One of us was a tea drinker, and she even obliged us and offered a free cup of tea (she also gave us a bag of popcorn). Were also surprised she knew where we from (she had family in Yakima!). I was there! The room I had was very nice. King bed, large desk, Shaw Cable (no trying to sell me PPV as soon as I turn on the TV, and an on screen TV guide). The front desk folks are always very friendly. The pillows are tucked into themselves. It's odd, but if you pull out the end from the case it's in, it's like being a magician. VOILA! A real pillow with a normal size. And very comfortable to boot. Overall, if it wasn't surrounded by farmlands that stink up the place twice a year, I'd be ecstatic. You don't need to be a 5 star to feel like it.

There was no place to walk to nearby. There is a pool, the hot tub isn't working. The small fitness room was set at 95 F, it was oppressive. There is the Seasons restaurant & lounge. The lounge has a big TV screen and some automated slot machines. There was a big bar and some tables There was a candy machine and an ATM in the lobby. A buffet breakfast was provided. Potatoes, bacon, eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, and fruit were available. We were in and out quickly, breakfast was clean & adequate. We had a dinner in the seasons restaurant with roast pork, potatoes, and salads

On the other hand-Driving in can make you turn away because of a huge hole in the driveway. Our room was a part of an addition so we had to walk thru halls and halls to get to the elevator to go to our 3rd floor...so...!?!

It sits on a mountain top overlooking Upper Waterton Lake. The lobby and outdoor seating, that overlook the lake are open to the public. There was a boy about 12 years old who was playing the piano in the upstairs lobby which was a treat, he was very talented. There was parking at the top of hill with a short stroll down to the lodge. Of course there was a gift shop and bathrooms avaliable to the public. Lovely space worth seeing.

The water in the sink and shower was hot and plentiful and the beds provided a great night's sleep. The muffins, fruit pie, and coffee are excellent. The proprietor, Stacy, was simply wonderful and told many entertaining tales and provided great advice for our stay in Waterton. The views from the upstairs rooms of Waterton are great and everyone can enjoy the upstairs deck with striking views of the entire area. At night, the galaxy is easily visible and I was able to take some great pictures of it. It is just a very short walk to Cameron falls as well as nice beaches on Waterton Lake. Altogether, I cannot recommend this place high enough!

Every morning there was fresh muffins and tea/coffee for all before people head out for the day. Can be a little crowded in the morning in the lounge but only because everyone is there at the same time. Lovely wrap around porch to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and view. Really love that they have kept the lounge area like a home - makes it feel cozy and would be great if the weather was bad. Clean rooms, enough blankets, heater if it gets very cold, good advice on places to eat and hikes, plus a 10 minute stroll into town. It looks further away on a map but is literally around the corner. Word of advice with all the guests at hotels mainly there for hiking a lot of the restaurants in town close early around 9pm so bear that in mind when planning dinner out. Highly recommend this spot and would happily stay again - sad they are not open in winter as planning a snowshoeing trip for later in the year. Room Tip: Stayed #9 Cowboy Room - on-suite, spacious, outside entry on the ground floor. Only real noise is if you have kids running on the patio/deck upstairs and really only in the day.

It is an easy drive to quaint towns in the area, has amazing lighting, delicious breakfasts, and you leave feeling well-rested and healthy. Janet is by far the best hostess I've ever known.
