My first session today was about 2 hours long. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and offered tea. I felt right away that I was in good hands. Her work space is downstairs and it's a calming space. Prior to my appointment I filled out an intake form and returned it promptly. In my experience, most professionals don't even look at the forms I hand in or if they do, it's brief. That was not the sense that I got today. She reviewed the forms, asked me follow up questions, and probed deeper for information. I like how she explains as she goes and paused to make sure I was still following. She has a really comfortable table for reiki. After, we went over a few more items, she gave me some homework and an affirmation to take with me. I am a self-help, goal-oriented junkie and on my quest for health & wellness, todays experience is at the top. I LOVED it! I am familiar with the Reiki scene in Des Moines. I have never gotten a massage from here but I have gotten my nails done by both Brandi and Patti (nail technicians) and they both did an amazing job each time I have gotten my nails done. You pay for what you get at this salon, so some things might be a little more pricey than at other salons but they are worth it in the end if you want the products that will give you better results and of better quality.
