This is a great Bible based teaching church…read more Before the two services on Sunday (9:30 & 11:00) they offer free coffee, juice, milk, fruit, breakfast bars & donuts. There are two levels to sit during service with elevator access. They also offer a children's area where you can check the kids in for their own worship. (see pics) Aldo a teen area as well. The volunteers/staff/workers, or what ever you want to call them are all friendly. I've never once felt looked down on or judged because I was in jeans or munching on donuts while filling up my large coffee mug!! The parking lot is large with plenty of area by the doors for drop off and pick up. Inside is large as well with several different rooms upstairs for different classes they offer through out the year. The classes coming up for the year can be viewed on their Web site. The church is a "come as you are" church which means wear what you want. I've seen people in shorts and t shirts along with people in suits and dresses. I wear jeans and a nice shirt which I usually see the most. The age group of this church is all over the board. In other words all ages are there so you can't say it's a young church or an old church. When each service is over they have a police man directing traffic out onto the main road which makes getting out of the parking lot a breeze!!! One thing I notice this church does often is they have social gatherings outside throughout the year. Such as cookouts, and during Halloween they always hold a Trunk or Treat which is a large safe event for the trick or treaters. If your thinking or looking for a friendly bible based church with an opportunity to meet people this is a church worth checking out. Bonus Tip....... Past messages can be heard and viewed on line.

Casper center is a multi functional building located on the property of saint rita Catholic Church…read morein Louisville Kentucky. As you pull into the churches main parking lot entrance from Preston Highway you will see a roundabout and the building right in front of it is the Casper center with the church being directly across the parking lot. This building has been used for so many purposes from church/school functions to private parties and is even a voting station for the elections. The building itself has one main entrance on the side that has ramp. The main area has a open spaced room with tables and chairs and a set of restrooms in the back. It has a small stage area that leads to the back and has a full kitchen. There is a basement that is accessible from the back of the building that consists of 3 rooms, a bathroom and a couple storage closets. To kinda of detail what a Swiss Army knife of a facility the Casper center is I'm going to rattle off some of my favorite memories in the 30 plus years I've been coming here. Me best memories: staying awake during Sunday morning mass across the parking lot knowing if I'm good my mom will take me to the Casper center for after church doughnuts and hot chocolate. rehearsals for my first communion, my confirmation, my daughters baptisms and first communions. it's where the bridesmaids and groomsmen for my wedding got dressed. My daughters girls scouts met here, my daughters kindergarten graduation was here. Growing up for about fifteen years my parents ran the cake booth at the church picnic and the Casper center is where we would setup the cakes. Annual Halloween parties/chili cook offs for my nephews Boy Scouts. It's the first place I ever voted on an election at when I was 18. It has even been a photo studio for family pictures I've taken and my daughters school pictures. During a summer youth group it's even the first place I ever watched a scary movie (the first scream movie) on vhs after peer pressure from some pre teen girls. To others this is probably a standard meeting hall or community hall that they go to for church events, voting, or maybe even a personal party. For me it's so much more. So many great memories that make me the person I am today. So this place to me is a biased 5 star all day. I honestly never knew how much this center was apart of my life until I started writing this review. I'm sure there is so much more I could write about and think of too. Great facility and long time staple of the st Rita and okolona community. A place where memories are truly created.

Saint Rita parish is a wonderful place of worship. It is a Catholic Church located in Okolona since…read more1922. It's first church still remains on the grounds as a hall for meetings before and after Service breakfast is available. The current church addition was added to offer more room for greeting and upgrade and enlarge facilities. You will also find A grade school and multiple sports facilities on the grounds. Each August there is annual great picnic. I Visited on Ash Wednesday services, A special service marking the beginning of Lent. By chance I met up with long time friend after Service I happen to see another friendly face. St Rita's has a welcoming atmosphere so many smiling faces. Ash Wednesday is a renewal. There is no better place for me then St.Rita. 4 Masses on Sunday 9am,11am with a Hispanic Service at noon and youth service at 6pm. Saturday's Service at 5pm. Ample parking with Easy access.
