Take this as a warning. He is a snake-oil salesman. I went to see Bloink for an injury that I had last December. I pulled a muscle in my Piriformis and had been slowly healing. He was referred to me by my massage therapist and I read the reviews here, so I gave it a try. He somehow made a connection between my injury and the inside of my mouth. He did a series of tests, asking me to lift my arm or legs against his hand, to test the strength of my legs and arms. When he wanted to show that one side was weak, he would increase the pressure from his hand so I would not be able to push as hard, then he would apply light pressure on the other side to show that the other side was better. He wasn't applying the same pressure on both sides - that's why! He blamed my Invisalign for my lower back pain (which I got from an injury), and told me to see one of the dentists in his 'list." I went to a real Orthodontist (not just a dentist) and he actually stopped my headaches and aligned my teeth. He doesn't listen! He has an attention problem. I repeatedly told him how I injured myself from doing 3 series of Tabata exercises back-to-back and immediately working on my desk for 3 hours without standing (I have always had a strong back), but he said it was coming from my head (I guess he wanted to do a manipulation inside my mouth in that way he can charge more). I agreed to have it done, but warned him not to make it worse. He pushed the inside of my mouth, the soft part, then performed some tests to see if my legs or arms were stronger. But he applied less pressure, so naturally I could push harder! It's a con-artist scam! He told me to remove the sacroiliac belt I was wearing, and I told him that it was really helping me. He said my belt (Serola-which is highly rated and recommended by doctors) was not good. It was because he sells a different belt and at a much higher price. I took one look at the belt, and it looked like the previous belt I wore which was lower in quality. But he was selling it for $10 more. Another thing - when I came in, he was interviewing a young intern. (I had to wait). He asked the intern to come inside the room and watch everything, without even asking me. I paid $326 to get ripped off by a con-artist. I feel so terrible that a person of this low calibre could be working in Los Gatos, I don't know how he managed to get good reviews here. Dr Thomas bloink is such an amazing chiropractor. I was extremely sick could barely walk when I walked into his office. He did a full body exam/ look at me and told me I was severely sick from mold. Not Lyme not lupus mold. He told me my organs were inflamed and started me on probiotics to help heal to start detoxing from mold. He referred me to another doctor who specializes in nutrition and mold. He truly believes in helping the client and making sure they have the right tools to get better. I owe him my life. Came in with daily headaches and even though I was skeptical of Dr. Bloink's methods, he's now treated my entire family. My headaches were so bad that I couldn't make it through the day without lying down or taking a nap - made it very difficult to work from home during SIP. Love Dr. Bloink. He's pretty amazing. I had severe hip pain that gave me a very painful hitch in my stride. My dad recommended Dr. Bloink (Cranial Chiropractic), and within weeks, the pain had diminished; within a couple months, it was gone all together. Dr. Bloink listens to me. While the approach is cranial chiropractic, he looks at his patients holistically. He gave me great advice about diet and exercise that is also part of healing. Not all chiropractors are created equal!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would.... My story is long but honest. When I met and started working with Dr. Bloink, I have to be honest. I didn't believe much about chiropractors or what they did. After working with him I started to hear testimonies directly from other patients about what things he had done for them and how he changed their lives. When I had episodes with my back, I thought I would never walk the same again (quite dramatic but the pain was excruciating). It would take multiple visits but he would get me back to normal. I don't pretend to understand how or what he did that fixed me, I just would know that it worked. He had proven to me that there is indeed something miraculous about chiropractic and I was now a believer. Fast forward 20+ years. I now have 3 damaged discs in my back and have been in need to get into Dr. Bloink badly but my schedule is chaos. I thought "maybe I'll try another one that is closer to my office or I can squish into my schedule." I tried 2 with great reputations. Zero help. They were both very nice and I'm sure they do great things for some people but not like Dr. Bloink. What I've learned is not all chiropractors are created equal. Dr. Bloink may not have a "work plan" for you or some of the other politically correct formats that some use, but I think that's because every person is different. He doesn't know the rate which you heal, or the level of your injury. What I know is that he never tries to scam people and he wants you healed as badly as you do. He wants you in as many times as he feels you will need to heal and wants you to be on your healthy way. Sometimes I go years without going in, and sometimes I'm in there a few times a year. It doesn't matter which it is, he just wants me to get better. He's passionate about it and it shows. His multiple methods that he uses and his years of experience make him completely unmatchable in my opinion. He knows when he has limitations and he tells you "I can only do X" but it's honest so you have REAL expectations. I can't praise him enough and from my own experience as well as some very serious statements from other patients, I think he's "THE guy, the one" Now if I could just get my wacky schedule back on track so I can get in with him! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Bloink for over 15 years, off and on. The only reason I've been seeing him off and on is because when I see him, he fixes the problem I have - he doesn't just temporarily relieve the pain. When I first went to see him in my twenties, I was very skeptical, but I was experiencing terrible headaches and neck pain. Since then I have gone to see him after I experienced severe whiplash from a car accident, numbness in my arm due to a herniated disc in my back, when I've injured myself working out, and numerous other times. When I am under a lot of stress, I tend to grind my teeth and then create terrible headaches and neck aches for myself. Dr. Bloink can always alleviate the pain in one or two visits. I am in my forties now, and I have referred many new patients to him. This review is long overdue. I have been a patient Of Dr Bloink for over 12 years. When I first met him I literally had to shuffle as I couldn't extend my foot more than 6 inches. I had visited many other doctors and chiropractors and physical therapists over the years and they had all told me I would need back surgery. Dr. (Tom) Bloink is one the most incredible HOLISTIC healthcare providers ever. I have been going to him since 1992 and I have often had the good fortune to talk to patients in his office who are practically near tears telling me how he has helped them when no one else could. I have many friends who have gone to him for help when the mainstream medical community couldn't help, with the same success stories (I do also use the services of the mainstream medical community, BTW). Sleep Apnea is of special interest to him. I personally am amazed when I think I'm going in for one thing (pain in back) and the underlying problem ends up being something completely different (hormonal or organ issue, for example). You will learn about "referred pain", muscle testing and probably N.E.T. if you visit Tom. It also sounds kinda crazy until IT WORKS. Even when I wish he would, Tom doesn't ever try to sign me or anyone else up for a "plan." I think he may pride himself on not needing to have his patients come back often. On the flipside, if he recommends you come back in a week or two (that's been rare for me), it's because you really need to. He will fit you in if you have an emergency and he's able to but otherwise he has only regular office hours, with no evening or weekend appointments. Tom will tell it like it is (for him) so if you are very sensitive to hearing strong opinions, usually about your previous healthcare provider's strategy, you may not be happy here...until you find out Tom's usually right. If you truly want to get better and have an open mind about what ails you, you will be happy here and appreciate Tom's extensive healing talents. read more

I refer difficult cranial patients to him, and am constantly amazed at how he is able to help these tough cases that no one else seems to be able to touch. Saw Dr. Bloink 5 years-1x every 3 to 8 wks. He was helping w/ my low back/ hip issues. DOESN'T ACCEPT ANY INSURANCE. He charges over $150 even if he sees you less than 10 minutes. Front desk is always rotating- He runs 20 mins late plus tables & areas not always clean. Numerous Chiropractor students left there & wouldn't stay like he said they would. My issues: - He got angry about my NOT buying his supplements. 1st Example: He pushes many supplements. Many are NOT proven safe. He pushed vegetarian DHA from algae on myself and a friend; even if you tell him you take a Fish Oil Supplement. You will get a lecture about mercury, PCBs, etc. I take Nordic Naturals 3x's a week, (Nordic Naturals randomly tested & had NO mercury or PCBs). I eat chia seeds, flax seeds, & leafy greens daily in smoothies or salads. According to him that is not adequate & I need his supplements. Well I did my research on his "natural vegan" DHA. Supplement he was trying to sell was made by Martek which has had fines by the Environmental Protection Agency b/c their factory caught fire since they use n-HEXANE- The fire is even on YouTube. Just google Martek Biosciences & you'll see how many watchdog groups are questioning & fighting BOTH Martek's LifeDHA & ARA being added to foods. LifeDHA is usually the added DHA in baby foods see- The National Organic Standards Board stated that hexane-extracted algal oil & fungal oil should not be allowed in organic foods--but the USDA has failed to act, and hexane-extracted DHA and ARA remain in organic infant formula. When the C. cohnii and M. alpina oils first appeared in infant formula, FDA received dozens of reports from physicians and parents who noticed diarrhea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal distress in infants given formula with these oils--symptoms that disappeared when the infant was switched to the exact same formula without these novel additives. I asked about the issues w/ his vegan Martek/LIfeDHA. He said he would look into it- HE DID NOT b/c later he tried to push it on me stating it was even safe for infants. I explained that I had done extensive research on LifeDHA and Martek Biosciences Corp & found out it was UNTESTED crap that was manufactured with n-Hexane which is toxic; the company claims it evaporates off the product- EXCUSE ME but is that a CHANCE that should be taken with infants, kids, or any living organism? Why take a product that has no guarantee of safety when foods provide the supplement & there are Fish Oil supplements that ARE TESTED AS SAFE. Well Dr. Blionk flipped & yelled that I should just pay & leave. Yes he will yell in the wait room. 2nd Example: Later I was shown Pure Encapsulations multi-vitamins but i said no. He gave 5 min lecture about the vitamin is the best available etc. I asked him how it is better than organic food based vitamins which the body recognizes & utilizes more effectively than synthetic? Well he said the vitamins are bio-equivalent & bio-available & how athletes use them. I explained there are NO LONG-TERM studies on humans comparing synthetic vitamins, which he sells & the organic food based ones I buy. Why would I take the risk? Again he flipped out so I just walked out. I didn't even pay b/c my time is valuable & that balance sat for months. - You CAN'T question his treatments & must follow his regime. 1st example: He won't use X-rays, which other Prof Chiropractors do. I was told to use his hip brace that he sold for $30 more than I paid online for EXACT belt. At first he didn't want to to adjust it for me & loudly stated that my purchase was taking food from his family. Really what about what I had to give up to pay for his overpriced holistic treatments. 2nd example: He referred my friend to Dr. Rahimi for TMJ. When I asked about TMJ retainer/ splint/ or night guards for effectiveness, I was reamed out b/c I am not a Dentist or Chiropractor who is trained & working w/ the disorder for 10 minutes. My friend liked Dr. Rahimi BUT he does not take her dental insurance. I was referred to Dr. Rahami to remove 2 silver fillings. I asked for another referral & Dr. Bloink screamed he only works w/ the best; Asked for referral b/c Dr. Rahimi didn't take my dental insurance. - Last issue was w/ rotating front desk. Like chickens w/ heads cut off dealing w/ simple payments & finding files. Staff are required to clean the rooms between patients & keep bathroom clean. Patient tables, chairs, bathroom, etc are not cleaned if busy. If you clean the table & your blocks then you don't get a discount. He had 1 lady who always cleaned table, head rest, & blocks between EACH patient, that is how we know/ saw the difference. My friend, myself & other patients agree you need to allow 30 mins past appt time if you want to be seen. Saw a few of his previous trainees/ colleagues. They all stated they left b/c he's unprofessional. My friend & myself found other Chiropractors who are fairly priced, professional, effective, & on time. read more

Dr. Bloink is amazing! He changed my life for much better! I am Asian who grew up in my home country. I came to US after I finished my engineering degrees. I didn't know what is a Chiropractor in the western world till I saw him. I was not aware of a problem I was born with, till I saw him about two weeks ago, although I have always felt something not quite right. The bad feeling gets worse as I get older. He also found my left sacro-illiac joint seperation, which I was not aware of either (and again felt something wrong from time to time). I can't believe what just happened. I made an appointment today as I was having neck strain for week now. My appointment was at 3:10 pm and Dr. Bloink came in at 3:45 pm, until most patients had left. He came in, looking a bit upset, opened my folder and took out a printout of my previous Yelp review in which I gave him four stars. He asked me why I gave him a bad review. I told him he must be mistaken as I gave him 4*s. He said nope it's not a good review. He continued to argue over how 4 out of five of his staff think it's a negative review and how I m tarnishing his reputation. He even accused me of lying!!! I made him count my visits which totaled to 14 in one year and told him that I honestly feel I should have had some long term relief in that period. After arguing with me for 10 minutes on the review, he slammed the folder shut and refused to treat me!! While I was leaving I told him this is unprofessional of him and he shouted at me from the hallway ""Go go get out"" If he had talked about my concerns calmly and respectfully, I would have gladly updated my review with another star. Instead he was disrespectful towards his patient who came in for pain relief. Very disappointing. read more

Don't bother. I paid the $370 for the evaluation and told me the causes of my various pain issues. He suggested 2 times a week visits for $110 each to fix the issues. On my first appointment after the evaluation, I was asked by the receptionist to write down my three issues I want Dr. Bloink to address. I was confused because I just there for ia $370 evaluation and he told me he had a "treatment" plan for me but now instead of addressing the issues he said he found, I was writing down the same issues I had before the $370 visit. I found it unprofessional to say "he didn't get around to writing a treatment plan". So what was the evaluation for? Unprofessional and not sure I believe all the smoke. read more

I went to Dr. Bloink following an accident in which my neck was severely twisted. He promised he would have me out of pain and relieved from vertigo in six weeks. He made a big show about the fact that he was better than any chiropractor or doctor. During the time I saw him, all of my symptoms got significantly worse. I told him at each session, but he just pretended that it wasn't happening. Finally, my husband confronted him about it, and he answered that I must have Lyme disease. He asked him to repeat it because he thought he must've misheard. But he hadn't misheard. I have no idea what these other people are getting out of seeing this guy. When I finally got to a good chiropractor, Dr. Wong at full motion chiropractic in Belmont, he took x-rays - something that Bloink doesn't do - and discovered that I had a notable misalignment. It certainly wasn't Lyme disease. In fact, it was something that is basic to chiropractic care, a subluxation that causes nerve pinching and irritation. Not long after my treatments with Bloink (and before I found Dr. Wong) the pain became so severe that I ended up hospitalized. To me, the worst thing about seeing him was that he never listened or looked at me. He just did his pointless muscle testing and jaw manipulations. He was also completely convinced that I had postconcussion syndrome, even though I had never had a concussion. I tried to explain this to him, but as per usual he didn't listen. I recall seeing some bad reviews of him in the past, and they seem to have miraculously disappeared. I wonder if this one will also evaporate into thin air. It's really not fair to judge a doctor from reviews. I looked over the reviews Dr Bloink has had and most of them are glowing. One was pretty bad. I thought to myself, I'm so glad I was not warned off by that review. I hope others are not. Dr Bloink has literally saved my life more than once. And the lives of my friends and family. He really knows his business. And he's a real human being. Always looking for better ways to handle the problems people come in with, he has become a blindingly good expert on helping people. For instance, I had appendicitis a couple years ago. Could hardly walk. He saw me on a Saturday, which is not his standard hours of operation. I was bent over and in pain. I had no idea if he could help or not. All I knew is I didn't want to go to the hospital and get an expensive surgery to have it removed if I could help it. Surprisingly I found out he had helped two others like me earlier. And that if it could be handled, he would. Within an hour I was markedly better. Next day I was near normal. Monday, when I saw him, he, himself, was surprised how well I recovered. No expensive surgery. Just followed his treatment. Now, he may not be able to treat all appendicitises, but he sure is a remarkable doctor. And he really cares about his patients. And he produces amazing results.
