The color I picked wasn't available, so I picked the next best thing and was looking for "shimmery white." The polish looked white in the bottle but was actually more gold on the toes which is not at all what I wanted. The tech did not wipe down the nails before the gel after the "massage" portion (which was barely done) so I think they are going to lift from the leftover oil. The application itself is messy and uneven, and there was polish on my actual toes. He also kept bumping my big toes with the gel light so there are marks from that. Enchanted caught me hook, line, and sinker! The team here has a true and steady local following, and now I know why firsthand. Chin believes only in soaking off the existing nails and will not hurry the visit by using the grinder most places use. He explained to me that it wears away at the strength of my natural nail and that I should insist my nail salon back home takes the time to soak off my nails. With that being said, Chin took great care in getting my very damaged and very short nails back to looking really nice, and we agreed only one tip for a nail that I had bit off so short it was painful. An chimed in on the color selection, and the two of them got me to a beautiful shade of champagne. As I sat in their salon, I lost sight of the fact that I was right off Eastern Avenue. The atmosphere is tranquil and very relaxing. Good conversation was shared between the owners, another team member, and two regulars of theirs who were super pleasant. In fact, An was kind enough to text me that they were running a little behind for my appointment and also mentioned to look for the blue awning off of Ann Street. One for pedicure and one for dip nails with 2 separate people because the nail lady does not give a good pedicure. She does no massage. Basic pedicure gets dry skin scrub and does at least a little massage. The nail lady got mad I didn't want her to do both and they started talking about me at the front desk in their language but you could tell they were talking about me. The one lady said to me I need to do both with one person. I explained why I booked that way and said if I need to have both with the same person, I need her to be told to do massage or I don't want her. They agreed and then she didn't do She was rude and even my 21 year old daughter said to me why is she acting like that towards you. I said because I asked for someone else to do my pedicure and she is mad about it. She said, if she wants you to choose her, she should do what you are supposed to get. Then, they were out of what I chose and she tried to talk me into something else because she didn't want to do a French manicure on me. The basic design she said she could do on the ring finger, she did wrong twice. I asked her to get the example and she said I'll just do it. So, when I told her fine, you can continue to try until you get it right, she got up to go get the example. When I checked out, the were giving out a free hand lotion. The had at least 25 or more on the counter. I said did you give one to my daughter, I know she would love one. He said it's one per paying customer! If you have two separate people who got their nails done, that's 2 customers. Just because I paid doesn't mean there are not two paying customers! I said if I had paid for them separately, would she have gotten one? This is not the first time I have had frustration with them. As much as they charge for basic services they should at least give good customer service! Any recommendations for a new nail place in Perry Hall!
