Run... I pulled my son out and went somewhere else after about 8 months because he was getting bit…read moreconstantly by the same kid and they just acted like it was no big deal. I know biting happens with toddlers but it was extremely excessive. I would usually get a message from them saying my son got bit again and if I responded or asked a question, I just got ignored. It made me feel like my son and I were very unimportant to them. The last time he got bit was almost 3 weeks ago and there is still a mark on his face, hopefully it doesn't scar. It was a huge bite mark on his cheek. He had just been bitten on his arm a week before that, that wasn't even healed yet when this happened. They were always pretty deep bite marks, a couple times even bruised. Very upsetting that they werent protecting my child from one that is constantly biting. 9 times out of 10 he was very upset when I dropped him off, so I felt terrible leaving him there like he didn't like it there. Also, everyday when I picked him up his face was filthy like they never wiped his face (food, snot, etc). He was always sick so idk how clean it was kept since I wasn't aloud in the building, you have to text them when you get there and they bring your kid out. I never got any kind of updates on anything he might have been being taught there, if they did anything at all. They barely ever sent anything they might have done, home. The only updates I got thru the day was when his diaper was changed and sometimes what they fed him but I was never told if he ate any of it. I did ask for them to tell me that and they did it a couple times and then I wasn't updated anymore. I think a daycare should have a lot more communication with the parents on what their kids are doing all day. I doubt they do any educational activities with the toddlers at all. I really don't recommend this place.

At this time, their website does indicate the same family is still running the center. My son attended Love n' Learn from the time he was 2 until 5 years of age. It's so hard to leave your small child in the care of someone else. I completely trusted the people at Love n' Learn and felt totally comfortable leaving my son in their care. I am so thankful I found this fabulous place. Many daycare centers have high turnover but there were several people that have worked at LNL for several years. This daycare began at a church so it is christian based though, they do not seem to designate a specific religion. There seemed to be an emphesis on values and teaching the kids to treat each other with respect. When the kids were disruptive or did not follow the rules, there were age appropriate consequences. The owners, a family, were ALWAYS on site and always accessible. I feel my son received a great base education in the "pre-k" program to send him on his way, prepared for grade school where he is an "A" student.

I am so pleased with the professional and amazing treatment Tina shows in this school. I saw the review before mine and as a mom of a preschooler there, I can stand behind the tough choice she had to make as a director because I am 100% confident that any choice like that is one that had great effort and thought before making such a tough decision. Yes, children can get testy, but I know the staff speaks daily to parents as to what kind of day our children had and bring up any concerns they may have and I also know that a child would never just get released. When these young children are to a point where it is placing other children, or even staff, at ongoing risk,( which would play a large part for a release), difficult choices have to be made, regardless if it were verbal or physical. I am grateful to know that these teachers care so much and I know that the choices that are made are done because of the care they have. On another note, I am absolutely AMAZED with what my daughter learned this year! She begs to go to school when it is a day she isn't scheduled to go. I was beyond confident for her kindergarten screening due to how well prepared she is from the education she was given here. Every single staff member has shows care and love for our children and they prove it daily. I highly recommend this school.

This is not a 4 star child care. Negative reviews continue to be screened incorrectly or at the request of the business. In the last 3 days, 3 negative reviews have been removed. (2 others were removed last week.) This child care is having trouble maintaining its work force. As many have stated there is a high turnover rate - and in the past two months they at least 8 employees have quit (some for jobs with lower compensation) The business owner is hardly present during the week. I would avoid this child care - there are plenty of better ones in the area. read more

If you're looking for an honest review, you won't find it on Yelp. It seems they are influenced by the business owner and all negative reviews have been removed. The state of this daycare has been in decline the last few months under new leadership. The "business owner" is rarely available during the week and the subordinates are no help in resolving issues because they have to check in with the owner. Many teachers and care providers have quit and moved on in the last few months. I am not and have not been employed by this daycare. read more

I had previously had him at Kidz Watch in Perrysburg and then Bee Creative on Heatherdowns. Both daycares were terrible compared to here. Bee Creative sat children in front of a TV ALL DAY LONG. It did not matter what time I dropped my son off or what time I picked him up, the TV was always on and the lights were always dimmed. Kidz Watch was just as bad, with catty assistants who gossiped about me, poor meal plans (I was actually charged per day, per meal, on top of it my normal monthly fee to have my child here.) With all that being said, I didn't expect much from anywhere and figured it was typical. CDC is incredible. All the staff are kind and understanding and genuinely care about the children. I took my son on vacation with me for a week, and he asked me when we were going to go back so he could "Be with my buddies" LOL He has developed genuine connections with the kids and teachers. I watch him learn things, have adventures, go on field trips and grow into an observant, compassionate and caring child. The right daycare/preschool makes all the difference. I have not had a single disappointing experience in the 2 years he has been here. He will be going into kindergarten next year, but I will strongly consider this place as his after school care center as I work until 530pm. When I asked them about this, their answer was " he did not like the food. They left him hungery all the time. With the short time he was attending CDC, he picked up some infection. He could not survive for a long time there. When we was becoming closer to the building , he started to cry. He is no longer attand CDC, but became mad since he was going there and still carrying this habit. For every minute I left my baby in CDC I regret and felt disappointment. Their first priority is not our children, but the money and the property. At the end, I decided to find another day care, I request them to return his staff back, they said they did not know where are they. I contacted the main CDC corporation office, who contacted them, out of the blue they found some of his staff but not all of them. They are not interested in listening to my concerns about why my child is mad and unhappy. They do not want any one to know about there '' generosity with my baby", they screen me from their facebook page, I am no longer able to write a comment, and they removed all of my comments. So they think no one will know about them. I strongly recommended to avoid going to CDC. Ex-CDC parent

They have such an amazing staff with so much heart and a caring mindset. The Director of the facility really cares about the children and works with the parents daily. It's everything you would expect when trusting your child's care to someone else. The facility is clean and well taken care of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart, but structured so that the teachers can help each other out. It's obvious that the CDC staff puts a lot of time and energy into the well thought out room designs. They are fun and interactive for the kids to explore and grow as children. You just get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk through their doors. My son has now moved up through their system and is in the toddler rooms now. The teachers really try to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualized way. All the teachers in the infant and toddler rooms love having him and he loves seeing them. And best of all, the children seem very happy there. When I see my son interact with the other kids, they are attentive and share toys with him and give him hugs whenever he comes and goes. It's very nice to know that he is in a caring environment while he isn't home. I can see the growth and learning every day! The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and I'm very thankful to Children's Discovery Center and the whole CDC team. I love this place and so does my son.
