I swear by Blo Fishers, and I always try to book an appointment to get my hair done any time I have a special event! There is truly nothing I love more than getting my hair washed and styled, and this blow dry bar never misses! My hair is a little difficult to work with because it has some chlorine damage and it's curly/frizzy, but after a good wash, detangling, and blow dry, it looks and feels as good as new. Also, my hairstyle stays put for the whole night, whether I'm sitting at a formal dinner or dancing at a party--it's a special mix of magic and hairspray that keeps it together! I booked an appointment for 1:45 but came and checked in a little early (about 1:35), and I was seated right away. Blo Fishers put the "bar" in blow dry bar when they offered me a glass of champagne or a La Croix cocktail upon arrival. It was a very luxurious and classy touch. All of the hairstylists I have met pay special attention to every detail, whether you want your hair parted a certain way, want more volume in your curls, or even want a custom braid or bun. Normally, I'm shy about speaking up if I want to change something, but the stylists always make sure to ask if I like how my hair looks along the way, and I feel more comfortable with answering a prompt. The effort the stylists put into their craft really makes Blo Fishers worth the price. I recommend booking an appointment through Blo Fishers' website even if you don't think they will be busy because they rarely accept walk-ins on weekends (their busiest days). I also recommend knowing what hairstyle you want before you start your appointment (check their website for the LookBook or come with some inspo from your Pinterest board!) so you don't waste time during your appointment. There's an option to join the membership club, which boasts 2 blowouts per month for a significantly reduced price (among other commodities). I definitely can appreciate this deal, but since I only get my hair done for special occasions, I stick to paying per-hairstyle. Blo Fishers never fails to make my hair look beautiful, and it's my favorite place to get my hair done! read more

Love the staff here, but the company itself should be ashamed of themselves. They charged me 15 dollars to have the stylist spray Wow (I bought there) in my hair. Blo Bar you need to do better by your customers. Of note - I was not informed there would be a charge to spray this hair product in my hair. Very disappointed as I love the staff there and they do a great job but I will not likely return. read more

Loved my experience at Blo in Fishers! The place is super cute and pink which makes the whole experience a little more girly (which is so fun)! I was so excited to hear that Fishers was getting a blowout bar! I'd been following Blo on Instagram and booked an appointment the day they started taking reservations. The salon has a great vibe--it's modern and elegant but also feels cozy and friendly. I was offered a drink (water, coffee or a mimosa) when I came in, which was a nice touch. Making an appointment online was easy. I also got a reminder text the day before confirming my appointment time. I don't currently see an option to pick the stylist you want when booking, but I'm guessing that you could call and request someone that way. The salon is located next to the Yard District--you can turn in off 116th at the stoplight where the Kroger fuel center is to get there easily. They had plenty of parking available in the lot. Now that logistics are out of the way, let's get to the fun stuff! Holly did my hair today and she was fantastic! I flipped through a look book and picked the style of blowout I wanted. Then my stylist washed and conditioned my hair. She explained what product she was using and what the benefit was of each one as she went along. After getting my hair brushed out and dried, she curled it while we chatted. It was a really fun way to spend an hour. I ended up signing up for the monthly membership that comes with 2 blowouts a month, a free birthday blowout and discounts on products. Yesterday I tried Blo dry for the first time, instead of dry bar which I've always used.. The girl barely washed my hair, I asked for a head massage ( add on when booking ) didn't get that, which was fine bc her shampooing was horrible. she took 1hr to blow dry my hair, and still wasn't done with half of my head and I had to stop her and leave with half of my hair wet bc I had a bridal shower I was hosting and which was going to cause me to be late at that point which I was late ( bc I still had to go home finishing my own hair ) she also blow dried my hair soaking wet with a round brush. I've been a hairstylist for 15 years and owned my own salon... #1 rule never take a round brush to someone's hair that's soaking wet, you blow dry the hair 80% before you ever start using a round brush. It should never take an hour to blow dry someone's hair let alone half the head. Also I was Charged full price for my service which I didn't even get, and then asked to leave a tip.. so I paid $75. Unbelievable . My appt was @ 11:30 and I had to stop and walk out @ 12:45 with wet hair.. when my hair should have been completely wash dried and styled by that time. Do better when hiring stylist.. people like myself come to these places bc they like getting hair hair shampooed so they should be well trained on getting a good shampoo with a nice massage even during a regular shampoo, and making sure they know time management and not taking an hour to blow dry half the head and NEVER using a round brush on hair soaking wet. read more

I generally see Annabelle who absolutely does a wonderful blow dry that lasts for days!!!! She is so personable and makes the experience fun! All of the stylists are talented, kind, listen and are very patient. It is easy to make an appointment too!!! Sydney runs a very tight ship with scheduling, cleaning, greeting, assisting stylists etc etc! She is always busy making sure clients are happy!!! The salon is welcoming and friendly. So I messed up when I booked the appointment and I accidentally booked for the Illinois location despite my mix up they were SO accommodating and got me in anyway. I love getting my hair done at Blo! I've gotten my hair done twice and even sent my MIL for her hair and makeup and she loved it. First time I got my hair washed and curled and it lasted 5 DAYS YALL. My hair NEVER holds a curl. Annabelle was very sweet and good with my hair. I got my faux braid done by Holly and she crushed it. I wanted to love this addition to the Fishers area-- but sadly, after months of being a member, I decided to cancel my membership. I only had a great experience with one girl (I am sorry I forget your name! -- second chair on the left side as you walk in). I joined the monthly membership and let my washes build up so I was going often there for awhile. 9/10 the girl washing my hair would not wash underneath my extensions -- like I literally would feel back there after the "wash" and my scalp would actually still be completely dry. This was extremely frustrating considering I had to pay an extra $15? Or so due to me having extensions. I never felt like my scalp was actually clean after getting a blowout, so I decided to cancel. Also, I just overall do not recommend going here specifically if you have extensions. Every single blowout I had to remind them to be gentle with the track and it felt as if they were yanking my hair out. If you decide to give them a try, I would also say little to no hairspray, bc if you don't, they use A LOT.. which is great for some I'm sure, I just couldn't even brush through my hair which made me have to wash it the very next day and usually I go every three days. I also found many of the girls to not seem very happy to be there, which I get, no one likes working, but as someone who worked in the service industry for over 10 years, fake it lol I found a lot of girls to openly complain about this and that and it was uncomfortable to say the least. On a positive note, my curls turned out great each time I went. They also had champagne and strawberries for Valentine's Day which was a cute surprise even though I couldn't part take due to being pregnant. I may try again in the future-- but overall my several experiences were not worth the cost. read more
