was done, ONLY supposedly a FREE quote!!! My home warranty company had them listed, and only reason we went to get a FREE quote! Now they threatened to send us to COLLECTIONS tomorrow! We are done with this HARASSMENT!! After installing my Air handler in the attic they destroyed my ladder I loaned them. then broke the light switch in my attic and tried to hide it .Them I had my cesiling collapse because they damaged the drain pan and the owner refused to speak to me or take any responsibility for their action and unprofessional service. Horrible customer service! They can't even return phone calls! I will NEVER use them!

We had them replace our HVAC unit after the tried to fix it. All was going well until the afternoon of the replacement. Once done they told us that the old unit was a 15amp and the new one a 20amp. That we couldn't run our AC for risk of fire hazard and it was out of code. They called Pacific Electrical to get us a quote. Were we quoted $466 for changing of wires and switch to 20amp on are breaker. This was additional cost from the quote.Pacific said they might be able to squeeze us in 4 days or it would be two more weeks. I called a different electrician( Infinity Electrical Contractors) that could get out there the next day. When they showed up they said the wiring was sufficient and up to code and switched our breaker to a 20am. They were done in 20 minutes and less than $100. Makes me wonder if there working together to charge customers for service not needed. Pacific Electrical didn't come out to the house and were going by what Brian from Absolute Air was telling them. So maybe when they got there they would of done the same.But still raises questions. Back to Absolute Air. I asked them what could be done for the additional cost that wasn't quoted. They said that they already quoted it cheap and asked us to work together. I said I would pay for the electrical work and asked for 2 annual maintenance services. I felt this was fair and wouldn't cost them anything out of pocket other than time for the oversight on there quote. Brian admitted to the oversight on his quote. The Absolute Air technician. I got a call from Carla at Absolute Air saying they wern't going to do anything. So watch out and when they say they want to work together don't buy into that. **BEWARE** Our home warranty sent these guys out on November 24th. The tech that came out said the part that we needed had to be ordered and, due to his schedule, would not be received and installed until Friday, December 1st. Friday came and we had yet to hear from them. I called and left a message, letting them know I hadn't heard anything and wanted to check the status of our part and installation. After a few hours, a young lady returned my call and informed me that the tech they had originally assigned to our job had been let go and the part was never actually ordered. They also stated that the part he was supposed to order didn't even go to our unit so they would need to come out and inspect our HVAC again. We were told that, once it was determined what we actually needed, they would expedite the order. The new tech came out that day and happened to bring with him the part the original tech said our unit needed (the part we were told didn't actually get ordered). The tech installed it and then, after it didn't work, determined a different part was needed as originally stated by the young lady earlier that day. He said that he would get the new part ordered and it would take a few days. Fast forward to December 4th - I called the office to check the status and was immediately told they were ordering the part and it would be in within the next 5 business days. I let them know that it was unacceptable and needed them to expedite the process because we had already been waiting AND that we were told that they would have already ordered the part. Thankfully, they found the part locally and were able to install it the following morning (12/5). The tech came first thing on 12/5 and he began to install the new motor. While installing the motor, my husband noticed the tech was trying to use incorrect brackets necessary to safely and adequately mount it. The tech was just going to screw 3 chintzy, incorrect brackets directly into the housing, instead of ordering the correct brackets. My husband asked that the tech order the correct brackets, as we would prefer to have it fixed correctly. The tech stated that it would take a day to receive to correct brackets. After about an hour, the tech contacted us back, stating that he was able to get the needed brackets and would be back out to finish the install. When he came back out, he installed the new motor. When he turned the unit on, it immediately wobbled itself loose and destroyed the wheel. Come to find out (according to Jaime who works in AAA office), they had yet to order the correct brackets. So, we're not sure what brackets the tech used to mount the motor, but we assume he just used the three that he was planning to use to begin with. Sadly, this caused severe damage to the wheel and now required them to order the correct brackets (which they should have ordered in the first place) and a new wheel. Jaime assured us that they would expedite the order and would install the same day it comes in. Now it's December 8th. This morning, I called the office to check the status of our new parts. Jaime returned my call and stated that they couldn't come out until tomorrow. I reminded her of the commitment she made and asked her to treat this as an emergency, considering we have been without heat for weeks. She agreed and sent a text out. The tech that came out this time was clearly BRAND NEW. His tools were still in their packaging from the store. He made it clear that he was not certified, nor did he know what he was doing. He attempted to install the new parts but realized the previous tech took all of the bolts. While he went to buy new bolts, we researched to see what all was needed for the assembly. Not only were bolts missing, there were other brackets necessary for proper assembly. When he returned, we asked if he had all the parts necessary, and he said "no" and would need to order them. Sadly, during his attempt at installation, he also jammed the new motor into the new wheel incorrectly, which caused them to fuse together. By this point, we were so over the incompetence of this company, we asked our home warranty to assign a new HVAC contractor because these guys are a joke! read more

Initially I was having issues with our gas furnace last winter when we had all that snow. I called my bike warranty place and they sent out some folks who really didn't do much to solve my problem of no heat. They stated that they couldn't find anything wrong but if the problem persists call then back and they'd replace the thermostat for whatever reason? I called our home warranty company again repeated issues and this time they sent AAA HVAC. I was impressed with the skill and knowledge of the tech. It was a simple cut off switch that disabled the main blower when the access panel came away-a safety feature of sorts. He sidi replaced the thermostat for a much better one. In talking with the tech I happen to also purchase a non warranty service to have them come check both my heating and cooling. Almost 6 months later I finally called to get my heater inspected and they replaced an old worn capacitor and a clean bill of health for the unit. A few weeks later i was having a similar heating issue-the draft can would engage by the ignitor wouldn't ignore the gas? I once again called then and Cory came out to look at it. We both trouble shot the system and it was determined the thermostat setting (auto circulate) I was using wasn't compatible to the unit. In this particular instance, it was a total time of about an hour from calling to when Cory left. Very impressed with their flexibly and sense of urgency. If I have work outside of warranty stuff, I'd definitely use these guys again. Carla who took my calls and followed up with emails was great too! read more

Half of the ducting in my manufactured home stopped recently. I know very little about this so I called around. AAA actually answered their phone and said they would send someone out. Brian came out later that day, crawled under the house and discovered that my ducting had water in it which had prevented it from allowing air to flow. He told me what the problem was, what the solution was and I agreed to have the work done. He came back out a few days later and in one visit, replaced the ducting, and fixed the problem with the leaking from the air conditioner that had caused the problem. Brian was a pro, did exactly what he said he would do and now I have a great flow in all of my air vents. All at a fair price. It sure is nice to know heating/air conditioning doctors. read more

This is the worst service we have ever had. One of their techs came and put in a brand new unit. He never tested the unit like he said he did, If he did he would have know the AC part did not work, this was in march. However the heat does. They were subcontracted by a home insurance plan we have. We called Carla, the owner of absolute air authority and left four days of messages plus email with no response. After a week and a half of this I finally got a response from the company and they made an order for a tech to come out. Our appointment was at 3pm. At 6 pm, the tech Jason finally showed up. He told me that someone from the office was suppose to call. He immediately went into a rant about how he had to drive his own truck and use his own tools. He complained about the tread on his tires and stated that, " I don't really care because I won't be at the company after today. Carla needs me to change her compressor at her house and I am taking my kids camping". He then took his shirt off which I had issue with. I have a picture of this. After two hours of "working", because he didn't have the tools he needed he came to the conclusion that the freon is leaking and we do not have any freon in the unit, and the compressor was bad. I called Carla a week later to ask when this will be fixed because I know the home owners insurance approved the fix. Braylin, an office worker said that Jason no longer worked there and gave them no report. She said they will get back with me. Well I knew that was not going to happen with the previous experience I had with them weeks before. I waited anyway and waited and waited. After many calls from me and emails again, Carla text me, couldn't even picked up the phone. Carla stated, " we don't even service Roseburg area and she is sending the order back to the home insurance company." Carla, who is the owner is conducting a very unprofessional business,and played the blame game amongst who was suppose to do what in the office about getting back to me. If there was a no star option, they would have received that from me. I do not recommend ABSLOUTE AIR AUTHORITY under the worst of circumstances. All I can say in dealing with them is INCREDIOUS !!! One star is too much for this company. I called first American home warranty about our heat pump because it was blowing fuses. They set us up with Absolute Air Authority but I never got a call from them. I finally called them after a week and no answer. Hours later they call me and said they would come out the next day. I had my husband get the morning off from work so he could explain to the guy what was wrong (since we knew exactly what was wrong). The guy came out hours late, in an unmarked Texas plated car, and handed my husband a business card with clippings of weed on it. Classy. he demonstrated how deaf he was by taking out his hearing aid and screaming on the top of his lungs in our neighborhood next to our neighbor who drives trucks all night. Then he proceeded to take apart our heat pump neglecting what my husband was telling him what was wrong. He then told us that he would put it in words "that even you can understand" (to my husband) he continued to degrade me because i obviously don't know anything. He ended up leaving, didn't even put the heat pump back together. Weeks later I get a call from him saying that he was late to our appointment..... I never set up an appointment. I told him I was at work and no one told me about an appointment. He said that wasn't his problem. He said that the visit was going to cost an extra 200$. That wasn't part of the warranty. He kept trying to sell us a heating coil for 900$. No. Sorry don't have the money to do that. I get a call a week later saying that they made an appointment for me and they are coming out the next morning. I told her no I work tomorrow you need to stop making appointments without telling me. I told her to forget it and we are going with someone else. That's when she hung up on me. What a complete joke of a company. read more
