However, I expected a professional-level pedicure for $115, and the tools used to remove callused skin from my heels were treated with what looked like a basic nail file rather than appropriate pedicure or heel-exfoliation tools, and the results reflected that. Also polish wasn't applied professionally (not enough on one toe and a few other cuticle beds flooded). For this price point, I expect professional-grade equipment and noticeably smoother results. This was my first visit to Bliss and I was not disappointed!! We were greeted by the lovely front staff and got a tour of the facilities before we were given our paperwork for our massage. We booked in for a 90 minutes couples massage. We were given sandals and a locker to store our things in. The locker also had a very luxurious robe and a towel for our personal use. The locker rooms were clean but the steam shower did not drain properly and I could visibly see someone's hair left in the shower drain. It was kinda gross but thankfully I had the sandals to give me peace of mind and not step on anything. The steam shower in the men's room was not working (said my husband) so he did not get to enjoy that part of the experience. We did spend a bit of time in the caldarium which had heated benches and a nice water feature. My massage therapist was Emily and she did an AMAZING job!!! I will definitely ask for her again in the future and I recommend her for sure. I like a medium pressure massage and she did it just right. My husband also enjoyed his massage, the pressure was good but he prefers a deep tissue massage which is not quite what he got. It's ok though because he was very relaxed and enjoyed it. The hallways are a bit tight in this space so you have to be a bit conscious of stepping aside when people pass in the hallways but other than that it was a great space. They gave us some Epsom salts after we paid the bill which was a nice touch. read more

Once we got there I was told you need to be at least 14 years old. My daughter cried on our way home because she was so disappointed. Then I wasn't told in advance that what she was applying on my face would tingle then burn so I thought I was having an allergic reaction and I had told her I had sensitive skin. Booked a prenatal massage at Bliss Yoga Spa as I knew they would do it right and in a safe manner. From the ladies at the front desk who check you in through the end of your treatment when they encourage you to spend a few minutes in the calming caldarium. The therapist set up the massage table to ensure it was incredibly comfortable for a pregnant woman. They start the massage on your side where there is a fluffy pillow to support you head, a v shaped contraption that you lie between around the ribcage, a bolster for your top leg while you lay sideways and a pillow for under your belly. It sounds complicated but was in fact extremely comfy. She checked what type of essential oil I wanted from a list that is deemed safe for pregnancy (there are a few essential oils that have not been proven safe for use). Half way through the 75 minute massage, she asked whether I had to use the washroom. I did in fact and popped out of the room and around the corner to empty the bladder. The second half of the massage, you are lying on your back while they spend time on your legs, feet, arms, neck, shoulders and head. I finished my treatment with a tall glass of cool water and a steam shower in the beautiful changing room. Complete with spa products stocked in the showers. It's a pricey treatment at $160 + GST and tip for 75 minutes but I thought it was worth the money in one of your most vulnerable and uncomfortable periods of your life. read more

The facility is well maintained and breathes luxury! The staff of yoga instructors are probably some of the more experienced and certified I have come across in my journey as a yogi. I have indulged in sport massages from their RMTs and I've been rejuvenated by their therapy! Pedicures here are also second to none. Bliss YogaSpa has a great atmosphere and there are a selected few amazing girls that work there that go above and beyond to make your experience fantastic. However, myself and a wedding party went to get our nails done the day before the wedding and the whole experience was a DISASTER. To be frank, the technician who worked on the bride did a sloppy job and when the bride expressed her displeasure she even gave her attitude! The bride's technician had even painted parts of the cuticle and did not properly clean it up. Overall it made for a terrible experience that made the bride feel extremely stressed before the big day. As for the rest of the girl's technicians, they did a great job and it's sad that it got overshadowed by the horrendous job and attitude of the bride's technician. But even though our manicure and pedicure was done very well, the receptionists were also flustered with our receipts and had got our balance wrong 3 times which took over an hour to fix. And the only compensation they offered was 10% off our next visit. Overall, the interior of Bliss YogaSpa is fantastic and has potential to provide a great service but at this point there are still too many inexperienced employees that caused us to leave extremely dissatisfied. Especially, this is unacceptable considering that all their treatments are marketed as luxury and high-end. read more

The laser tech Crystal is a queen of her trade, Emili is a compendium of knowledge and the services are utterly blissful every time. They did small efforts that made the service really enjoyable such as giving a tour of the facility, offering free drinks and snacks and even helping me put my shoes away. The massage was so relaxing. There were many bolsters to keep my 39 week bump very comfy. The pedicure was also nice but very basic for the price. They provide you with high quality robes and spa sandals, as well as a lounge area where you can hang out before your massage, and have some tea or snacks. The place is very nice. It is a whole Experience, not just a service. The amenities such as the relaxation room and fountain room are spectacular. It would have been 5 stars from me Except for two things. 1) I felt very rushed by the staff upon arrival. I would have liked more time to relax and enjoy the amenities before my service. No big deal though, I will just arrive earlier next time. 2). What I really didn't like was that during my massage, the RMT had her phone on her. It kept vibrating throughout the massage, and at one point went off ringing at full volume while I was laying face up with her massaging my shoulders. It was very loud and alarming, and difficult to relax again after such an abrupt awakening. Other than that I would still go again, just maybe with a different therapist. read more

I was greeted at the front by the receptionist who provided me a tour prior to my prenatal yoga workshop. She led me to the change room and ensured that I knew how to use their numerical key pad lockers. She also walked me to the tea lounge (where you can hang out before or after class and enjoy their complimentary tea) and filled up my water bottle for me. She showed me where the 2 yoga practice rooms were and made sure that I was settled in class before leaving. Don't go to "Bliss"!!! I went there recently for a massage & left in an ambulance! The therapist was going deep with her elbows despite me asking her many times to ease off. When it came time to flip over onto my back, I wasn't able to. I have never been the same since and she had done serious damage to my lower back. No one from Bliss even bothered to contact me to make sure I was okay. They weren't the least bit concerned that their client walked in just fine & left in an ambulance. I emailed them & their lack of concern astonished me. I was informed that in no way were they going to take responsibility or pay any compensation. Did I even ask for any? I'm sure I'm not the only one that experienced this though. No what I expected for a supposedly classy spa! So I received a comment from Bliss after I had posted the above review of my experience there. They claim that they do care about their clients and that they had responded to my injury. What they failed to mention is how that all took place. When I went to the hospital after leaving the Spa, no one from Bliss bothered to check on me the entire night I was there or next day even. In fact, there was no concern indicated at all even after I ended up contacting them myself after a couple days. I know if that was my business I most definitely would want to follow up immediately with a client that was injured and left in an ambulance. Also, I would expect them to at the very least offer to pay my medical expenses. Instead they skirted their responsibility and claimed they weren't at fault. In no way was I asking them for compensation other than covering my expenses. Plus they charged me for that session! Luckily I had a gift certificate so I didn't have to pay for it out of pocket. I had sent them proof of medical visits but they never bothered responding. I didn't intend on taking this further as I'm not that type but due to their lack of care I've since been in contact with an attorney. I will be taking legal action. Very sad that it's come to this as it wasn't necessary. I've always enjoyed my massages and thanks to that experience I will never be able to bring myself to go again. read more

I have been going to Bliss on a regular basis for about 2 years. I have had mostly positive experiences, and I love the atmosphere. Here are some highlights: Yoga and Meditation: I have taken all types of classes in the yoga rooms, with several different teachers. There really is something for everyone. My favorites are Chrissy, Lindsay, and Kat. Talk to them about your skill level and if you're looking for something more energetic or something more relaxing. They will help you find the right fit. Massage: Although it is very pricey, massage here is worth it. The experience from beginning to is just nice. Spa clients have a special change room, and there is a nice shower to take a steam in. Robes and slippers are provided, and there are nice relaxing places to sit until your therapist comes for you. There is also lemon water, tea, cookies, and a nut mix. They also don't rush you out after, so take your time. A 90 minute massage usually takes me about 3 hours. Ryan, Kim, and Emily are my go-to RMTs. Waxing: My first experience with waxing here was horrible. Actually, the worst waxing experience I think I've ever had. I emailed the office explaining what happened, and they definitely made it right. But after a few appointments, I just found it too expensive to continue and went back to my usual place. They handled it really well though, and the esthetician is no longer there. Laser: I saw Jade for some laser hair removal. She was thorough and did a wonderful job. She is adorable and I think my favorite esthetician. Other spa: I've had many other spa services, usually with Jade, including body wraps, pedicures, and more. All in all, this is a fantastic place!! Pricey, but I think well worth it. I wish the staff was a little more quiet in the hallways, but that's about the only thing I can think of. read more

Bliss YogaSpa, where have you been all my life? I signed up for the 2 week all you can go pass (1 class a day for 2 weeks $50) and walked in today with high hopes and a new yoga mat. Walking in I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who let me know all about their programs, and gave me a tour of the space. To be honest since it was first thing in the morning, I really wasn't paying attention. I did hear, sign up for classes online, which was great, because I live and love online. The men's change room is pleasant and has 3 full showers as well as free digital lockers. They're also supplied with Aveda skin care, and shower products. I got changed into my lululemon shorts, debated a tank top, and with my brand new yoga mat headed into the Lotus room (heated yoga) for their morning Blissful "Glow" Flow. The instructor April, was professional and helpful all the way through, which was great for a Yoga noob like me. There are 31 spots in the class, all of them except for 1 was taken, so I would definitely recommend pre-booking if there is a particular class you want. Out of the 30 people people there I was the only guy, but there were different levels of physical fitness in the room. I saw some people pull off some crazy poses, while I, myself did the baby versions of them. The room was kept at pleasant heat, and we had 3 water breaks. TIP: BRING A LOT OF WATER. I brought my normal water bottle and went through it , and luckily my workout buddy lent me some of her second bottle. I recommend bringing a small hand towel for wiping your soaking face during practice, a bandanna and two towels. Here's a quick question. As a person who spends a lot of time in the weight room, here's what I would say. Yoga was a great addition , it allowed you to add an endurance element to your weight training, and the stretches will add flexibility. I felt my core getting hit, and lots of my supporting muscles. (If you're going to use this as a workout out, I'd replace a full body day or a cardio day) At the end of the class I was drenched in sweat and was loving my fresh cold lemon grass scented hand towel that they gave my squishy stretched out self as I lay on the mat. The showers are great, with 3 full showers I got ready for work, and looked perfectly professional with no problems. It was odd though that they had such an elaborate set up in the locker room but no towels. Ample parking around, a great experience and a complimentary tea bar makes this a Blissful Experience worth doing again. Let's just say after finding Bliss, I willingly drive across the city to attend their classes! There is just something about the atmosphere and customer service that helps you relax on a new level. It's awesome to have huge, clean changerooms and a tea lounge to relax in before and after class. While it's a little pricier than your average studio, you truly get what you pay for here. My wife took me here on my birthday to enjoy a couples massage. Extremely posh facilities from the moment you step through the doors. We arrived early which gave us plenty of time to use the change rooms and then relax in their lounge. The change room is one of the nicest facilities I've used. The lounge includes water/tea and some fruit if you like. They even have iPads for you to use but I'm sure most would prefer to just use their own devices. The massage therapist who worked on me used just the right amount of pressure. For the rest of the day my muscles were loose and relaxed. We went on a Monday which wasn't too busy but I hear the weekends can be busy so book in advance. Their prices are more expensive than the norm so I won't be here on the regular but it's nice for a special occasion. I'm just grateful our benefits are able to cover most of it. read more

Bliss has become my go-to for massage treatments! I've never been for Yoga or anything else so I can't comment on those... Every time I get a massage I really do walk out feeling so much more relaxed. They have lockers with passcodes (so you don't need a lock) and robes... then they lead you to a relaxation area with infused water and tea and iPads to play with while you wait in cozy lounge chairs... Then your massage therapist will come grab you. You get to choose which scent you would like the oil (I love Lavender and the Orange Blossom) to be, followed by the best massage of your life! I love when, after massaging your back, then put a warm towel over the area and do your legs. The warm towel feels absolutely amazing. When they're done, your massage therapist will leave you to put your robe back on, while grabbing you a glass of water (do yourself a favour and DRINK IT) and a bag of epsom salt to take home. There is a steam room you can use afterwards but I never use it... I always go back to the change room, drink my water, and leave. The only (somewhat big) drawback is that it's quite pricey... even compared to other similar places (it's around $30-40 more expensive than other similar places for a 60 min massage). I go back because I found a massage therapist I like and it's covered by my benefits. If it wasn't covered or whatever, I would probably work harder to find someplace cheaper. read more

The instructors are knowledgable although, if you tend to prefer a specific instructor, you must always check the schedule as it changes frequently. The hot yoga studio is a great size and the floor medallions prevent the crowding of mats experienced at many studios around the city. The Bliss experience is 5-star from start to finish. When you get to the spa, you trade your shoes out for spa sandles, leave your things in a locker, and curl up in the spa lounge until you are retrieved for your services. Carly is my go-to girl for waxing. She makes sure you're as comfortable as possible, and works quickly and professionally. The room is always very clean, and the ambiance is calming. Carly's friendly nature and ability to make conversation with anyone makes the experience that much less painful. For massages, I highly recommend Kim. Not only will your benefits cover her services (WOO!), you'll leave feeling like a million bucks. She treats your muscles with a perfect balance of strength and patience to release tension and work out those nasty knots we are all too familiar with. Her knowledge of body mechanics and personal experiences with fitness allow her to make helpful recommendations about taking care of your problem areas to mitigate future problems. At the end of the service you'll be so cozy and relaxed under blankets and heating pads that you'll never want to leave the massage table, but being greeted with a package of epsom salts and a glass of water when you finally do emerge helps with motivation. Finally, the Babor products - well worth the price tag. I have had problems with dry skin my entire life but my Hyol and Phytoactive Base have cleared that right up, even during the driest and coldest stretches of winter.
