I in fact have a daughter whom attends this childcare. She has been nothing but loved on by her teachers in the time she has been attending. While the education and lessons are lacking I have begun to see an improvement in the curriculum. This change I've seen in a short amount of time since a tenured director / directors assistant step down from their positions and the new "agnostic" director took over. ( Not sure why a couple of "Christian" women would attack a person who is in search of her creator but anyway I digress. ) Another thing that I have would like to address is while yes it is true about the weirdo that had been found with child pornography did work at the church this news came out several years after working in the childcare and even one on his closest friends was shocked by the news never suspecting this person was involved in such activities. Each staff member that works during childcare hours whether teachers or administrators are vetted through a background check and fingerprinting process. All of the teachers I have ran into when dropping/ picking my child up from daycare have been very kind to my daughter and always have a story to tell about her day. To base your stance on the childcare because of one terrible, disgusting, loathsome egg is unfair. As far as the christianity of this childcare I can attest to the fact that they do indeed pray before meals and possibly nap time as my daughter always reminds my wife and I we have to pray before both activities. While I hope to see further biblical education as the new director takes over and begins to make the necessary changes the childcare needed so badly. The new director is approachable and pleasent to speak with she is always lending a hand to her teachers as I've seen her more out and about assisting the teachers as needed then I ever did under the old administration. She also welcomes suggestions for improvement from both her staff and the parents. She truly has a heart to grow and develop this childcare. As far as the price goes I think the price alone suggests that this is not just business but a ministry to serve the needs of the community. As you could could go anywhere else and spend 2,3, even 4 times the price to get the same care for your child as you do here. As far as the turnover goes here there is quite a bit of turnover but that is to be expected for any minimum wage position. The people that work here aren't in it for the money. They're in because they enjoy their work and take pride in where they work. And those who are there for the pay work there until they can find something better but they also have some very devoted teachers who have been there for 5+ yrs. The atmosphere of the daycare is much lighter and cheerier since the new director has taken over she even has taken the time to brighten the rooms up with some fun child oriented colors. Before I swear to you it felt like you were walking on eggshells and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. While the overall educational curriculum could be improved this is safe place where your child will be loved, cared for and fed for a reasonable price.

I had previously had him at Kidz Watch in Perrysburg and then Bee Creative on Heatherdowns. Both daycares were terrible compared to here. Bee Creative sat children in front of a TV ALL DAY LONG. It did not matter what time I dropped my son off or what time I picked him up, the TV was always on and the lights were always dimmed. Kidz Watch was just as bad, with catty assistants who gossiped about me, poor meal plans (I was actually charged per day, per meal, on top of it my normal monthly fee to have my child here.) With all that being said, I didn't expect much from anywhere and figured it was typical. CDC is incredible. All the staff are kind and understanding and genuinely care about the children. I took my son on vacation with me for a week, and he asked me when we were going to go back so he could "Be with my buddies" LOL He has developed genuine connections with the kids and teachers. I watch him learn things, have adventures, go on field trips and grow into an observant, compassionate and caring child. The right daycare/preschool makes all the difference. I have not had a single disappointing experience in the 2 years he has been here. He will be going into kindergarten next year, but I will strongly consider this place as his after school care center as I work until 530pm. When I asked them about this, their answer was " he did not like the food. They left him hungery all the time. With the short time he was attending CDC, he picked up some infection. He could not survive for a long time there. When we was becoming closer to the building , he started to cry. He is no longer attand CDC, but became mad since he was going there and still carrying this habit. For every minute I left my baby in CDC I regret and felt disappointment. Their first priority is not our children, but the money and the property. At the end, I decided to find another day care, I request them to return his staff back, they said they did not know where are they. I contacted the main CDC corporation office, who contacted them, out of the blue they found some of his staff but not all of them. They are not interested in listening to my concerns about why my child is mad and unhappy. They do not want any one to know about there '' generosity with my baby", they screen me from their facebook page, I am no longer able to write a comment, and they removed all of my comments. I love Children's Discovery Center! After researching and visiting many programs in the area, I…read morewalked into the Perrysburg CDC and knew it was the perfect fit to send my infant son. They have such an amazing staff with so much heart and a caring mindset. The Director of the facility really cares about the children and works with the parents daily. It's everything you would expect when trusting your child's care to someone else. The facility is clean and well taken care of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart, but structured so that the teachers can help each other out. It's obvious that the CDC staff puts a lot of time and energy into the well thought out room designs. They are fun and interactive for the kids to explore and grow as children. You just get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk through their doors. My son has now moved up through their system and is in the toddler rooms now. The teachers really try to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualized way. All the teachers in the infant and toddler rooms love having him and he loves seeing them. And best of all, the children seem very happy there. When I see my son interact with the other kids, they are attentive and share toys with him and give him hugs whenever he comes and goes. It's very nice to know that he is in a caring environment while he isn't home. I can see the growth and learning every day! The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and I'm very thankful to Children's Discovery Center and the whole CDC team. I love this place and so does my son. My child is happy and thriving, which makes me a happy parent.

I exclusively breast-feed and they made sure it was stored correctly. Michelle goes above and beyond with the kids in the baby room. She comes up with age appropriate safe crafts for the littles to do. She always is doing something fun when I pick up my daughter. She has given me clothes for my daughter. She just does her best and I'm glad that my daughter is under her care!

I had never heard of Forte School prior to 2015. It was just another music school to a guy who…read morewouldn't know any better. I sought out wanting piano lessons for my son and I just assumed all schools would be the same. I was directed to Forte because of reviews of my friends'. Upon entering the school, I was impressed, I must admit. But honestly, it's not like I had other music schools to compare it to. The first instructor we had was young, a little wet behind the ears, but a knowledgeable instructor. After the first year, we switched to a more seasoned teacher, much like any student would in regular school. My thought was to have as rounded an education for my son as possible. But this is where it gets real. Our new teacher, Sy Winnie, was from another planet. He didn't just instruct well because he is the greatest piano player I've ever personally witnessed, but he related to my son on a personal level. My son wanted to talk about his piano teacher WELL after the lesson was over and I knew something magical was happening. After the second year, I noticed my son's skills becoming remarkably noticeable and random strangers would comment. He began playing public pianos in different cities we would vacation in, and people even began to tip him! As the years went on, my son has developed such a strong skill in music that it extended not only to him joining the band in middle school and high school, but it actually bettered his academics as well! Music education develops pathways in the brain that normal students never develop which enhance the learning curve on any subject. My son is now in high school, has a 4.0 school average and his musicianship has never been better. His youtube videos of his piano playing has even been watched by thousands. When the quarantine hit, I thought this would slow his music education or even ruin it. But, the owner of the school called me directly to tell me he didn't want to lose him as a student. They set up lessons via tablet-technology and continued regardless of distance. This school doesn't just teach. It cares. I honestly think it changed not only my son's life, but indirectly, mine too.
