Wow! They did a GREAT job on my feet! I think I wear a half size smaller with all the stuff she scraped off my heels. It was embarrassing at first but lovely in the end. She didn't particularly care for my color choices but I don't put a great deal of thought into it. I suppose if I felt like checking the selections longer I may have found something I liked better but nothing jumped right out at me. I don't live in Albany but I always come here because you can get in and out without waiting most of the time though there was a full house today. I asked for original white tip acrylic finger nails. I'm not pleased at all with the end results. I asked for all white on my toe nails. Still, not pleased. In the end they charged me $74 for gel on my fingers and regular polish on my toes. Usually I pay $75 for gel nails on both toes and fingers so I believe I was ripped off. Went here today with my grandma and met Katie. 5/5 stars for Katie every single time. My grandma was very unhappy about your nails from a different salon and Katie identified the problem and fixed it with ease. She was gentle and kind with my grandmother. Her small talk was comforting and made my grandma feel very wanted. I had my nails done by another tech and wasn't pleased. I came back and Katie fixed my nails. I am BEYOND happy. This nail salon is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a quality job. Ask for Katie, but she might be booked because she's SO amazing. read more

Got Charged $85 for this, asked consistently for another color and my nail tech refused to do the color that I wanted. Instead he told me what he wanted to do. Went in to have lash and brow services done an hour after they opened. The lady informed me that the lady who does the lashes ran to the bank and to come back in an hour. I leave and come back exactly an hour requesting the same service. The guy tell me the person who does that is off today. . I had no problem with this, the only problem I had, I was not told this the first time. It's obvious, communication issues amongst staff members sucks. Please get it together folks because I'm sure this has happened to someone else, but for me, I've taken my business somewhere else. read more

Went in for a dip polish change with a 1:00 appointment. Immediately, I was sat down to soak my current polish off. Was not asked to pick out a color. I was ignored for an hour with no one coming to check the progression of the soak. Clients were seen ahead of me with appointments scheduled after mine. Very unimpressed! Went there with my friend to get pedicures. We could see they were busy so we decided to leave. One of the nail techs followed us outside to tell us to come back in because there were 2 places for us to get our pedicures right then. Soooo...we went in and took a seat in the chairs--ONLY to have one tech come and do my friend's pedi while I sat there waiting...and waiting...and waiting...so long they my friend's pedi was almost done and I was STILL waiting! Finally I just got fed up and said forget it. I'll get my pedi when I get back to Atlanta. Clearly the gal was not telling the truth when she said they could do us both "now". She just wanted to ensure that we wouldn't go elsewhere. I will be sure not to come back here whenever I'm in town and want a pedi date with my friend! After reading reviews on the local nail salons, this would definitely be one of the last places I would ever choose to go. read more

They do not deserve not even a star. I entered the salon at 9:03 am I sign in,it really wasn't that busy. I really had my mind set on getting my nails done. Everyone else that walked in was getting services and that made me feel uncomfortable I didn't like that one bit. I left at 9:57am because I did not get any help. First time coming in to get my nails done. I had a young guy give me a gel manicure and I was unhappy with the results. He couldn't even file my nails straight and I had to keep telling him to redo my nails through my stressful session. Nevertheless, I still gave a small tip. I love this place....but so does everyone else in Albany. It stays busy on most evenings, sometimes I've been there for almost 2 hours just for a pedi (not waiting, they'd give me a seat and let me soak until the water went cold and they had to heat it up again). However....they offer FREE WINE and water while you relax and get pampered. Although, after 2 glasses of wine I forget how much time I've spent there. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. It's a nice salon, very clean. One thing was that I would make an appt for the early morning, and still be waiting a long time before my nails were completed! Time management is important but if your going to handle appts and walkins you have to do it right. On the plus side! My nails looked great and lasted a while. Only reason I'm knocking a star off is because of the most expensive pedicure I have ever paid for in my life. I didn't ask how much extra gel polish would be before hand but I certainly should have. $56 for a pedicure is what my total came to be, but my full set of acrylic nails (mind you, also with gel polish) was only $35 but apparently the gel polish was "an extra $20." Never heard of gel polish ever costing THAT much extra. Other than that the service was wonderful and both my nails and toenails look fabulous and I was taken care of in a timely manner. read more

I went there on Sunday and I had to wait an hour to get my feet and finger nails done. My toe nails look like crap, there's a line on my big toe. With my finger nails they rushed and did not even cut my nails before putting on the nails. The workers were friendly but they rushed the whole time. read more

I went in yesterday and asked TWICE specifically for a set of gel nails and made it very clear that I did not want acrylic. I specifically told the tech I DID NOT want acrylic when I saw him go to put a brush in powder. I was told that it was a "different gel powder". I went home and researched and even went to another salon and they said that I had acrylic on my nails. What I ended up with was acrylic nails with a coat of gel polish. I was charged for gel nails but got acrylic. Stay away from this salon, they are not honest. I will be going back and asking for a full refund and for them to remove the acrylic. I've gone to Bliss a few times in the past several years and it just keeps getting worse and worse. They are not professional or personable. *Update* I went in this morning 2/9 around 9:30am (not even a full 24 hours after my nails had been done)and asked for removal of the acrylic and a refund because I was flat out lied to. The owner refused and accused me of getting my nails done to go out partying and wanting a refund after I had gone out "partying". She also got loud and extremely rude with me. I am currently waiting at another salon where I've already been told by the nail techs that what Bliss did was in fact put acrylic on and pass it off as gel nails just because they applied a gel polish on top. So now I have to pay even more money to get my nails done the way they should have been done to begin with. Stay away from Bliss if you want true gel nails. read more

Probably my favorite place to get my nails done in Albany. Calvin does a great job for acrylics, and there are a few folks I trust for pedicures--I have ingrowns--and a couple of ladies who do a great job giving gel manicures. I tried other salons and I keep going back to this place. read more
