It's been over a decade since I had my hair cut and professionally colored because I was told previously that they didn't know what to do with my hair and just cut my bangs. I had a lot of hair loss after my last pregnancy and so this was incredibly disheartening and made me fearful of being turned away again. Well, after a lot of encouragement from my husband to try again I tried Bliss. My stylist was Melissa and she was absolutely great, she was upset that no one wanted to cut my hair in town and took care of me. She made suggestions to help me make a good decision on my cut and color and what she would recommend for my future hair. I am incredibly grateful and will follow her advice. Just had my first pedi here today. I absolutely loved it! First, it's a nice place. Cheaper places tend to work in volume. The faster they work, the faster they get on to the next person. So you feel very rushed! And many of these type of salons make me worry about hygiene. If they can't clean the spots I can see, are they really cleaning the parts I can't??!! Not so here. Everything is nice and clean. Secondly, the massage chairs are wonderful, with different levels of massage and intensity. I was offered coffee, tea or water. You have your choice of a regular pedi for $24 or the spa pedi for $42. I chose the spa pedi that includes sea salt, a pomegranate wrap and massage. Totally worth it. They had a nice choice of colors to choose from. It was SO relaxing. Love how my tootsies turned out. For $5, they can add art work with sparkles. There are two chairs in the spa area, so next time I'm taking a girlfriend or my mom for a nice mani-pedi afternoon. I highly recommend. read more

CLOSED September 2016. :( I loved this place; the stylists were always so nice and made you feel welcomed. Also, the hand massage during the hair washing step was the best. I never had a bad experience here and I'm sad to see they're closed. read more

I just had a haircut at with Lola. This is a fabulous salon with great service. I would highly recommend it. My mom got a pedicure and it was also one of the best she has had. It's worth the drive to Monticello even if it's a bit of a drive or out of your way. read more

It was a rocky start. Getting my hair cut and highlighted for the 3rd time in 6 months Seemed know one was listening and just doing what they wanted. Leigh did a great job explaining what the process was going to be. In the end I finally had my hair cut the way I wanted. Loved how soft my hair felt after highlighting. The hand massage and hot towel helped take away the stress of the day. Can't wait to get a pedicure. read more

Established in 2017.

Bliss was established February 13th, 2017. 109 Walnut was purchased by Erika Fisher February 10th, 2017. The salon itself has been a salon for over 40 years! Before becoming a salon it was once an Ophthalmologist. 109 Walnut was built in 1950.

Meet the Business Owner: Erika F.

Erika Fisher has owned Bliss Salon since Feb 2017. Erika has been a stylist since 2012 and works full time behind the chair. Erika manages the salon and 7 independent stylists. Member of the Monticello Chamber of Commerce since 2017 and previous member of the Monticello Chamber of Commerce from 2018-2021 where she also held the position of Chair from 2020-2022.

My daughters and I LOVE Bliss Salon. Everyone at Bliss goes out of their way to provide the best service possible. From the scheduling to the nail technicians to the stylists, Bliss provides friendly, professional service with added perks like a candy treasure box for the littles and complimentary hand massages. My young girls LOVE going to Bliss to be pampered and have their hair cut. I LOVE the very reasonable prices and most of all, the WONDERFUL staff! Bliss Salon is such a refreshing change for Monticello. I love the atmosphere, the special treatment received even when just getting a haircut. You feel like you are at the spa without the hefty price tag. The staff is always upbeat and friendly making you feel at 'home', comfortable. I've had the best luck with hairstylists, they are truly top notch.
