I received the menu card THIRTY minutes after I was seated and it took them another FORTY minutes to serve my steak! Which means, I was seated at 7pm and my food arrived at 8.10! So, if you want prompt service this may not be for you. The food was excellent, however, so although I was bitter from all the waiting, in the end it managed to save the the day!

Neugierig geworden auf das neu Steakhaus in Nürnberg und mit hohen Erwartungen aus drei USA-Urlauben gönnten wir uns heute mal ein Steak. Bedienung nahm nett und schnell Bestellung auf. Die Preise erscheinen im ersten Moment etwas hoch, jedoch sind in den Steak Menüs je eine Ofenkartoffel und ein Beilagensalat dabei. Salat kam dann mit dem Wunschdressing French in ca. fünf Minuten, das Filet Mignon jedoch lauwarm in 30 Min.! Die Beilagensauce zum Fleisch war nicht dabei, Ofenkartoffel statt wie bestellt Pommes und das relativ sehnige Fleisch war englisch statt medium. Es ist zwar nett zu lesen, dass der Nürnberger Hauptmarkt ein Wunschstandort dieser Kette war, jedoch wird es schwierig bei dem hohen Standard an sehr guten Steakrestaurants sich mit dieser mangelnden Qualität zu behaupten. Die Bedienung war der einzige Lichtblick bei dieser Anreihung von Pannen. Ein Gratistgetränk und Espresso aufs Haus lehnten wir dankend ab. So wird des nix! read more

Rückruf erfolgen nicht !!! Wir wollten einen Tisch reservieren für eine größere Personenzahl. Uns wurde gesagt das dies immer über die Chefin läuft und diese sich telefonisch mit uns in Verbindung setzen wird. Telefonnummer wurde dreimal wiederholt und es wurde zugesichert, die Chefin werde sich melden Leider ist dieser Anruf nie erfolgt ! read more

Mein Besuch im Restaurant Block House in Nürnberg war eine Katastrophe. Mein Steak war komplett anders vom Gargrad her als ich es bestellt hatte. Auf Nachfrage beim Service wurde mir gesagt, dass sich das so gehört. Meine Meinung nach geht sowas gar nicht. Auch unsere Getränke haben sehr lange gebraucht! Lieber nicht nochmal. read more

Wir sind öfters im Block House und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Gleichbleibend gute Qualität und guter Service! Nicht geeignet für lange Abende in größerer Gesellschaft, aber für ein Steak nach dem Stadtbummel perfekt!! Immer wieder gerne! read more
