Bloom was a very beautifully decorated salon on the inside and it was a very soothing atmosphere. They offered beverages inside of a cute and cozy waiting room as well. Bloom also had amazing customer service and was able to fit me in last minute. The staff went above and beyond to fit me in almost instantly. Bonnie truly went above and beyond with my hair. I have to let others know, though Brittny did an amazing job, and I really did like her personality, I'd probably even have a beer with her. BUT, when I went up to pay, she says, "That'll be $500!" $500? I was Gobsmacked. I moved here from a pretty affluent area, and $350 is the most I ever paid. I have been struggling with finding a salon to help me get to the style I desired for YEARS! All this time I thought I wasn't able to correctly communicate what I wanted, taking responsibility for what I chronically ended up with. Ugly. I wasn't going cheap either. Bob Steel, a number of Aveda salons, even traveled to Buckhead to someone highly recommended... all that jazz. No dice. A year or so goes by and I decide to bite the bullet and try to avoid another punishment haircut and hit Bloom primarily due to raving reviews. And whatdoya know, I meet Heather. She listened, repeated back what she understood and BAM! I trotted out of the salon with exactly what I've been trying to get accomplished in what felt like a millennia! DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR SPECIAL OCCASIONS!!! I came from out of town for my nieces wedding and chose to have professional HMU services so that I would need to fly with all my makeup/hair curlers and so that I could relax and enjoy the day, feeling confident and beautiful for all of the family reunions and photos. When I called and spoke to the owner I explained the occasion, what I was looking for, what time I needed to be at the venue, etc. She informed me that she was booked but that she had another stylist who does makeup that could fit me in. I scheduled with the recommended stylist. I arrived for my appointment and it didn't take long to realize that the stylist had no experience with professional makeup application. I am a professional photographer and often work with HMU for my sessions so I know what to expect and this was not it. As she caked up my fave with Wet n' Wild makeup from Walmart, she explained to another client that this was her first time doing someone else's makeup. That made me nervous but at this point it was too late to back out. So, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. When she was finished, I looked terrible. It made me look older and accentuated my flaws. The owner was there working with another client and told her to start on my hair and she would come and help with the makeup once she could. So, she started on my hair. That's when she made it clear that she had no idea how to do my hair either!!! I wanted to cry but I was at their mercy. Long story short, the owner jumped in as she could and helped me look okay. She explained that no one their had the tools needed because they would all be leaving to do a wedding in Alabama the next day. She openly admitted that what I was receiving was below par. I too own my own business and felt empathy for her. I kept an optimistic attitude and went with the flow because what else was I going to do?? Towards the end of the misery, the owner insisted that I be charged 50% more than I was quoted because it was more work than she was expecting. That's when I realized that it wasn't a mistake, she genuinely had no concern for me or my experience. She just wanted my money. This disaster that was supposed to make my day luxurious and relaxing, left me a nervous wreck. The worst part is that it took so long, that I missed the opportunity to be with my niece as she got ready. A moment that I was meant to photograph and will now forever be lost. I traveled 6,000 miles with my camera gear for nothing and those photos cannot be recreated. The feedback I got on my makeup once I arrived was "it's not terrible" and " it will look okay in the photos." There was a lot more drama and misery that I have left out but trust me, you do not want to go here for any occasion that is important to you. read more

Don't. Simply don't. This was a nightmare. What Briana did should be criminal and what the owner Britney did was.I saw Briana who advertised herself as a "master stylist". Later after the damage I asked her directly- have you had any professional training? She avoided the question- said shes been doing hair for 10 yrs. Misrepresented herself,has no training,attended no classes in 10 yrs. Butchering hair, no knowledge of 1 step color or using harsh chemicals safely without causing hair to fall out which is what she did to me.A professional follows a clients instructions, does not dry cut hair. Instructed to trim dead ends, repair the color, recolor correctly. Instead she dry cut 2 1/2/ inches ragged/uneven, cut in 3 uneven layers up to my brows which now hang in my face. I've been growing it out for over 2 yrs to one length below my shoulders. I had had a color accident and needed it corrected.Color stripper is used sparingly and kept on for no more than 20 minutes. Briana? Over 1 hour.To further the damage she Scrubbed the harsh chemical in to my scalp, violently scrubbed sections of the hair against each other. Continuously. Color isn't in the scalp. Hair is weak and delicate during a chemical process. At one moment I saw her hands which were covered in my coming out hair. I shrieked. Briana casually said- oh some people have more fall out. How many peoples hair has she destroyed?I had no choice but to continue. The stripped hair was light red/blonde.I showed a photo of my bright,light definitely red hair. She admitted she wasn't sure what shade it might become.It is now a dull medium brown with perhaps a hint of red. Took 1 hour to apply 1 step color. 15-20 minutes is the norm.It is also still coming out. After 4 hours I escaped. The florescent lighting in this shop is so poor I couldn't see the cut or color damage until I got home. I called later, she left the call as I was speaking. The owner Brittney "guaranteed" she could repair the cut without making it shorter. Not physically possible. Also a complete refund. She intended to recolor. A trained professional knows you never ever color severely damaged hair in less than 8 weeks. I went in so she could see the damage and get a refund. I had no intention of allowing her to touch my hair once I saw her own ragged poorly cut hair. It was an unpleasant confrontation. She got in my face as I sat in the chair, continually slapped her hands together threateningly. After a last insult I stood up to leave. She stayed in my face, I asked her to move, she continued to yell, grabbed my purse, walked to the front of the store, opened the door and violently threw my expensive purse onto the sidewalk. Phone inside. Everything went everywhere. I went out and called the police.I was frightened. She then lied to the police, said I pushed her,denied a refund.The police didn't believe her. Brittany then threatened me- if I wrote a bad review she would press charges for trespassing. This is not legal. She stressed to the police how concerned she was for a bad review, not a customers hair coming out. Yes, I have taken legal action and reported both of them to the Ga boards. This owners behavior was violent, shocking, trashy. Lying to the police. Misrepresenting as "master stylist". No concern for causing a customers hair to fall out. After reading reviews I finally called bloom hair salon.... I am new to the area and I scheduled an appointment with Amanda also she is the manager I got a text later that evening she had overbooked could I reschedule so yes I did so I arrived at my appointment time 2:30 well guess what once again she was running behind schedule not 5 or 10 minutes more like 30 to 40 minutes..... s I waited about 10 minutes after her bare acknowleding me and said I couldn't wait that long she didn't apologize or offer to get me in the next morning just o well my client that morning ran late she is rude and should be managing any salon when I called back later I got the sam bs shame on you bloom salon you treat your new clients like garbage I hope the owne of this salon sees this review if it's Amanda don't treat your clients like it's their fault you don't know how to manage your time I would never recommend this pla to anyone read more

I visited bloom while in Dallas for business and had an unforgettable experience thanks to Amanda. When I got there I was 25 minutes early but she greeted me and thanked me for my patience while she finished up. This is something I'm not used to when waiting at a salon. When I was in her chair, she spoke to me as if I'd known her for a lifetime and treated me like a local. Not like she didn't care because she'd never see me again. Amanda took extra time to consult with me about my personal and professional style and wanted to know all about me to better understand my needs. She explained the service and educated me on how to maintain my new cut and showed me the products I need to recreate what she did. The whole experience was so amazing!! I made a last minute appointment yesterday on New Years Eve, they got me in within the hour. They booked me with Bonnie, and she spent the first 45 mins of our appt, consulting with me about the exact style and color I wanted because she is very thorough and wanted to make sure she got it right. Because my hair is complicated and never pulls the color that I want it to, I have never been able to find a stylist that I would visit twice, because I have never been happy with the color that it turned out. I have finally found my go to hair dresser now in Bonnie, and I will never look back. She got my color perfect, she got my cut perfect, and I came home after the salon and my husband and kids, and most importantly, I LOVED it. This woman knows what she is doing, and there were absolutely no surprises in the cost, because she gave me the price of everything right at the beginning and it didn't change even though the process did, because she wanted to make sure it was perfect.
