He asked if there was something I was looking for. I asked him about incense. He gave me directions to the back. There was so much to see! There were Frisbee/discs. There were skating accessories. As you make your way back the vibe becomes calmer. The crystals, incense, gifts, witchy things galore. I was able to find the incense and made my selections. Made my way back to the front of the store. Made some small talk with the gentleman and headed out. I want to go back and take a look at more. There is a lot going on here. The price was right and I will be back.

Selection of "spiritual" books is very slim, and occupies a very cramped area of an low-ceiling upstairs. You can find all of this kind of product cheaper online. In a big city, a gift shop like this can work, but the selection of gifts are usually much bigger better and more original. I felt like I was visiting a 1985 bookstore. I have been doing business with The Haunted Bookshop since they moved into their current building. Each time, whether in person, via email, or online, has been a pleasure. The email option fits me personally, although I do enjoy browsing the Iowa History section of the shop when I can make it to the county seat. The selection of marvelous stones, fossils and crystals in her shop is wonderful. Her willingness to share and help the client grow is even more appealing.
