Here is my story. I purchased a bouquet for my boss whom lost a family member. I purchased a $60 bouquet through 1800Flowers whom contracts with Bloom and Grow locally. I use 1800Flowers because I belong to celebrations which affords me free shipping and delivery on all orders. I received a photo of the flowers delivered which was not even close to the caliber of the order I placed. Thoroughly upset over this I contacted the owner of Bloom and Grow who informed me that my order was $60 and they were deducting $15 for "delivery and gas" and delivered a $45 bouquet. This is NOT what I paid for. After a lengthy conversation with 1800Flowers I was told this is a direct violation of the contract between them and the florist. The florist is NOT allowed to deduct anything for their deliveries and is to prepare exactly what was ordered and paid for. I began to wonder how many other people have ordered from out of the area that are none the wiser that what they paid for is not actually what was being delivered. How much money has been pocketed here. While I understand it's a local small business and they have to make a living, it's not ok to cheat unsuspecting patrons out of what they paid for. If you don't like the contract agreement you have with 1800Flowers then don't contract with them. I am a local from this area and I'm glad I can bring this to light for other locals. Do not use Bloom and Grow unless you are sure of exactly what you are getting. Shame on you....shame! read more

I placed an order for a coworkers birthday delivery several days in advance and was worried because I have had issues with other florists before. My coworker let me know that her arrangement arrived and that it was beautiful. She was just leaving her house when the delivery person arrived. The person delivering was very concerned about leaving it on the porch due to the heat and said she had planned to find a shaded spot. SO I ordered flowers from here on Valentines Day the day prior. I had to call to see if my flowers were going to arrive as they don't tell you when they are coming. They said its out with the driver and it should be delivered today. When I opened my door to go on a date with my significant other my flowers were there. So no knock no doorbell. How do I know this? My gf was working in the living room the entire time. So now that I find the flowers they are NOT what I ordered. I call and say hey I didn't receive what I ordered. The lady tells me THE MANGER SAID you can get 20% off on the next purchase or bring them back and we will fix it! First of all. Why would I want to order again after you ruined my order on Valentines Day? I ordered 93 dollars of flowers and I received 30 dollar flowers. Obviously I brought them back to which I had to speed there as it was 4:30 and closing at 5. So they hastily threw my order together after I arrived and made flowers which still doesn't look like the pictures on the website. Then I calmly asked for my delivery fee back as IM THERE PICKING UP MY ORDER. The lady looks at me and says "Oh you mean the ten dollars? O....k..." What?! You inconvenience the customer an have the audacity to cop an attitude with me when I didn't complain and calmly asked for my delivery refund? So after checking the status of the refund i realized she didn't do it. Now when I call they wont answer almost as if they knew they burned me and put me on caller ID since they know they don't let customers into the store because of COVID. IF you buy from these people triple check your order. If its wrong don't expect any compensation besides a 20% on your next purchase of another crappy order. When my mother contacted Bloom N Grow about the arrangement, thinking it wasn't what we had ordered, staff was unhelpful and ended up hanging up on my mother. The floral arrangement was disappointing and the customer service was even worse. If you want nice flowers, go elsewhere. You will be much happier with the arrangements and customer service offered by other places. I especially appreciate their willingness to use *my* containers as vases, and I trust them completely with some family treasure/heirlooms... My mom has dementia and is in a care facility. I asked Jodi if she could create an arrangement using the teapot from my mom's 1951 wedding china set for Mom's 94th birthday in March. I was so pleased! Horrible Experience with these folks. Summary: 1) they ruined the surprise of flowers on valentines day, 2) did not deliver to the appropriate location in a timely manner, 3) refused to refund or compensate for their admitted mistake, and 4) the flowers were of poor quality. I, like many many others I am sure, ordered flowers for my that were to be delivered to her office on Valentine's Day (I paid extra to ensure they were delivered on the 14th). Bloom N Grow called my wife at 4:15pm and asked her "Did you receive your flowers today?". She responded with no to which they replied "Ok, just wanted to make sure. We have trucks everywhere and don't really know which are where. Is it all right if we deliver them tomorrow instead?" she told them to call me because she did not place the order. When they finally called me they asked if it was okay if they delivered the flowers on Wednesday the 15th. I said absolutely not. I arranged for the flowers to be delivers to a location down the street where we would be in a couple hours and they were. When I finally saw the flowers the buds were tiny, some were even beginning to wilt as if they had been made early in the day and left out almost forgotten about. On the way home they were falling out of the arrangement snapping at the point where the flower meets the stem. The lady I spoke with who identified herself as the manager told me flat out that she could not do anything for me. That flowers are expensive and the $100 arrangement I bought for my wife was barely enough to cover the expense. I counted 8 roses and two lilies with some green filler, a 6x6x6 inch square vase, nearly $100 in cost, I must really be out of touch with the price of flowers. Long story even longer, I will never go back to this florist. read more

My husband and 5 other dads all ordered their corsages for the Father Daughter dance from here and will never do it again. They all specifically requested they be pin corsages so the wrist ones would not flop around on 5 y/o wrists. All of them got wrist corsages. All of them were told they did not specify they wanted pin. YET as my husband pointed out to the lady, he did not request a wrist either. But he did specify it was for a little girl. If I could give them a negative number I would. I was extremely disappointed. I hired Bloom n Grow to do the flowers for my wedding. I met with the owner, Jodi, on several occasions and gave her pictures of exactly what I wanted and supplied her with vases for the centerpieces. I got the exact opposite of what I requested. When the flowers arrived, on the wedding day, they looked dead and brown (of course we demanded it be rectified, she still did a poor job fixing it, but we ran out of time on the wedding day). Also, the centerpieces were horrendous, they were smaller than the bridesmaids' bouquets. The centerpieces were supposed to be large and grand, with flower clusters over 18" in diameter on top of 24" tall vases. I received centerpieces clusters 5" in diameter on 24" tall vases; a considerable difference (she had pictures and it was specified SEVERAL times during our meetings. They were unacceptable. I wouldn't have paid thousands of dollars had I known I was getting tiny, dried, dead, centerpieces, and bouquets. Also, she told us that she would be available to pick up the few items that we did rent from her (there weren't very many, since I provided a lot of it myself). Then later Jodi told my mom to drop everything off at her shop or we would get charged extra. I didn't know this because I was on my honeymoon by this point, but seriously? The work she provided was subpar, then she tries to charge us extra, and she went back on her word to pick up her supplies. If you want quality work and customer service then do NOT go here. read more

If I could rate this florist no stars, I would. My husband who has been away from home for a month on the fires in California sent my 5 year old daughter flowers because she is struggling having him away for so long. She was thrilled to get flowers and described the flowers to him over the phone when she received them. As she described them I could hear his tone change. He then proceeds to tell me she didn't get what he'd ordered and he was very disappointed. I asked him to send me a picture of what he had paid for and I sent him a picture of what she received. It's no wonder he was angry. I could go on and on about it, but I'll just post a pic of what he ordered vs what we received. Please notice the roses in the Expressions of Pink bouquet we received were ORANGE!! When contacted the florist insisted we received a beautiful bouquet exactly like we'd ordered. Ordered flowers for Mother's Day for my Mother in Morro Bay from this florist via www.fromyouflowers.com. The flowers arrived wilted and my mother spoke to the driver explaining the flowers being wilted. The driver couldn't help and said to call the florist. My husband called the florist and then I followed up. We requested a refund to no avail and they would redeliver the flowers. My mother didn't want them any more, they resent the flowers anyway. The owner was very upset because she sent the flowers out again for delivery. I asked her not to deliver and then she became upset and VERY unprofessional.
