We ended up getting bloomers for a party. The dough for the donuts is generally a bit denser than non-vegan donuts but still quite tasty. We actually found their more basic flavors (glazed, sugar, chocolate) to be their stronger donuts than the fancy flavors. The biscoff mainly just tasted sweet and sugary though it was an interesting hard cookie topping in the donut. Price: More expensive than usual donuts but good quality and vegan option.

A very cute vegan donut and cupcake place. You can purchase walk in or order ahead. They also have a small selection that is gluten free and vegan. It's handy for special diets or allergies. Their donuts are pretty good. The gluten free brownie is very yummy, taste the same as regular non vegan brownie. Good customer service

I'm not sure why, but my second experience with Bloomers (at this new location) wasn't as good. Don't get me wrong: I think it's probably the best vegan donut I've had in the city, so if I were vegan, I'd probably rate this 4 or 5 stars. But I'm not, so I'm comparing it to all the other donuts I can get out there. And if that's the bar, then Bloomers is just ok. I like how the donuts are a bit dense yet still fluffy enough. I also like how they try unique flavours, but some of them don't quite go as well (cough strawberry nutella cough). Also not sure whether it's because it's vegan (though don't remember having these problems in my first Bloomers experience), but the chai and nutella strawberry donuts were a bit too oily, and the peanut butter one was a bit dry. The rose pistachio one was easily the best of the bunch. Overall, it's now a pass for me, especially given the price. But based on all the great reviews Bloomers gets across locations, might still be worthwhile for you and your taste buds to check out.

Was excited to try Bloomer's donuts due to the high yelp reviews but was very disappointed. We got two donuts- Boston cream and rose pistachio. The Boston cream donut was insanely oily and soggy/dripping in oil. We couldn't even finish it because of how oily it was. The rose pistachio was a better but still very, very oily. If we slightly squeezed the donuts, a bunch of oil comes out.

I visited Bayview Village to grab some takeout the other day, and I noticed Bloomer's opened where David's Tea used to be! The staff told me it is their NEW location, opened back in December 2020 (about 5 months ago). I've heard about this VEGAN dessert shop from downtown Toronto, and I'm so excited that they made it to North York! It is seriously a guilt-free heaven here lol. There are so many flavours of vegan donuts, filled donuts, cupcakes, cookies, cream cheese, ice cream, and many more products! Gluten-free vegan items are also available. Popular items do sell out fast, be sure to go early :) I ordered the Rose Pistachio, Chocolate Peanut Butter (my favourite one!), Rainbow Sprinkles, and Lemon Poppyseed donuts. They are all freshly baked, very soft to touch and tasty! If you can't finish them, you can put them in the freezer (same day), just thaw and enjoy at room temperature when you have a craving ;) The staff there was very patient and helpful. Tax-free when you buy 6 items or more. The shop is bright, clean and spacious. Limited 2 people inside the shop.

I have a habit just before Christmas each year to visit a vegan bakery. Pre-pandemic, when I used to go into the office for work, my team would have a little get-together. We have one vegetarian on the team, so I'd get baked goods from a vegan bakery. I am also borderline lactose-intolerant, so I truly love figuring out what good vegan bakeries are out there. Bloomer's is one such bakery. Its Instagram account decided to follow me a couple of months ago. I have flagged a visit ever since, but it's on Queen Street West and I am rarely in that part of Toronto. Two weeks ago, Bloomer's announced that it has set up a new store at Bayview Village. It is closer to where I live and was excited to drop by. I did it yesterday, on the last Saturday before Christmas. I haven't been to Bayview Village in years. I had no idea where Bloomer's was. I did my usual, which is to park in the middle of three mall entrances and figure it out. Let's cut to the chase. The Bayview Village directory is horrible to look at. I realize that Bloomer's is new, but it wasn't on the directory at all. I walked up and down this section of the mall (it's closed off where the boutiques are) and couldn't find it. I took a chance and tried entrance number 1 as if I were on a game show. I won! Bloomer's was a few steps past Scotiabank. Yay! There isn't a major sign for Bloomer's. Rather, there's a sign on the floor that points you over to the store. It looks classy and I love the inflatable doughnut with a bite taken out of it. For a vegan bakery that sells doughnuts, the variety is through the roof! I spent two minutes reviewing all flavours that you could get. I was exhausted and elated simultaneously. London fog. Cranberry orange. Rose pistachio. Lots more. I wanted everything! A lovely woman helped me with my order. I knew that I wanted six doughnuts. I got the following, which had more of a Christmas theme: - Tiramisu - Peppermint candy cane - Eggnog cheesecake - Raspberry sufganiyot - Dark chocolate sufganiyot - Gingerbread maple (shaped as a gingerbread guy) The woman was so patient with me, which I appreciated. I was in such a doughnut trance... haha! I paid using my credit card. You have the option to tip. I liked that feature. She asked whether I needed a receipt. I was good without it. She came out of her doughnut area to hand me a large box containing my goodies. It was such a nice, personalized touch. I thanked her and wished her a nice day. If you have been reading my posts, I am not a huge doughnut fan from major chains. Years ago in Winnipeg, I did rotating shift work. On nightshifts, many of us would bring in doughnuts from Tim Horton's, Robin's Donuts, or Coffee Time. On one shift, we had three boxes of doughnuts. 36 of them between eight people. Ugh! However, if there are handmade doughnuts in unique flavours from local places, I'm a fan. Not bad for someone who hasn't had therapy with my past trauma. I sat in my car with my box of doughnuts. I had had breakfast nearly two hours ago. I opened the box and decided to devour one. It was difficult to decide which one, but I went with one that wouldn't be as messy to eat. I went with the peppermint candy cane. I love peppermint and candy canes. What's not to love about it in a doughnut? It was fresh. The icing wasn't overly sweet. There were small, crunchy crushed candy canes (I dare you to say that fast!) on top, which made each bite so interesting and yummy. I was hooked (pun intended). When I got home, I had dinner and had the tiramisu doughnut for dessert. I love tiramisu to begin with. I took a bite and the espresso flavour was so good. The doughnut does have a hole in it, but it's not fully closed. It is brilliant that the creamy dollop nested perfectly in the centre. The combination with the fresh dough part made me so happy. This morning, I had the raspberry sufganiyot. I cut it in half to check it out. I have never seen so much filling in a doughnut in my life! I am huge raspberry fan. This doughnut is my jam (I need to stop with these puns)! It's the perfect raspberry filling. I loved every bite. I have eaten my way through half my stash. At this rate, I have a feeling that the remaining three are equally as delightful. I am addicted and love the quality of each flavour that this place has put together. My doughnuts came up to $26. It's not bad considering that I get six mochi ones for $25. I don't eat them often, so I'm okay with the price. The sufganiyot ones were the most expensive. With that much filling in them, I don't mind paying more for them. I'm a fan. There was plenty of parking when I went on a Saturday afternoon. I'll be back for more. (446)

If you didn't tell me these are vegan donuts, I probably wouldn't have noticed. Super delicious with a wide variety of different unique flavours each day. I came on New Years and they were open which was great because I needed to bring dessert for a gathering. Located in Bayview Village, some of the entrances were closed so I called them and the store owner politely told me only one entrance was opened. Went inside and was overwhelmed with the selections they have. I probably took about 10 to 15 minutes to decide but the store owner was patient and didn't rush me. I ended up getting half a dozen of filled and not filled donuts: - strawberry filled mimosa (new year special) - London Fog - peppermint mocha - Ferroro Rocher - creme brule - rose pistachios First off, the size of these donuts...unreal! Shared amongst 7 people, we probably finished half. My favourites would be the London Fog, Ferror Rocher, and the strawberry filled mimosa. I found the taste of the rose pistachios and peppermint mocha to be a bit off. Not sure what is was but the combination didn't work for me. It is a bit on the pricier side since they are gourmet vegan donuts ($24 after tax), but I certainly would recommend to give them a try whether you're vegan or not. I would come back again to try other flavours

Bloomer's is my go to for vegan donuts! I've been super happy ever since they opened a place closer to Scarborough! The staff are super friendly and are always willing to provide recommendations on their pastries. The store, itself, is super aesthetic and pleasing to the eye. The donuts always hit the spot whenever I have a dessert craving. They are very much on the sweet side though, so for those who don't like super sugared up pastries, this may not be for you. Their filled donuts are very filled and can be messy to eat, but very much worth it. Parking is a breeze here since it shares the large parking lot with the rest of Bayview Village. The TTC stop is also a short walk away.

Finally crossing of Bloomer's from my list! It has been seating there for so long, and I went to the one at Bayview Village. First thing first, Do you even believe these are all VEGAN DONUTS?!? I still can't tho Soft, pillowy, huge vegan donuts with range of unique yet delicious flavours I secured 6 donuts: Birthday Cake, Rose Pistachio, Tiramisu (filled), Wild Bluberry, Chocolate Almond, and Cinnamon Sugar Their donuts are seriously MASSIVE. I was thought that the staff gave us the dozen box, and its too big for our donuts. But when I opened it, it fits for 6 donuts. Yes, it is hugeeeee. My favorite one is the Birthday cake!! Absolutely loving it. And the Rose Pistachio is a unique flavour! Never forget to get the classic donuts like Cinnamon Sugar and Chocolate almond They offer a daily rotational flavours but you still can get their signatures. If you're not a vegan, but a donut lover like me; better try Bloomer's and you'll be shocked Follow @astravel_eats for more recs

This is the place to go for vegan donuts! As someone with a dairy allergy, I get super excited when I find desserts that I can actually eat. There were plenty of donut options there and even cakes in the freezer that you can buy. All of the non filled donuts are 3 something while the filled ones are $4.25 each. Lots of options for both kinds. I ended up going with the pecan butter tart and the carrot cake (filled) donuts. They are both pretty big when compared to Krispy Kreme donuts. The pecan butter tart one was fantastic with just the right amount of crunch while the carrot cake one tasted exactly like carrot cake. The filling however was just a tad bit too sweet for me. Otherwise, they had a great selection of flavors and I would come back again (as a treat to myself cause they are a bit pricey for donuts).

I ordered a box of four doughnuts via Doordash and I assume I got cookies and cream, vanilla sprinkles, raspberry and pina colada. They have different flavours everyday so you can't choose which flavour you want and I wasn't informed of which flavours I got as well. However, I didn't have any complains as they flavours were absolutely delicious. My absolute favourite was pina colada as it was refreshing and different than the usual flavours. The other three flavours were delicious too but the pina colada stood out for me as I've never had that doughnut flavour before!

6 pack with a variety of donut flavours. Fresh and delicious!

I am vegan and I am a donut lover. After enjoying these at Fresh so many times, I am so pleased there is one close-by now! The flavours are so good, the donuts are fresh and huge, not to mention pretty. I love that they always have new flavours, it's great to try different ones.

Bloomers recently opened a spot at Bayview Village and I've never been happier to live closer to amazing vegan donuts! Even though I'm not a vegan, these donuts are AWESOME! They're also so large you can easily share with a friend. Plus the price is excellent for the quality of the food! I need to try their bagels and cream cheese next time! Their chai donut is my favourite (raspberry pistachio cheesecake is a close second!)

And since I love anything ube, I was excited to come here and try it. Let me tell you that the donuts here didn't blew me away, nothing special about them. Overall the donuts tasted dry and dense like bread. The fillings/icing/toppings were unpleasantly sweet and some have underwhelming flavour. I've tasted other vegan donuts and it doesn't even come anywhere close to Machino. I have to try these donuts to see what's the hype about them: Ube Creme Brulee Utter disappointment is what I felt upon taking my first bite of the Ube Creme Brulee donut. There is no way you can taste the ube in this donut! Artificial ube flavouring/color - a big YES, real purple ube flavour - resounding NO. Trust me I know, since I grew up eating ube and can distinguish the real taste of fresh ube vs artificial ube flavour. This donut also has a description saying ube custard but doesn't even taste like one since the filling has a thinner consistency. Classic Apple Fritter They said this donut is very popular and everyone's favourite. But I beg to differ since this is my least favourite donut. The donut has a sweet and salty flavour combination that makes the pairing less successful. It borders more on excessive saltiness that overwhelms the delicate sweet flavour of the donut. The apples in the donut were very limited and lacking the flavour you normally find in an apple fritter. Devil's Chocolate Before buying this donut, I asked the cashier if this is dark chocolate and she said yes. Shouldn't have listened to her coz this is one of the worst donuts I have tasted and there's no way this is made with dark chocolate. The combination of the cocoa glaze topping plus the chocolate cake crumbs and chocolate ganache is the worst flavour combination ever! It's nauseatingly sweet and I didn't even enjoy it. I don't even see any positive thing about this place. The store is small, it's just a takeaway place and designed for customers to grab their donuts/drinks and go. I was even planning to buy coffee but quickly changed my mind when I saw nowhere to seat and enjoy the food. Service was abysmal. The Asian cashier was so unfriendly and no one is manning the front of the store. I have to wait for a while coz the staff were missing in action. After helping me, she took off again to God knows where. Another customer walks in and has to wait just like me before the cashier came in front to get her order. Way overpriced for a low quality donut. They take cash but don't accept $50 bill which is disappointing coz there's no sign anywhere in the store that says they don't accept large bills. This further cemented the fact that you should never trust influencers and be cautious of their recommendations solely because of their biased opinions. There's so many donut places to try in Toronto and I'm not giving this place a second chance after having a less than stellar experience.

Once you get through the icing, you do get that mochi chewiness. Overall: 4/5 - I don't mind trying different flavours next time
