I am in serious need of a massage, lots of tension and stress. So I made it a priority to get one as soon as I could afford to. I reached out to Blissful Massage earlier in the week by phone call, no answer so I left a voicemail asking for availability and pricing. I've attached the screenshot of the text message that was sent to me. She texted me late Tuesday night in response to my voicemail with pricing and her hours of operation, not availability. So I text back that same night thanking her and asking when we can schedule for a 95min massage and if Friday at 12:30pm works for her. No response. It's been a week now and still no response. Vonnie gave me one of the smoothest and balanced massages I have ever had. She does great work, is intuitive to your needs and I wouldn't hesitate recommending her. One tip for future clients is to let them know when you are switching to the hot stones to avoid a startle. It wasn't a big startle, but I wasn't really prepared for it and a heads up first would have helped. Also maybe 5-10% less heat would be my preference. I can't say enough about how good Vonnie was. I was experiencing severe pain in my neck and also had some lower back and hip pain that all came out of nowhere. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go see a Chiropractor or a masseuse and decided to start with a massage. After researching several places, I came upon Vonnie at Blissful Massage aka Boise Massage Blissful. She had all very positive reviews so I thought I would take a chance. Boy am I glad I did. Vonnie greeted me at the door, reviewed my specific areas of concern, explained her method of treatment and took me into her massage room. The room itself was very inviting, lights dim, candles burning, scented aroma in the room and calm music playing. Vonnie got right into her routine with exactly the right amount of pressure in all the right areas. Long strokes to elongate my spine and deep pressure in the trouble spots. Always checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable. She also incorporated Hot Stones which she used with expertise and felt awesome. The only other time I had anyone use the stones all they did was place them on my back for a bit and then remove them. Vonnie used the stones as just another technique and it was very effective. Vonnie practices out of her home which may concern some people but please don't let that stop you from seeing her. I was given a gift of a Massage with Vonnie from a friend and I was a floppy noodle when I left! Just the way I like to leave a massage. Vonnie asked questions before we started and paid attention when I asked for longer work for my feet. As a "larger than life" lady, I sometimes feel uncomfortable when the tables are designed for slimmer folks. Vonnie made me feel comfortable and also provided a stool for me to rest my arms on instead of dangling over the sides, while face down on the table. That is going above and beyond IMHO. To say my body carries the stress and worry is an understatement. I only had time for an hour session this go around, but will definitely be booking longer next time. Her home is very inviting and her massage room is just perfect. The hot stones on my back after the big work was done was a very nice addition because at other places it's often an additional charge. We didn't talk much during which was nice because in previous massage experiences I have felt pressure to engage, but it's hard to talk and relax at the same time.
